Excellent coffee, better than Starbucks! (and I mean that) ... Lorenzo is a walking coffee encyclopedia and an excellant Barista! Good food as well!

Passion for coffee . . . from the farms to the customer . . . is what makes Caffe Medici the best coffee in the South . . . if you are looking for a traditional italian coffee experience with a velvety cappuccino for breakfast or a quick shot of espresso to lift your afternoon, some great conversation about the coffee industry, some beautiful latte art or you just need some great, fresh-roasted coffee to brew at home, Caffe Medici is the ONLY place to go in Austin.

By far the most respectable attribute of this establishment is consistency. From the world class baristas and product, to overall cleanliness, fresh flowers delivered daily, and friendly, knowledgeable service Cafe Medici beats the competition with a stick.

I hired Caffe Medici to provide espresso, lattes and cappuccinos for my wedding and i could not have been more delighted with the experience.
The team arrived with everything that we needed. Coffee, cups, milk, sweeteners, power cords and a world class espresso machine. I didn't have to worry about a thing.
The coffee was excellent and my guests gushed over it the entire night. It didn't hurt that our barista had just come in 2nd place in a regional coffee making championship.
It has been a month since our wedding and I am still getting compliments on how wonderful the coffee was. If you're crazy about coffee, this is the go-to team for you.

Medici was once for me an out of the way coffee shop that I had heard faint rumors of bouncing around the city . . . no longer. This is now my everyday destination for the most expertly prepared espresso and cappuccinos you can find in the city. Friendly baristas, a hot rod for an espresso machine, and of course, great coffee. I just found out that they do coffee cart services as well. Amazing! Coffee and espresso of this quality whenever I'm throwing an event . . . you betcha!
I will agree with the previous poster that the parking is tedius and it does get crowded, but all in all, damn fine coffee.

I went here to work and it was very lovely weather, so I decided to sit outside. It was actually VERY noisy outside with the traffic and noise from surrounding businesses/etc.
Parking was AWFUL, as the lot adjacent to the building only has a handful of spots for Caffe Medici, the rest are for the dry cleaner. Street parking can be hard to find.
The drinks were tasty though. If I go again I will plan to sit inside, regardless of how nice the weather is.

I have been going to Caffe Medici for about six months now, it's only been open a year and a half, and it is hands down THE BEST coffehouse in austin. Not only are the baristas trained and enthusiastic about their product, but they are downright friendly. Coming to a coffehouse of this caliber can be intimidating for those not well versed in the coffee world, but the staff is more than willing to share their knowledge and passion with you, with absolutely NO pretension. I didn't know this was possible to find in Austin, none of this "I'm cooler/hipper than you" attitude. They love their coffee and they love to share it with everyone. The space is well planned out, plenty of seating on chairs or couches, jazz softly playing in the background, and cozy tables right off the street in the front.
When you walk in, the first thing you notice is their Ferrari looking espresso machine, and it only gets better from there. Now, if you'll excuse me, my double cappuccino is ready.
Pros: Great french press coffee, always fresh beans, awesome staff, best espresso
Cons: parking is tight
Austin has no short of coffee shops & espresso bars, but there are few places in this city that take espresso as seriously as Caffe Medici. The well trained pull outstanding shots of espresso and are very knowledgeable about all things espresso and coffee related. Plus, their regular coffee is all made with a French Press ? no icky drip coffee available. Perhaps as importantly, they are the nicest staff in the entire city. They seem to really enjoy what they?re doing and want the customers to feel welcome and free to ask questions. I was beginning to think there was some rule in Austin that said baristas had to be rude and snippy until Caffe Medici opened. This is truly the best coffee shop in our entire city.
Pros: Knowledgeable baristas, great espresso, great service
