What a JOKE! Cavender Audi must have all the business they need. I went to their dealership on Saturday December 8 at 3pm. I took my parents because they are in the market for one, possibly two new vehicles. I am considering an A6 myself. My mom really likes the Q7 and wanted to drive one. My dad is interested in the A5.

Upon arrival, we parked and made our way towards the showroom. We only saw one Q7 on the lot, and it was used. We walked to the far side of the dealership to look at an A5 by the showroom door. We looked around for someone to help us, but there was no one in sight. On a Saturday afternoon. No salesman in sight. Felt like the twilight zone.

We walked into the showroom. Stood by the R8. We were flatly ignored by the receptionist 10 feet away. The only salesman we saw was engaged in conversation with a large breasted woman who I will assume was a customer, although their conversation was about everything but Audi's.

At his point, six minutes in, we had made our decision we would not under any circumstance be buying from this place. We walked out at this point, no one ever having said a word to us.

As we were about to drive out, I thought this is ridiculous. I walked back in and headed towards a small man in khakis sporting a goatee I had noticed earlier. I believe he was the sales manager. He was pacing about on his cell phone. I walked up to him, looked him in the eye and asked, "Are you open?"

"Umm, yes" was his reply. "All my guys are out right now. Let me see if I can find one."

WRONG ANSWER! His ONLY reply should have been, "Hi, I'm so-and-so the sales manager. Sorry for your wait. How may I help you?"

Instead he hurried towards the door. As he headed around the corner towards the service area, he spouted something about having two people call in sick with the flu. "Sounds like a staffing problem" I said. He smirked and said, "Yeah". He then disappeared towards the back, never to be seen again.

I live in Dallas and only went to Cavender because it is the only Audi dealer in San Antonio. My parents will be visiting this weekend, and we will be going to one of the several Audi dealers here. Hoping for a more positive experience, but don't see how it could be worse!

Cavender sells ""Certified"" vehicles which have been wrecked and they seem to be fine with it once the truth has been discovered.\r
\r
Beware of the marketing and other ploys which put you at ease and make you think they are working in your best interest. \r
\r
Do not assume that what you are buying is what you paid for. Our experience, as well as many others, is that they were less than truthful. \r
\r
Our experience is that ""Certified"" means absolutely nothing. Sure, there was an ""inspection"", but one would think the inspection could fine a wreck with almost $3000 in damage - especially when the damage was ""repaired"" at the Cavender body shop.\r
\r
To make matters worse, we spoke to a Cavender family member after several weeks of letters and emails and he was Condesending with his ""explaination"" of how they ""did not know"" and how it was not a big deal. You are waisting your time even when you receive the lip service, if you get to talk to anyone at all.\r
\r
Be very aware and very suspect. Do not trust what you hear and get everything in writing. Ask the hard questions even when you think a ""Certified"" vehicle is above normal.

I have been taking our 2000 A6 to Cavender since we returned from Germany in 2002. Generally speaking the service has been quite good. However, I had it in for the 146,000 mile check and it did not run exactly right when I got it home. I did some checking and the mechanic who reinstalled the aircleaner housing crimped the hose running to the air intake of the engine. Not sure how much grit was ingested until I found this problem, but not what I expect from a dealer who charges as much as Cavender does for service.
I am about to take it in for them to find and fix and oil leak, hope things work out better this time.

I had my vehicle serviced at their new location. I was very disapointed that no one greeted for at least 8-10 minutes. Yes they were assisting other customers but at least acknowledge and let me know you are aware that i am "waiting". The way i was processed and received my car not washed properly I must say I definitly did not feel like an Audi Owner. They need to def have their customer service department re-trained!

My wife and I drove five hours from Midland TX to this specific dealer just for a service on our Audi A4. We needed an oil change, spark plug change, a check engine light reset and a diagnostic for a minor engine problem. I am a mechanic, and discussed my suspicions/concerns about the engine with the representative, and work was done quickly, and at half of the expected cost. \r
\r
What surprised me was the openness and absence of attitude at this dealership. The representative took notes on what I thought was wrong and did not attempt to brush off my opinions as irrelevant (something I have run into at many other places). I got to meet, and speak to the mechanic who actually worked on the car, a rarity these days. He was very professional, and obviously knew the car inside and out. \r
\r
Diagnostics showed that the engine problem was different than I thought, and would be inexpensive to return to top shape. They made no attempt to do work that was unneeded, or unwanted. I really appreciated their honesty. They even washed our car before releasing it. \r
\r
While waiting, Mr. Cavender came out of his office and introduced himself and welcomed us to the Audi family. He was very polite and personal.\r
\r
I am pleased to give this dealership a maximum rating. They performed excellently in all manners. Ive never left a lot feeling better taken care of, even though we basically came in for a minor problem with a car we didnt purchase there. Ill definitely be returning for future work, and probably my next auto. \r
\r
Well done, Cavender!
