I joined Events and Adventures a few months ago and have had a blast ever since! I was initially a little unsure of the idea of buying a membership to go out and have fun but in the long run it has been money well spent. I?ve enjoyed a multitude of different outings and have made a lot of new friends along the way. There is a wide variety of events to choose from and more events in one month than I can even attend so it keep me busy in my spare time! I?ve suggested it to a few friends and took them as guests to a few events and naturally they had a great time as well and 2 of them also became members. It?s nice making new friends but it?s even better when you can mix both your current and new friends together. I noticed a few of the negative remarks about Events and Adventures and I have to say I disagree, these people probably didn?t give it a fair chance. It is a little odd in the beginning but once you let your guard down and start talking to people, it?s impossible not to have a good time.

Pros: tons of events to choose from

Cons: not enough time to attend everything :)

I thought A&E would answer my social needs. It DID NOT.

I bought into the sales pitch at a cost of $1,700.00.
I was not given the time to think about my decision of joining A&E because they would not let me unless I wanted to pay more. The man I met with said, 'that the price offered was only good for that day of the interview.' To "sleep on it" and think it over was not an option. To join the next day would cost me $2,000. This should be a RED FLAG to anyone! This is the definition of a high pressure sales tactic.

I regretfully did join. Went to one event and found it not to be for me: it was disorganized, only five members attended and they seemed to be completely immature, shy, and lacking in social skills.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!
you can spend your money more wisely i.e. host a party, take a class, or simple buy that thing you always wanted because for me joining A&E did not make me anymore social or happy, I was just 1,700.00 poorer.

Be careful with this company. I saw their ad on the internet so I typed in my information. They called me and the guy said "We'll set up an appointment for you to come to our 'clubhouse' and meet a group member." I had no idea about the cost, so I said "Does it cost anything?" and he said yes, but that's never an issue. So I went in for my meeting, which is actually an interview, and the lady talked to me forever and I could tell it was a scam. So she showed me the price, (it's over $1,000 for a year) and I acted hesitant. The catch is that if you go home to think about it, and want to come back at a different date, it will cost you $300 more. So they are trying to pressure you into signing right then. So I signed because they said I had 24 hours to revoke my subscription. Well, I revoked it by sending an email, and it has been about three weeks, and they still haven't refunded my credit card. If this place was all that and more, they would not have to do the "sign now and save $300 or wait till tomorrow and lose the $300." No legitimate offer that is worth the money would do that. Plus, it does not need to take a month to refund someone's credit card.

I was led to believe that there were people. in the 23-30 age group that attended these events. NOT SO! The front office person (name withheld) gave the impression that this was a good place for a 22 year old to associate, and that I could get a pro-rated refund if I did not enjoy the activities. I like to have FUN! But....not with my Dad's friends.

Be careful what you get into. This is a scam.

Don't ever say there aren't any decent people left in the single world. I meet new people every week in the club and have made some fantastic friends. It pays to brave up and check something new out. I am really thankful I did just that. I haven't wanted for something to do since I been in. Ever week new activities and really good people.

I'm really looking forward to the weekends and weekday events. See you there tonight Jan. We are going to be beat but so what its worth the try. Hahaha thanks for yesterday that was a trip.

I became a member in May and have already done 5x as much as I have for the past year I have worked here. I wasn't sure but now I know yes virginia there is a santa clause.....

35 single and wanted a good hearted woman or at least know one exsist. I have been a member for 5mos. and I love it. Houston had been some real high and real lows for dating it was like no woman wanted to just get to know me they are all so bottomline. So when I met the ladies here I was happy to learn yes there are good hearted women left in Houston. Who like to hang out and have a great time doing different stuff other than shop. I recommend it to the skepticle EHW

Being the bachelor that I thought I was I would of never joined a singles club. But after my third date got waisted and lost it I started to see a pattern. I noticed the woman girls I met were gamers and drank for entertainment. I needed to slow it down get out start working out and meeting woman who were fit and nice to be around. This is my find Events and adventures. I couldn't believe it but it is true.

