Mel's is great. They used to serve shaved is along with ice cream, but now they just serve ice cream... BUT - the ice cream is very good. I had coffee with heath bar mixed in and I was not disappointed. It was about $3.89 for the super cup plus $.50 per mix-in. (The special was free mix-in with the super cup - bonus!). They are open until 10 every night.

this place used to be a marble slab...it's still the same concept as marble slab...ice cream is top notch im willing to say it is better then marble slab or coldstone
PROS: better ice cream..great service..price
CONS: older building ..not the prettiest on the inside
