*They never returned calls/emails unless it benefited them.

*Because there wasn't a walk through of the home we didn't get information on how to use things, namely an air filter in the attic we didn't know existed because we don't go up in attics. 1 month before we moved out Sara from Birdy sent me an email that said "Remember to change out the air filter, see email from owner below" and below was an email from the home owner stating that because the renters kept forgetting to change out this air filter it had cost him $1700 in repairs. We didn't know an air filter in the attic even existed.

*The home was in bad condition when we moved in--no paint job, empty water softner, weeds, tons of dog poop--all of this was documented on the walk through sheet we faxed them. When we moved out numerous emails/phone calls were exchanged with Melissa Lofton detailing the service providers we were using (people we had been dealing with before, NOT Birdy's recommendations who were $70 more than the normal person). We had a carpet cleaner and 2 maid services come out. We had read reviews of people who said that Birdy would take your whole deposit for stupid things. After the cleaners were done, 5 days before our lease was up, Melissa went to check the house out and let me know that there was "still some dog hair in the master bedroom, a small grease stain under the microwave and 1 baseboard in the 2nd bedroom that had been missed". Not kidding. I told her I would go back and fix those things. I did, called her and told her they were done. I said that I had not finished painting so I needed to go back the next day and she said "Don't worry about painting, I know it was in really bad shape when you got there and I would rather you not do anything with it." She said that the house looked good, we hung up. When the check came a couple weeks later they had charged us $650. $350 for painting and $300 for misc repairs that included 2 lightbulbs being out (which it impossible because I changed all the bulbs myself the day we left), trash cans left out (that were picked up by waste management 2 days before the new tenants moved in) and what looked like more paint issues. Nothing was actually listed, it was just a bunch of pictures.

Also, I specifically requested 3 times to be present at the walk out. I emailed Melissa and Sara twice requesting this and, after receiving no response, I emailed everyone in the entire office asking for someone to please get back to me.
