My salesperson Joe was great. He put up with a lot of back and forth with me and my mother. He never lost his cool and only wanted to make sure we purchased exactly what we wanted.

Salesman Joe was excellent. He provided straight honest answers to my questions and especially when I asked for a quote he provided one and didn??t ask for me to call him. I told him I would definitely return to purchase a vehicle from him and would recommend him to family and friends. Wish other car salesmen would learn from him.

My father recently passed away on May 08, 2008 and my brother and I had plans to drive from Austin to Lubbock to attend the the funeral and take care of other things. I took this vehicle to the dealer in question on May 8, 2008 at around 10:30am and informed a Mr. Greg Workman, who is the assistant service manager, of my situation and asked if he was sure he could have the vehicle done before the end of the day. He responded with a definite yes. I didn't hear anything from him until 4:45pm that night at which time he proceeds to inform me that I needed to replace the serpentine belts for $160.00, fix an oil leak for $280.00. I told him to proceed with the service that he had covered at which time he informed me that they would not be able to start on it until the next morning because they were closing in 10 minutes. That evening I had a chance to look over my finances and realized that with having to cover my father's expenses, I was not going to be able to afford the work that was said to be needed to be done. I called Mr Workman at 5:30am the morning of May 09, 2008 and left a voice mail, because they were not open yet, and informed him of my situation again and told him I could not afford the service and to not do any of it and that I would be in when they opened to pick up my vehicle. Mr. Workman called me back at 7:30am to inform me that the work had already been done and that I would not get my vehicle back unless I paid the money. I feel Mr Workman saw an opportunity to take advantage of me and did. I asked how it was possible for us to talk last at around 5:00pm when they were closing and no work had been done and to talk again at 7:30am, a half hour after they open, and now all of a sudden all the work had been done. This was work that he was charging me anywhere from 3 to 4 hours of labor on. He told me that the mechanic stayed late the night before working on it to which I explained that his time card should reflect this and asked to see it which he told me I could not. I told him I was on my way down there and to do nothing until I got there. He calls me about 10 minutes later while I was driving my wife's car down there, and tells me that he tried to perform a state inspection on the vehicle but could not go any further because the check engine light came on and he then said he proceeded to hook my vehicle up to the diagnostic machine which told him my catalytic converter was going out and I needed to have that replaced. I told him that I had asked him not to do anything else until I got there and wanted to know why he explicitly ignored me and went ahead with all of this. I showed up at the dealership and asked for the old serpentine belts that he supposedly removed the night before and he told me that they probably threw them away and that he could not get them for me. I already know there is no way that any of that work had been done yet but he was standing there lying to my face to trap me into having to give him money or not be at my father's funeral. He explained to me that he would have everything fixed before 12:00pm and he would call me. I had to change all my plans and miss out on some services for my father because of all of this. he then calls me at 2:30pm (not before 12:00) to inform me that my vehicle was ready and that if I did not pay, they could not release my vehicle. So for the rest of the afternoon I had to try and come up with the $500.00 or so dollars to get my vehicle out of the shop. I was not able to do so until after 5:00pm that day so I was not able to pick up my vehicle until the morning of May 10, 2008. So I pay and get my vehicle and get home just to realize that no state inspection had been performed, and I was charged for windshield wiper blades that I had never asked for and do not believe were replaced. This entire experience is despicable. I can not believe that a business is allowed to operate in this fashion in the US.

I visited the used car lot of Town North Nissan today and had the unfortunate luck of working with a salesman named Kyle.

From the start he was overbearing and abrasive, but it got worse. When Kyle was speaking with his manager about the prices we were discussing, he left the office doors open and I heard him make a racial joke using the n-word. The used car manager was apologetic but by that point I was so frustrated that I left.

They may have good cars and maybe the other salesman are fine, but my experience was the worst shopping experience I've had in my life. You would think people would know better than to make a racist joke at all, much less with a customer sitting 10 feet away.

If you do shop here, avoid Kyle in the used car department.

The wait period was awesome!!! I think I was only in there for 20 minutes and my car was ready. I know it was only an oil change but there are some places where you can wait up to an hour or more on something that simple!!!

Town North Nissan always gives good service. I was worried about something entirely unrelated to my car and my service person (I think his name is Shaun) was very nice to me. He explained my questions about air conditioning several times. I could not ask for better service. Thanks again Shaun.

I enjoyed the experience. You did have the car we wanted on the lot... you were able to meet the price we were willing to pay... and there was a good buyer-seller relationship between my family and your staff... including your finance person (""JJ""). I purchased the maintenance and dent options. I am glad you offered those programs.

Beware of the new style key fobs, with the chip located in the key, itself, not the fob piece with buttons. That means only the dealer can replace it, and you can be at their mercy if you want to drive your own car.
The key fobs for our 2011 Nissan Versa only work sporadically, and Austin's Town North Nissan dealership is refusing to replace them. I've had problems for quite a while with both key fobs. No matter which one I carry, it only works part of the time. I discovered through some research that keeping the key fob near a cell phone might cause this problem. Of course, most women carry both a cell phone and car keys in their purses, so this would be a major design flaw and security problem, since it potentially leaves a person stranded with no entry to the car.
I have meant to call the dealer about this problem for some time, but meanwhile have been carrying the key fob in my hand so that it would work better. However, this makes it much harder to keep track of. The other day I lost the key fob and decided that this much inconvenience for a 2011 car under warranty was too much.
I went to Town North Nissan, where we bought the car a few months ago, and talked to the service department and to the original sales person, Christy, at length about the problem. They agreed that cell phones can disrupt the way the items work, a fact that wasn't disclosed when we bought the car. They tested the key fob I had with me and agreed it was defective. After some discussion, staff said their service manager, Greg, would agree to replace one key fob, but not both, since I could only produce one. I explained that the other one was lost in part because I couldn't keep it in my purse because it often didn't work from there.
Even though the service staff agreed the key fob I had was defective, they maintained that - get this - replacing both key fobs (for a new car still under warranty) would only encourage other people who had lost perfectly good key fobs to try to get free replacements.
I was forced to accept their deal or leave, knowing no other business would be able to provide the service. I left. (And just for the record, I did talk to my car repair garage, a locksmith, and two online key fob replacement companies, who all agreed with this assessment.)
I'd like a car with keys, please. At the very least, Town North Nissan should replace both key fobs under warranty.
My advice is to stay away from the new style key fobs AND to stay away from Town North Nissan, where it doesn't seem to be worth the less than $100 it would have taken to keep this customer.

