My contact with Bill Cody & Sons Plumbing dates back to 1971. I was so pleased with Bill Cody because as a teacher he offered to meet me during conference period since I taught at a junior high school nearby. They have served my plumbing

Cody & Sons was recommended to us by a friend after her landscaper used them to move her gas line. We had a sewer blockage on a Sunday - I was surprised when I called that paying them an arm and a leg to come out on sunday wasn't even an option. The answering service said they would give them the message first thing Monday morning. Since we were able to wait I'm so glad we did! They called me early Monday morning and said they could be out between 1 and 2p. They were there on time - professional, knowledgeable and not in the least pushy or sales-y. When I told them I didn't know exactly where my sewer access was, they weren't rude about it, just crawled under the house to figure it out. They cleared the blockage, suggested that if it happened again we consider having them install sewer access points (so it would take them less time to access the line each time, but didn't hard sell it at all), and charged a very reasonable price. When the blockage returned 35 days later, they came out right away, this time with a camera to see exactly what the blockage was when they cleared it (tree roots), and didn't charge for the visit even though it was after their 30-day guarantee. Unfortunately we had to have our 1940s-era clay pipe replaced with pvc, but we were very comfortable with their pricing and the work they did. They had many chances to upsell us or try to talk us into additional repairs and updates, but never did. When we asked if certain other things should be done while they were replacing the sewer line they said that they weren't necessary. It's a family-owned business and they take good care of their customers. I'm not thrilled I had to replace the sewer pipe, but I'm REALLY glad I now have a plumbing company I completely trust and feel comfortable working with and recommending!
