I bought a Sony 60" TV from Starpower and it is incredible. I love the clarity of the image, it's like i'm sitting right in the middle of the action! I don't like it when salesmen hover around and are constantly commenting on everything you look at. No problem at Starpower, I was able to browse at my pace and was able to ask questions when I wanted. I really enjoyed the experience and I'll go back.

I was looking for a really great new TV. With so much to choose from it's difficult to really know what kind of TV is gonna work best for the space you want to put it in. I was referred to Starpower by a friend and they were able to explain what would work best for my living room. I'm very happy with my new Sony TV. It looks great. Football season is gonna rock!!

I am by no means a star, but I did get treated like a VIP at Starpower. I'm not sure about the other posts that are completely negative. Seems they may be out to just hurt the company, maybe working for a competitor? I had a great experience. I'm not really knowledgeable about electronics and Matt really helped me by listening to what I wanted and suggesting what would work best. Let's face it, most electronic stores don't have sales people, they have employees who know where to find items on the shelves. The sale people at Starpower know what they are selling! I didn't buy a huge entertainment center with all the fixings, just a stereo system for my house. I strongly recommend them for anyone who doesn't mind spending a little more for a high quality item and great customer service.

Absolutely the worst experience you can ever have. I checked out the demo there however I was given an estimate where all the prices were masked. As a smart shopper I want to make sure I get the value for the purchase and I was planning on spending over $20k for good stuff for my media. I never got the details although they promised several times for full disclosure. I then finally got details but found out the equipment I was given was completely different from the demo I saw and at least 30% higher than another store that is extremely reputable with better equipment. I am sorry to say that I did not purchase from Starpower mainly because they advertise and show you something and sell you something else. Not to mention they are extremely pushy. My $20k went elsewhere...and I couldnt be happier

Well, so I have learned that if you are not a Star, nor have Power... you are basically trash for all they care.

They add on terribly unnecessary expenses if you have them over for an estimate and it is hidden in the printout so that one would not notice at all. The Star Treatment package is a joke, and I feel for anyone suckered into this. Too many of my friends have now told me great horror stories of having to hire secondary and even third party contractors to fix what they never would complete.

Yeah, I will admit that the stores are impressive, and so is the knowledge of the sales people.... however they have to make a profit I would assume... A VERY BIG PROFIT to make up for all of the jargon right?

Yeahhhh, they are way overpriced, and don't let them fool you with the "free TV promotions either. Its just an overpriced TV that you pay for and get the other one (low end pos) for free. Not! ...you paid for it actually.

Do your research first, and then see if a local smaller dealer can help you instead. They do not seem to put on all of the fancy fireworks and tell you the truth.

I happened to find one near where I lived that did not give me all of the razzle dazzle and just got to the point.

You are correct, that the builder ultimately designed and built the disco room after our discussion. Nowhere does Starpower take credit for the finish out of the room. We do, however, take credit for integrating the room with the AMX touch panel, video switching for all 5 screens, high performance speakers and a/v receiver, the disco ball and smoke machine and the in floor subwoofers (that were installed under the floor on the side walls). The work is something we are proud of and shouldn't be libeled by those with questionable motivation.

Just remember that you do not take any money with you when you die!!!!!! So Spend, spend, spend!!!!! The customer service is outstanding and worth every penny! The people who are so negative are either stuck on themselves or are very jealous that they did not buy anything from Starpower. The person who put a system in for $1000 must have made it out of cardboard boxes. To put in a good system will cost at least $10K if not more. All I can say is I was warned. What drives this company is not customer service, it is greed. It's the "what's in it for me attitude". Not all people are rich nor VIP's, but everyone should be treated that way. As for wanting everything for free, there are a few customers who do, they are usually the ones who have all the money. As far as the employees who have succombed to their ravenous ways of business, I hope they become conscience of the vortex they are perpetuating and escape with there morals. Not all people are rich nor VIP's, but everyone should be treated that way. As for wanting everything for free, there are a few customers who do, they are usually the ones who have all the money. As far as the employees who have succombed to their ravenous ways of business, I hope they become conscience of the vortex they are perpetuating and escape with there morals. What I am trying to say is, you've been warned!

Update on my previous review:

To date no one from SP has ever contacted me or my company to resolve the horrible service we received, and the job is still incompete. We had to bring in two different contractors to complete the job. I only say this because of all the suspiciously positive reviews that are suddenly here. Come on Star Power make it right with me and you won't have to make up fake reviews!!!!

I have to disagree with the two positive posts based on my experience with this company. Additionally, it's not just the low budget customers who get the shaft from these guys. I am the product manager for a medium sized company. I contracted with these guys based on a great sales presentation and high level of product knowledge. Admittedly they were impressive. I was told this project would take 2 days once all the equipment was in. I received a quote for nearly $30,000.00 which I paid in FULL in September. The target was to have the system done by our annual Christmas party. They not only missed the deadline, but they refused to call me back for weeks before and after the deadline. I could understand if circumstance prevented them from meeting the deadline, but they never communicated to me about any delays of note. I escalated the situation to the regional manager who did nothing to improve the situation and the lack of communication continued. My system install finally began two months later in late December. It was nearly a month before we could use the system at all and, to date, it is still not completed as promised. You read that right, after 6 months and $30,000.00, as of today they still have not finished the job. We called, emailed, visited the store and done everything else we can think of. We had to hire another contractor to finish the job because they left a huge hole in our wall and never would come back to fix it. This company is fully aware of our concerns and is apparently not concerned in the least with our lack of satisfaction.

Horrible customer service, rude and disrespectful manager and regional manager, took complaint to owner and have never heard back from them. If you are not Mark Cuban or obviously rich they will treat you with disdain and desire to have nothing to do with you. This company will not last through a depression.
I had a very small complaint and was basically told to go pound sand, no effort was made by the store, or even the regional manager to even look into my question.

I dont know what that guys problem is. probably had old crapppy equipment they didnt wanna mess with. I loved starpower just bought a 50" plasma and couldnt be happier. I will always refer all of my friends and family to go there and get taken care of. Some people are just wannabe VIPs and expect things that are unreasonable and free and dont wanna pay for the good service. I paid full price and still think they deserve more they were phenomenal. thanks alot starpower it was awesome