THESE PLACE IS FABULOUS! I just purchased my fourth car from this dealership, and I was totally impressed with my salesperson, the finance people and everything. I had already gotten my financing when I went to purchase my Versa, and the Financial Director came and asked me if I would mind if he tried to beat my rate, I said no problem AND HE DID!!!!! Total customer service from walking in the door to walking out of the door with my beautiful car!\r

If you want to avoid seedy sales tactics, lousy service centers and bold-faced lies, then don't buy a car from Town North Nissa. I've never been treated so rudely or seen an entire organization behave so unprofessionally. Horrible experience all around and I will never by from them again.

Well, I can'
t agree with much of the one star reviews here. I bought a new Sentra from them. It DID develop a power failure problem at around 3000 miles. The first repair, a new battery, didn't ""take"". But the service crew dug in and got to the bottom of the problem, a factory defect in the battery cable, and it now has been running fine. I can be ""high maintanence"" but no one has ever taken attitude with me as a result. They haven't always been perfect (last time around on that power glitch problem one of my keys didn't get reprogrammed) but they own up and then bend over backwards to render great customer service (picked up and delivered my car with both keys reprogrammed). I'd rather have this than some business that absolutely denies that they are less than perfect.

By the way, I think I got a great deal on my Sentra, too.

Compared to my experience at Charles Maund, this has been OK so far. The purchase was painless. I asked for quotes through Edmunds and Lila gave me a quote that was fair (based on Edmunds web site) and I got a fair trade in on my Toyota. She was the only Nissan dealer in the area that actually quoted me a price before I came in. All the others wanted me to drive the car first and then go through the some old car buying experience. I had driven an Altima as a rental, so I knew I wanted to buy one. So I will say that the sales experience was overall a good experience from a pricing and trade in perspective. But at the close, there were all these things like extended service agreements and such that you have to agree to purchase that day. I would have preferred time to review that. The close was done by another person who I only dealt with that day, not the sales person. I didn't care for that part. Service has been fine so far, but I've only had the oil changed and tires rotated. So I'll say that they're average but so far, much better than my experience at Maund.

Compared to my experience at Charles Maund, this has been OK so far. The purchase was painless. I stopped to look at used trucks, approached by a self identified manager (though shabbily dressed). Soon he started acting like a mental patient off his meds, waving his arms, almost yelling at me & cursing American made trucks (I was driving a ford truck) . Just bizarre behavior, unnecessary obvious lies, I soon turned my back on him & walked away. The other sales ppl. were watching & laughing at the spectacle from the used building door ( he was so loud they all had to have heard). A week later, I stopped in to complain, new car management just said ""some in sales are enthusiastic, what do you want from us !!!! The dispicabel can be so %#@* arrogant !!! I have owned a small biz in Austin for 30 years & none of these ppls cud work for me for even 1 day !!

Pros: absolutely none - a negitive star if aloud

Cons: only spoke to used dept, but so sleasy & dishonest

I have an Xterra that had a recall on a gas tank, of which I was never notified. After the warranty ran out and at 50,000 miles, was told I needed a new gas tank for $1000. which was ridiculous. Now again am told need a new gas tank, never mentioning the recall. I have paid for service that was never done and the service people are hateful. Go to Round Rock people, stay away from this rip off joint.

Cons: Good Sales team, bad bad maintenance

I've already filed complaints with Nissan Consumer Affairs and the better business... Town North has replaced my radio to my new 2008 Altima TWICE and it is still malfunctioning. I spoke with the service manager, Tim Lenon, and he was super disrespectful with a ""I don't care attitude."" Both the customer service and follow up at this establishment is pathetic. Needless to say... I took my vehicle to Round Rock Nissan hoping for better service.

If you want to be forced to speak to a manager when you really are ""just looking"" then go to this dumphole. I went to browse at some used cars and before I knew it, I was listening to some *uck of a FAT OLD manager go through his dog and pony show. LISTEN UP!!!! WHEN I WANT TO JUST LOOK, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! You are NOT going to FORCE someone into buying a car. If I want help I will deal with a salesperson. It is just downright stupid to make the salespeople waste MY TIME to talk to you like you can brainwash me or something to buy a f**king car. Get over you fat self old man!!!!

Tried to get my vehicle serviced on a Thursday so I could leave town on Friday morning to handle my recently deceased fathers affairs. I explained to Greg Workman, the assistant service manager, that my father had just passed and I needed the car to go out of town that weekend. He took this to mean that he could take advantage of me in any way he saw fit, which he proceeded to do. I am limited to only 2,000 characters here so I will simply post a link to the full description I posted on yelp.\r

I had to use tinyurl here as well because this site limits word lengths to 35 characters so I had to shorten the url in order to post it.
