I have a Samsung 56" DLP HDTV that was not turning on properly. I contacted this company to repair my unit and they dispatched a technician to my house that day. After doing an initial assessment on the unit, it was determined that it could not be fixed on the spot.

After discussing my option, we loaded my TV into the back of his van, where he covered the TV with a large heavily padded cover to prevent any scratches and secured the unit to prevent it shifting around. He told me I could expect a call with a diagnosis and estimate within 24hrs (inwardly I wasn't holding my breath).

To my surprise, within 24 hours I received a phone call detailing the issue. I was informed that they had the part and could fix the unit and get it returned to me the next morning. They also quoted an estimate for the repairs. They also informed me that they would deduct the initial house call fee from the total bill.

The next morning they returned my TV, without a scratch and hooked up the unit for me and tested it out to show that the unit was fixed and operational.

After the technician left, I reviewed the bill and saw that the cost of the replacement part was not marked up and was market price. The only thing that doesn't give this review a higher score is that the service fee to do the actual repair seemed a bit excessive (it was more than the cost of the part). They also gave me a 90 day guarantee in the case that the TV acts up again.

Less than 48 hours from pickup to repair to return. Overall a good experience with very little to complain about.

We had a repair guy from this company over to repair our TV and I ended up refusing to pay for the problem because the TV was left with another issue which I felt was being caused by the new parts. When I was in the computer repair industry we called it "installing a problem"

The alignment of the color "guns" had gone out ("Convergence").

After the new parts were installed and before the technician closed the TV up I pointed out that it now had faint-to-moderate static / lines in the entire bottom half of the screen.

He had to have noticed them. They were / are very obvious.

When I pointed this out, however, he said it was another issue and he would have to take the TV "in to the shop" to fix the other issue.

I asked him to prove that one of his parts wasn't really the culprit by putting the old parts back in to see if the lines went away or stayed (I thought this was a reasonable request).

After several refusals, I ended up with the owner on the phone and he was trying to sell me the same story as the technician...That being that one of the new IC's couldn't possibly be causing the signal problem.

I refused to pay, and asked the technician to remove his new parts and put mine back in and I would have someone else do the repair.

The technician left the new (bad) parts in the TV and handed me the old ones. The pins were bent..That is apparently why he refused to put the old parts back in.

Anyways....I'm out no money, but still aggravated at their attempt to play me...And, I thought other potential customers should be warned to keep a wary eye open if they use this company.

I plan to pursue getting the static problem fixed.

If I am wrong, I will post it here for all to see..But, I suspect the opposite will be true.

The first time my HD TV went out in Nov 08, the power supply board needed to be replaced. It was done in a matter of 3 days and returned. Now, Apr 09, the TV was on the fritz again. He picked up the TV, fixed it, and once again returned it in 3 days. Even though it was a completely different problem, he did all of this for FREE. He said I had spent enough last time so this was ON HIM! What a remarkable service in this economy. I don't know what the issues were below, but I have always had a wonderful experience.

I took my tv the be serviced and aarow hd-tv and found it to be a good experiance overall. After paying $39 for an estimate, on the next day I was called with an estimate. The estimate was $385 to have the power supply replaced. Since I paid $1450 for my 42 inch philips lcd tv of course I told them to go ahead with the repair. It took 2 days for the part to come in and they had it in my set on the same day. I am very happy with the service that
I received from hd-tv. Thanks Guys.

This is a horrible company. Do not take your TV there. They will lie, cheat and steal from you. They will swap out parts in your tv and put in one that belongs to someone else. They are not careful about handling your equipment and you are guaranteed to have scratches that you didn't have before. They will charge you more than they agreed too and are always trying to up sell you. If you run into a guy named Effi, run the other way. He will steal you blind.

I contacted HD TV for some assistance with my 52" HD TV. They came out for the assessment and looked at my tv. The technician was not very clear on the next steps other than stating they would need to order the part and I would hear from them in a couple of days. I paid my $69.00 assessment fee and agreed.

I never heard back from them.
I followed up with them in a couple of days and was told the part was probably on order but they would leave a message for the owner to call me back.

I never heard back from them at all.
Two days after that I called to verify the status. I was told they would look into it and call back.
When they called back I was advised that the part I needed for my tv was no longer made and they were unable to rebuild my part or order it new. Unfortunately at this time my tv is no longer repairable. Too bad it took them over a week to advise me of this and all of the follow up done was made by me.

No follow up at all from this shop. Not what I expect as a customer.

Brought in a unit for repair. They spend 2 times as long as they told me to diagnose the problem. Turned out to be too expensive to repair, and was not repaired. I suspect that their diagnosis was correct based on other repair places responses. The thing that really bothered me is that when I picked up the unit, is was scratched up and missing a few screws. It was in perfect physical condition when I dropped it off at their shop.