My first event was the summer starter party had the best time. Everyone is very open and welcoming it was very easy going. I am really surprised how many memebers are in even being open for only 2 yrs. I am glad i came in and very glad I was invited to join. Good times coming soon.........................

I was skeptical at first, but I found out that this group is great. I've even tried a couple of activities that I know i would not have tried on my own. Thanks Events and Adventures, for the good times and chillaxin people to make my social life what it's supposed to be with people worth my time..

It's about time....... I finally have agroup of fun people to hang with that aren't a bunch of sticks in the mud. It seems like all the singles I used to meet were drunks or dull as dirt. I joined 2mos ago and have been surprised and pleased ever since. Its nice just to get together with normal people and have a good time without worrys. I am so glad I found it I was starting to lose faith in the Houston singles scene...................... It has been a ball thanks guy's............ SBB

I was on the last leg of a project when I was getting this new thing called free time. I really haven't been out since my marriage ended in 07 and wasn't sure whoo or where to go. Sure I went out with the gwoman at work but that always goes arye. So I found this site on google Events and Adventures. I called the number and went in on a Friday I had 4 different events to do that weekend alone. I loved it. It was such a chilled out group and the woman are all very down to Earth. Its been a great time. I am glad I finally got off my can and am doing something other then throwing money out the window on ditzy dates.................... KM

Until a gf of mine said hey why not try events and adventures. I was very bored with the dating services bs. I needed a place to meet good guys who aren't pigs. Finally I can go out and do stuff without feeling I am being juged and stalked. The men in the club are just that MEN not boys. I am very pleased and I wish I would of joined sooner. I have already gotten two of my friends to join up as well.

I moved from Richmond VA about two years ago. The woman in H town are hot but most are dumb as stumps or gold diggers. This was a problem for me. I had already been through the ringer and didn't want to pay out for some bimbo. So when my brother said try the events and adventures that's all over the radio. So I called and they asked some odd questions I did go into the appointment. The girl was really straight forward very informed she just flat out asked what was I looking for. I liked the fact that they don't accept everyone into the club keep the money grubbers out. So I have been in for a few weeks I have met some cool wooman who are fun and got their lives in order. So I do think if you are looking for a fun club with good cool people this is the only one I have found in town.

This is one of the neatest things I have encountered. I joined this club for the fun and making friends, but to me the neatest thing was that after every event , there is a feedback form that goes directly to the owner of the clubs because he really cares about our satisfaction wih the club and the events. In today, where most of the time you just get the run around, I think it's super neat that the you have a direct line of communication with the owner. KUDOS.

I just met an incredible man through E &A. The screening proceess takes some time because you do have to go into their office and bring 3 forms of ID, but let me tell you the peace of mind that it gives me is incredible. I have 3 girls and I really cant chance who I am bringing around me or them. I just wanted to thank E & A and recommend it to anyone that will listen because I have met a man through the club that I would have never otherwise met. As it turns out, we live 2 miles from each other. This guy was practically in my back yard and I almost missed out. I was nervous at first to join, not knowing really what to expect, but I did just like the membership rep told me and stayed focused on the activities and meeting him was natural....but the best part was we hung out as friends at several events before as he tells it finally go up the courage to ask me out and boy am I glad he did because I had a crush on him too. This is so awesome, I strongly recommend it to anyone that cares about the quality of people they are meeting.

I am busy professional who doesnt have a lot of free time. I love this place. They have made my search so much easier to find like minded individuals that are not only single, professional but grouped by interest, so i look it sort of like a filtering process that gets rid of the guys/gals that I would not prefer to associate with. Their calender is full of fun events every single day of the week, so all I have to do is sign up, show up and have a great time. It has really streamlined the process in helping me find fun, active singles in my age group!

Pros: Finally people in my age group that are active and single !

