They replaced our roof in 1995, and did a great job. No Complaints.

We called John in July to get a quote. He never called back to look at the job.

Sad.

Avoid this company at all costs if you don't want to wait months and months to get something that was promised by him done and if you don't want him to take off with your money and never answer the phone. Just as the first person has had a horrible experience with him, so have we. The first time he came into our home, he sounded like an honest and kind person who layed out a plan for what would be done on the roof. He was paid up front in July and disappeared until September. Countless calls were made to him and they were either ignored or hung up on. He finally answered in August and when we asked for our money to be refunded to find a different roofer to hire, he laughed in our faces and said "you would say that, well your not getting your money, I will do what I'm paid to do." John Ochoa is a greedy man who is beyond unprofessional and will take your money without earning it. Many conversations I had with him ended with him yelling at me and being disrespectful. He acted as if he was the victim and it was your job to make him happy rather than the other way around. (Aren't we paying you for a service John?) I want to share my experience with other people so that people like him don't continue to take your money and you never hear from them again. He says that he has been in the roofing business for 35 years and is a honest hard-working man but this is not an example of that. Getting your roof repaired is a incredibly huge expense that I hope people research thoroughly before entering into a contract that they regret like we did.

In October 2005, John Ochoa was hired to put a metal roof on our house and was paid $8,863.50 in advance for the purchase of materials. That is the last we saw of John Ochoa. We hired John Ochoa because he was on Owner Builder Network's (through whom we were building our home) "prefered" subcontractors list. Obviously our trust was misplaced. After weeks of trying to contact John Ocha, we were forced to hire another roofing company to install a metal roof on our house. After approximately 10 months of trying to contact John Ochoa, the phone was finally answered and John Ochoa agreed to pay back the money taken in $500 installments.Over the next 2 years, John Ochoa paid back $4000 and then stopped. The last payment made was April 2008. We tried to give John Ochoa every chance to make right on this debt, and now John Ochoa literally laughs at us when we contact him. Anyone who is about to go into a business contract with John Ochoa should be very cautious. If John Ochoa's annual revenue is upwards of 1 million dollars as the internet would have you believe, then how hard can it be to come up with the $4,863.50 still owed to us. And perhaps the worst aspect of our interaction with John Ochoa was how he portrayed himself as a "christian", while deliberately deceiving us. Again, anyone thinking of doing business with John Ochoa, at the very minimum, give John Ochoa NO money until the work is complete and inspected by a professional. I post my experience with John Ochoa in hope that it will save someone else the pain and financial hardship we were forced to endure. Thanks
