DO NOT TAKE YOUR MERCHANDISE HERE. THEY DO NOT WANT TO PAY YOU ONCE IT HAS SOLD. I had never used a place like this before. I will never use one again either.

I love buying and selling through this store. I purchased a crystal chandelier five years ago but never purchased a house big enough to hold it. I brought it into Garage Sale Drop Off, and they sold it for top dollar in less than a week. I love to go into the store to shop around and find good deals. Something new every day. Just wanted to give them kudos for the great job they did for me!

WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Should change name to Garage Sale Rip Off!

Owners hide behind a veil of secrecy to keep from paying clients for goods dropped off.

They've had my several boxes of stuff for about a year. I have only seen one thing from my stuff in the store and all they can say is "It's still in processing."

Where? It's not in the store in the boxes I brought it in. It's not on the internet. have you seen their website? hardly any items on there at all and NONE of my stuff.

I brought in good quality garage sale stuff and now I can't get anywhere with my questions.

Not worth the hassle, not worth the headache.

This is the same kind of nightmare I went through. Putting me off while my things were being processed and then all of a sudden my many items simply vanished with no explanation while only a few were sold for a tiny amount. I dropped my stuff off in January and was given the excuse that it was in processing until last week (early August) when i was presented with a short list of "sold" items that was missing dozens of things that I had brought in. Again I say RIP-OFF!

Called their 888-275-0846 number again today and guess what? That's right a recording with the same promise to call me back,

HA! Called the store number and got a recording too! August 25 and still no call from "customer service" I just left another message. This is what I got..."All representatives are assisting other customers at this time, but your call is very important to us"

After calling the store and telling them I would get an attorney, I got a call back. They are looking for my "missing" stuff.

Now it's November and I never heard another word from the employee who promised to look into what happened to all of my stuff. I guess that's all you really need to know about these guys. I just hope that you are reading these reviews BEFORE you trust them with your merchandise or your money. TOTAL RIP OFF. I used to be a customer, but, because of my experience, I will never buy anything from them again.

Now it's December 23, still no word from Garage Sale Rip Off. Steve miller says it best, " Oh oh, take the money and run" I went in yesterday and the latest "sucker" I mean new employee, suggested that I call "customer service" for an inventory audit. Same old song.

I will never leave my stuff there again.

I have called the lack of "Customer service" number many times and all I get is a recording. I have left messages which have not been returned. I asked the store clerks what to do and they are not allowed to give out a "real" phone number. I was told I could request an inventory, and would get one in 24 hours. So, I did and it said that I had just over a dozen items on the list and all but 2 had been sold, but, that they only owed me about 4 bucks I had received a check for around $30, previously and that makes my several boxes of stuff and the items too big for boxes worth only $34?. When and where did this stuff get sold? I check the store regularly and have only seen 2 of my items on the shelf. I took in several full boxes and many items too big for a box and they only have 15 items accounted for? If you are under new management, does that mean new ownership? New accounting methods, new customer service skills? I was in there this week and I saw the mountains of "unprocessed" boxes of seller's items, just like when I waited months while my items sat in a pile and were then moved to "a processing facility." Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I will not do business with this company again. Garage sale Rip Off would be a better name. I took many boxes full of things over a year ago and they still haven't paid me and they keep saying to call customer service , which is a recording.

Used this for years. Never had any problems. I have entrusted what I consider to be valuable items and have always been happy. Just thought I'd speak up. I have a business too and I know unfortunately unhappy people are more likely to post than unhappy people.

We have used this company for years and absolutely love it! Friendly staff and very organized. Beats having to sell it yourself and deal with some of the fruitloops on Craigslist.

On 21 January 2010 I dropped off Pfaltzgraff Heirloom pottery pieces: a pair of candlestick holders; a margarine holder with lid; 4 piece canister set with lids. They were packed in two boxes with the help of Patricia (Patty). Over the next few months I called Patricia to check on my balance. I was repeatedly told that my items were still in the warehouse waiting to be priced. By May I was told that the balance was $0 but I did not see my items in the store. In June I was again told the same thing. By July I was told again that the balance was $0. This time I saw the candlesticks, the margarine holder and lid and two of the canisters minus the lids. It was suggested to wait until after the 16th and check back in. I was told that the owners would be notified and I would be called. I never received a call. I returned on July 20th to find the items still in store/ $0 balance. It was then that I noticed that the " 4 piece canister set" was displayed as two canisters (minus the lids) and then the small margarine holder with the lid - this was considered the 4 piece set! The stickers also indicated that they were priced 16 June at 3:53. I collected what was left of my items and was told to forward an email so that the matter could be looked into. I was called by an employee and told that after some investigation it was discovered that there had been an accident and that those missing pieces were broken. I was also told that the items had been packed with two pieces of newspaper. THAT, I know was inaccurate. Why did it take 6 months to be told that my items were broken? I should have been told when it happened not when I went looking for my pieces that were supposedly on display. I was out money, I was out a good set of canisters and I was left with a feeling that this is a poorly run establishment. The store itself is not very organized although the people they have working there are very polite and sadly, handing out apologies that should be coming from higher up.

What make this business cheat customers and it's the
customers that make the business. I carried things
on a daily base. I have been in the store and saw customer by my things and still had less than $30
on the said books. The sales lady has lied so many times about my sectional. I took a white great shape
when I saw it on the show room floor it had a large
hole in one of the seats. When asked how or when
were they going to do about the sofa I got a unintelligent
answer. A number of times I have gone in the and a customer was asking about something they have taken
and it was not sold but it was no longer in the store.

It is recommended that this business close it's doors because theves belong in jail.

Pros: Liar About Con-signment Being Sold

Cons: One day you are told you have more on the book

We have done business with Garage Sale Drop Off many times, and have NEVER encountered any problems. We know when we take items to the facility that there is a specified time limit (plenty of time, by the way) to sell the items. Customers agree to that time limit before they leave their items to be sold. Today we are preparing another load of items and are sure that Garage Sale Drop Off will do their best to accommodate us. I would give this business 10 stars!! FRIENDLY STAFF!!!

I made a mistake trusting this people with things I wanted to get some money for. I had a desk there for about 4 months I would go in there once a month and they choose to donate my desk, I know it was on the contract that could, but they did not even notify me about it at all. I spoke with one of the girls (NOT STEPHANIE)and she said she sold it,but customer service(BIG RUDE B) says they donated it (LIAR)
