I love Anthropologie. The store is beautiful. It's a real treat to be able to shop there since the price point is, well, expensive for my budget at this time. So, I expect the service to be in par with the price point, but it's not.

On several occasions, I went into the store and browsed through every single rack looking for a special blouse as a nice treat. Each time I have gone, I have watched the staff wholeheartedly assist the size 2 and 4 patrons, (I'm a size 14 and short) asking to bring their piles of clothes to a changing room and doting on their every move. On more than one occasion, I browsed the entire store and was not once asked if I needed help or needed a changing room started for me - I was totally ignored.

In those instances, fully prepared to spend money in their store, I put the clothes back without trying anything on and left. I left feeling as if I was prejudged.

Pros: Beautiful store, great location

Cons: Staff seems to pre-judge customers

Stopped by to look at all the pretty dresses...didn't realize that I when I walked in I was going to be treated poorly and followed around the store. Maybe it's because when I tried on a dress and asked if anyone else mentioned that the drape of the halter dress was off I was met with an incredulous look. Or that I noticed the staff could all do a remake of "Children of Corn" (a manager was conducting an interview to add yet another blonde woman to the fray), which maybe why my friend and I, both Asian, were trailed by saleswomen with their little walkie-talkies everywhere we went.

Now being in the retail life myself, one of these situations would have irritated me a bit, but the culmination just had me aghast at my experience there and wanting to share it with others.
