I am looking for a dentist for my daughter, after reading the above review, I will not choose this place. The dentist is responsible for the tech and the fact that he didnt even bother to call this woman really bothers me. Maybe he wanted

My son has been a patient here for a couple of years. (Pflugerville location) When they only need a cleaning you tend to go for the convenience of location but this week he actually needed a procedure. For the most part the procedure went fine but during it my son's lip was torn. My son said he managed to get the word ouch out but that Dr G just continued with the procedure without stopping.

An hour after he got home his upper lip was swollen three times the normal size. The following day the lip was still swollen but I sent him to school. By noon he was coming home from school with a fever. At this point my parents had care of my son because I was traveling for work. They said they contacted Dr G's office and he was reluctant to see my son stating it sounded like no big deal. My parents insisted that he be seen again so we could find out if there was an infection. Dr G went straight into defensive mode and was more concerned about putting the fault on my son, saying "This looks like a classic sign of him biting his own lip when it was numb." I saw the injury, it appeared far more like a rip than a bite but that's not really the point. He said it wasn't infected but my mother pressed on saying it just didn't look right. Ultimately he did write a prescription for an antibiotic and sent them on their way.

The next morning my son woke up with his lip even larger, split open, and puss all over his face, mouth, and pillow. But according to Dr G this was not an infection. My dad proceeded to take my son to his pediatrician who of course confirmed it was infected. The truly disturbing part is she explained to my dad that the dosage Dr G wrote was basically for an infant. He simply appeased my parents by giving them a pointless prescription.

I'm pleased to say my son is on the mend now but certainly no thanks to Dr G who was more concerned for himself than my son.

I've been there 3 times with my daughter. First two times went perfectly fine. My daughter had just turned 3 for her second appointment and we just returned about a week ago for her 3rd visit; she's 3 years and 8 months old now. All three visits were for regular check-ups/cleanings. My daughter is very well behaved at the doctor's and dentist's offices and i know some moms think their kid is behaved, but they aren't, but mine really is. I fear that her last experience at this dental office may have just changed that. The x-ray technician was very rough with her, jamming and shoving the film into her mouth and slamming the x-ray machine into her face. My daughter was left with red marks on her face and one turned into a small bruise! No, I didn't go into the parent's area and leave my 3 year old. The x-ray tech was the same woman that called us back and she was very firm about me waiting in the other room while she took my daughter away. I was very polite and declined and she shook her head at me in disagreement as if she knows what's better for my daughter than I do. I can assure you that I was very nice to her, but she either had an off day or she didn't like that I accompanied my daughter. Honestly I don't care what she was going through, she has no business around children if she can't control her emotions and how rough she is with the children. She had taken my daughter's x-rays at her previous appointment and she was not rough, so it was so unexpected. I stood there in shock as I watched what she was doing and when I finally spoke up and told her that she had hurt my daughter's face, she snapped at me and said she had done ""everything right"" (whatever that was supposed to mean!). She wouldn't even look at my daughter's face to assess what she had done and she tried not to look at me as she showed us to the other room for the cleaning. When she was finally gone (because she lingered around probably concerned I would say something) I told the hygienist what had happened. The hygienist told me to go to the kids dental smiles website and submit an online survey detailing what had happened and that it would send an email to the dentist. She said the dentist would then call me the next day. The next day I hadn't heard from the dentist so I called and the office manager spoke to me. She said she had overheard what happened in the x-ray room with us and had already planned on discussing it with the x-ray tech, but that the x-ray tech was not in, so she'd have to talk to her another day. Anyway, the office manager said she would mark our file so that we would be assigned to someone else to take my daughter's x-rays on her next visit. She said she was also going to observe the x-ray tech and coach her as needed. She also said when the dentist was free he was going to call me. The dentist never called me. Whatever... I'm done with that place. It's really too bad that the x-ray tech ruined that place for us. Everyone else was very good at what they did and they were very friendly. But, shame on the dentist for not calling me after knowing what happened and not apologizing for his employee. His employee's actions, good or bad, are his responsibility. When you work around children, they deserve only the best from you every single time. If you don't think you can give them that for some reason, then take the day off or something. That woman had no right to harm my daughter. I feel so bad and stupid for letting her hurt my child.

This filling was like nothing I had ever seen, and repeatly broke the floss when I tried to floss her teath. The dentist said that was nothing to worry about, shortly after that the filling fell out of her tooth. Now I have to have it refilled again, which after insurance is going to be another 150 dollars.. I decided to get a second opinion before I did any more business with Kids dental smiles and I am glad!!!! Another dentist said that the first filling really should not have fallen out if it was done right the first time, and the after insurance price to fix it is only $50.

My daughter enjoys going to this dentist, the atmosphere is very kid friendly. However, the service is very expensive. My daughter needed to have a small cavity filled, which cost me after my insurance 400 dollars. This filling was like nothing I had ever seen, and repeatly broke the floss when I tried to floss her teath. The dentist said that was nothing to worry about, shortly after that the filling fell out of her tooth. Now I have to have it refilled again, which after insurance is going to be another 150 dollars.. Friendly staff - beautiful waiting room - clean facilities - personable dentist - parent-oriented - advanced technology in the office - all in a ll a beautiful experience. My 3 year old went for his first visit and got his tetth X-rayed and cleaned, and the whole time he was smiling and smiling and smiling, and afterwards, he wanted to go back again right then!