I was very nervous about joining anything new because I am really shy and wasnt sure what to expect. Just going into the interview to be screened was nerve racking to me,but I am so glad that I went now because it turned out to be a really comfortable way to meet people. Every event has a host so there is always someone there to make sure that all my questions are answered and make sure that everyone is having a good time and that everything goes off without a problem. Since everything is focused around an activity it takes off that pressure and uncomfortable silence that you normally have through traditional dating. You go to events that you love, skip the ones you don't and everything is very comfortable, and organized. It's a really great way to meet people that are in the same boat!

I moved from Minnesota to Houston last August. I had got divorced and I wanted a new start to my life. I moved to Houston so I would be near my mom. The hardiest thing for me leaving Minnesota was that I was still hanging out with my friends from high school up until I moved down here. I am an extravert and I love being around people, but most importantly the right people for me. I did not want to go to the bar to meet people and I work with a bunch of old married people so it was not easy for me to make friends there that I could hang with all the time. I surfed the net for single clubs in Houston and I came accross Events and Adventures. I went in for an interview with a member who works there. She was very friendly and understanding. I was hesatint to join because I am not one to jump into things. I came to the realization that I need an out to meet people so I decided to jump in and go for it. I had nothing to loose. I have now been a member for 8 months and I love it. I have more friends now then I ever thought I would. These peole are fun and very down to earth. I recommend it to any single people I meet in my everyday life. The cool thing is that this club has awesome people, fun activities, and I can meet guys that have the same interests that I have.

Newly divorced, I have been out of the dating game so long......so I tried the ONLINE thing, what a nightmare>>>>>bunch of married guys or pervs. I am not a bar person. I even tried church, but I couldnt figure out where to meet people in my age group, that are also professional. college educated, and since I have 2 children, I wanted to go into a screened environment. I heard about it on the radio and thought, wow, there is a place where I can make new friends, do things I love doing that I have always wanted to do or try, just not on my own and that also allows me to date at my comfort level and never have a one on one situation where we are alone and I know nothing about them and was depending on them to tell the truth in a profile. It is the things they dont say that worried me. Here I can do fun stuff, make friends, date and vacation. All in ONE place.

(Houston location) I had called this company to inquire about their services and set up an "interview." After this, things seemed fishy so I read reviews and decided I didn't want to waste my time, there are other ways to meet people. Anyways, so I sent an email to cancel, which I guess they never got.

My problem is, now they CALL ME EVERY SINGLE DAY, EVEN ON WEEKENDS!!!!! Always the same girl 'Natasha." She even leaves me the same voicemail every time. "Hi ---- just wanted to see if you were still interested in coming for an interview......" It's been like a month that she has been calling me. Now......I admit I haven't returned the calls, but OH MY GOD, besides being completely insane, could this be considered harassment?????? I would never bother somebody this much! Arrrrgggghh. Am I being unreasonable?

I joined Events and Adventures two years ago, and while I admit to being a little shocked when I saw the price of membership, it was worth every penny. I used to spend my time at home watching tv every night, and now I am never home because I am out having fun and meeting people. I have done so many things I never would have done on my own such as paintball, broomball, and bonfires on the beach. Tonight I am going to a wine pairing at a wine bar, and tomorrow I am going on a day trip the caverns. I have made some great friendships, and it helped me get out of the rut I was in. I definitely recommend it for people who are new to town, need more single friends, or want to meet a quality person in a non-pressure environment. The more often you attend events, the more fun you will have and the more people you will meet.

Pros: Something to do every night, good variety of events, great people, lots of fun

Cons: the cost, sometimes events are sold out if you are not good at registering in advance

I joined last year. before they got so big and I was scared but this club changed my life. I think theree is close to a 1000 now. I am 40 and all my friends are married. The only way I met guys was through dating services online and most of the guys were only looking to get something. My firiends didnt get out much because of the kids and I spent most of my time watching tv or eating out alone. Now my life is exciting. I went horse back riding, roller blading, I attend wine tastings, festables, kayacking, and much more. the best part is that I met someone very special at the club. it is pricey you awill have to spend between 2000-3000 dollars but finding the right person can not be priced. It is all worth it and I have friends I will have for a life time. It has taught me how to get out of my shell
