Part 2.
We came back to the banya month later to redeem our ??Living social? coupos; we have 5 of them left. Owner in retaliation to review below and refused to let us in, we called the cops, and they confirm that the owner can refuse service to anyone, even if the fee was already paid?..the saga continues, OWNER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, Customer BEWARE!
Part 1. Pros: Steam room (banya), Food. Cons: Service, Facilities, Management. I have been loyal customer since the day this place opened and watched it going down, I think it??s pretty close to hitting the rock bottom. I??m not sure why it??s still in business; there are very few customers left and the hard core loyalist going there for the one and only authentic Russian steam room. Unfortunately there is no competition in the DFW area; Korean Spa is great, but it is different. For $25.00 + tax you used to get a robe, 2 towels and flip flops and use the facility from 10AM to 10PM ? forget about it, for the same price you get one towel and flip flops and be at the owner??s mercy because he may decide to close the place down earlier than official closing time of 10PM any time he feels like it, no apologies, no concessions. Women??s showers do not work properly, you can either scold yourself or freeze to death. Service is marginal at best. It??s such a disappointment, because this place had potential and could??ve been a cultural ambassador for Russian culture, like the King Spa for Korean, instead it??s such a disgrace and it??s not going to get better. So I plead to anyone who is willing to listen ? open another Russian banya here and you going to have plenty of customers and long as you??re not going to do what this establishment does.

This place is a joke!!!!! my sister and i went there today for the first time after getting a deal on groupon. the deal said we could either print out the coupon or they could scan it electronically. when we got there the guys at the front counter said we have to have the printed version. i informed him the deal said we could us the electronic version or the printed. he then got the owner (bald with a long goatee with tattoos on his arms)...who prior to meeting him was an a**. he was walking around on the phone, when one of his employees called out his name and he yelled, "don't you see i'm on the phone!!!!" after getting off the phone he approached us and informed us he would not accept the electronic copy and we would have to go print out the paper version somewhere then he would honor the groupon, if we didn't want to print it out then he would charges us $10.00 (cash) ea and we could use the groupon at another time. we informed him, we got the groupon to see if we would like it and asked what if we didn't like it, he said, "that was our problem not his". i informed him the deal did not state that. i informed him i lived 20 miles away and asked him if we could email the groupon to him, he said, "no" my printer is not working and i need the paper copy, 20 mins is no big deal, i live a hour and a half away". if i decided to go home and print the coupon, i would have wasted 60 minutes just driving back and fourth...what an idiot!!!!!

then the starting saying this was my fault and i was the first to ever complain about not being able to accept the electronic version and i had bad attitude because i didn't have the printed version....this place is the most unprofessional and unethical place i've have ever came across...my theory is if i owned a business and was using groupon to advertise my business to get people in the door...don't run your business half a** and do what you can to make the first impression a great experience, so we will keep coming and tell our friends to come...word of advise: these people are scam artist and try to do things half a** to get your money with poor customer services"

What a disappointment! I went last Saturday for the first time and I'm sure it will be my last. I'm glad I had a coupon and only paid $10.00 instead of the $25 that they normally charge.

If you want to feel like royalty, or just want to somewhere to detox and rest the Russian Banya is the best. Not too foo-foo and just the right amount of pampering.
Very inviting caring family feel, but not too invasive. I felt like I had privacy, but I was never ignored. There are so many great things I do not have the space here to do them justice. I cannot be fair if I don't mention the Staff. Tony helped us, and really went out of his way for a pair of first timers. My only hesitation in writing this is that I liked it so much I want to keep it for myself. Lastly, don't miss the borscht and the spring salad was amazing!

From the outside, it looks like a quiet little restaurant but what a place! The steam rooms and baths are wonderful, the food was great! My son had rice pilaf and I had borscht - both were excellent! $25 gets you unlimited time in the steam rooms and ice bath - Such a great adventure right here in Carrollton!

The Russian Banya of Dallas is a very cool and unique place. It is part day spa with all sorts of different sauna and steam rooms and treatment rooms combined with a full Russian restaurant where it seems very common for them to have it anything from weddings, banquets and parties to normal Russian dinner or takeout. The people are all very nice and definitely well versed in Russian culture and traditions which makes it a fun place for a Texan to go and experience something different. Definitely a hidden treasure in North Dallas.

I love this place. Being the 'clueless American' was even more fun as the Russian folks love to show you the right way to enjoy this day spa. It's not just another day spa in Dallas. They have fantastic food, parties and events like no other in Dallas. The owner is hilarious and very friendly. It's one of those places that once you've gone there a time or two, it feels like home. I believe it's also the only place in Dallas for Russian food. It's also the only place where Russians and Americans collide in a very social and amicable atmosphere. It's never dull on the weekends especially if you are interested in learning about other cultures and learning other languages. I initially started going there to learn Russian and now I'm hooked!

Not sure how the Russian Banya got labeled as a coffeehouse on Citysearch. It has some good coffee but I would label it a couple of different things before calling it a coffee house. I would definitely call it a restaurant and a Spa first.

It is a huge place, it has a full restaurant area that is big enough for and often used for banquets and then it has a whole spa / sauna side that has 4 or 5 different kinds of saunas. They have a good website that describes each of them way better than I could. It is $25 to hang out there at the spa section as long as you want, and a really fun way to spend a lazy afternoon or evening. I think most people and families go there for the spa / sauna side of things but I think the food is the real treasure. The Russian Borsch soup and the Lamb kebabs are both favorites. They do have different coffees and teas, they also have Kvas and Borjomi which are both interesting drinks.

The Russian Banya of Dallas is really a hidden treasure for north Dallas and adds some much needed character to the cookie cutter suburbs. If you are from Russia or just want t a taste of the motherland, this is a good place to go.

This place is different, and that is a good thing. The treatments that I have gotten have been very soothing and enjoyable. I didn't try the food until my second trip and it was sooo good! It's become a favorite.

Good place in both parts...the banya / day spa is a cool place with 3 different kinds of spa/ sauna. Also has a good Russian restaurant. Not many places in the Dallas area where you can get good authentic Russian food. We have been pleased with the service and with the food each time we have gone, and definitely recommend it, it is really a one of a kind place for the Dallas market.
