I stopped by Sprinkles because my daughter insisted they were awesome even though the price seemed high for a cupcake. But I have to agree with my daughter, these cupcakes are worth every penny!

So I've heard all the buzz and thought I would give it a try.

I bought 5 (individual) cupcakes for $17.50. What a let down.

GOOD: The packaging was beautiful, I just wish the taste would have matched the nice packaging, BAD: The cup

I love sprinkles cupcakes! They are moist and have a lot of flavor. I tried the black and white. The only con would be the price but I really don't mind paying the $3.25 because they are so good!

This is just what it sounds like, a cupcake shop. You can get individual cupcakes or larger half dozen, dozen orders. They also deliver, however the delivery charges are high. Cupcakea are about 3.50 each. They are delicious and great for a special treat (birthdays, etc.) You can also puchase cupcake mixes ($14) and make them at home. Very unique flavors and frostings. They are always busy, but worth the wait.

Very pricey. Yummy cupcakes though. Love the different flavors one for each day of the week. Great gift idea for sweet lovers. Everyone these days seems to love Sprinkle's.

We came here because we heard that is the biggest craze of the Hollywood stars. Well they must be able to tolerate sweets better than the average person. The cupcakes are pretty good, but only order one because that is about all you can eat. They are very pricey too.

I had heard alot of hype about Sprinkles, but the reviews here had me worried that it might not live up to the expectations -- but my sweet tooth prevailed, and I decided to try it anyways. :P

I have to say, I'm a little confused about complaints about the taste.. they were DELICIOUS.. moist and yummy, with perfect creamy icing - not sickeningly sweet, and not bland either, and ive tasted alot of cupcakes! I ended up getting 6, my sister grabbed 3. The red velvet and cinnamon were to die for, and my sister loved her carrot cupcakes. Even my boyfriend, who rarely eats sweets of any kind happily devoured 3 milk chocolate cupcakes in one sitting. :P I'm actually planning a trip back tommorrow to try out the pb chip cupcake.. as a diehard peanut butter fan, i must. They are a little pricey, but the quality and taste is worth it. They are far above and beyond your average sickeningly sweet grocery store cupcake.

My only real complaint is the service.. the girls behind the counter seemed to have a real attitude.. no smiles, no friendliness, nothing. The girl who took my order seemed to be irritated I was even there and gave off the air that I was wasting her time with my extremely difficult and complex order of 6 cupcakes in 3 flavors, and shooed me away quickly as if i was in her way once she had the order, pretty much barking at me to go sit down and that she'd have it ready "soon". She just overall seemed extremely snooty and rude. Not sure if it was this girl in particular or the whole staff, but I found it rather offputting.

I was a first time customer and was excited to try cupcakes from this place! I went in and the girls behind the counter were friendly and helpful when I asked about the flavors and the store. Everything was very clean and inviting. It smelled wonderful. I ordered 6 cupcakes and very pleasantly surprised because I had read some reviews on here about it and some made it sound just terrible. But it wasn't bad at all. The cupcakes were delicious, the chocolate really had a strong sense of cocoa in it, instead of the normal ones you get that have all that artificial flavoring in it. Red velvet was just amazing and the strawberry was incredible! They have a special right now of Key Lime and it was a great taste of key lime and very fresh tasting. I think that you can taste the difference in the cupcakes from Sprinkles and those from other bakeries that keep their cupcakes in the fridge over night.

After reading some of the reviews again I think that some people are very bitter towards Sprinkles and those people need to calm down. It was a great experience and great cupcakes. On a side note, I asked about the owners after having read the last review and they are from oklahoma - but moved to beverly hills and had nothing to do with cupcakes until one day the wife said she wanted to open up a cupcake shop. They seem like wonderful people from what the girl at the register told me and I think that this place should be tried by all!

Cons: a little pricey, but so worth it... especially if you go to Starbucks, they are similar in pricing

First, let me say I can't believe I waited in line with all the Stepford Wives of Dallas just to eat a dry and completely uninteresting cupcake. The chocolate was ridiculously dry and if I didn't have to deal with an unfriendly airhead girl at the cash register, I would have asked for my money back. And what's the deal with those disgusting circles on the top of the cupcake? The first clue that I shouldn't have put them in my mouth was when I saw a trail of them outside of their store. I'm not even sure if this stuff was food or not. I'm sure I have their disgusting fondants sitting in my stomach for the next three years slowly being broken down over time by my body. I just can't believe people are waiting in line for this garbage -- and it just goes to show you how unsophisticated the pubic truly is that they can read about this junk in a tabloid and then get in line to pay money for it.

I've been reading a lot of blogs today about Sprinkles and it seems the bloom is long gone from this rose. And now I've heard rumors and stories about how awful the owners are, who I heard are from Oklahoma and not Beverly Hills! What's up with that? That says a lot about these people that they have to pretend they're upscale high-class people from Beverly Hills and they're nothing but a couple of hicks trying to be cool. It's actually pretty funny. And now I just added money to their pocket which isn't so funny. Never again. Too many good bakeries in Dallas to fall for this dog and pony show. There's a reason Oprah dropped them from her "favorite things" list and there's a reason their cupcake mix isn't selling at Williams-Sonoma. The reason is because Sprinkles cupcakes simply aren't good.

So I decided to finally try a Sprinkles Cupcake since I was in the shopping center. It wasn't busy at all. But after I tasted a cupcake, I understood why...the cupcake was so dry! I couldn't believe it. I told my coworkers about my visit and they hadn't even heard of Sprinkles. Is Sprinkles having 'internal' issues?? Maybe they are growing too fast, I don't know, but this Dallas store has been here for a while.

Anyway, I'm so disappointed that I was, well, disappointed! Oh well.

Given all the hype about cupcakes these days, I ventured out to Sprinkles in Dallas. The first one I tried was the red velvet cupcake. At first bite, the first thing I noticed was the moistness of the cake which I absolutely loved...but then again some regular store-bought cupcakes are moist too! The frosting was good although I would've preferred a smoother texture since the frosting they had was stiff and similar to fondant (but better tasting). Overall, their cupcakes are just average and at $3.25 each makes you think twice about this affordable luxury.

I was looking for a special treat for my holiday party. I thought I might buy some cupcakes from Sprinkles, so I checked online to see if the "everyday customers" agreed with all the hollywood hype. I found most reviews were fairly negative, but I was very pleasantly surprised at my experience. I found the location easily and the inside was fun and clean. I agree with some of the other posters though, they absolutely need another door. The line of people going in the shop, hindered the people who were trying to leave. I pre-ordered my dozen holiday cupcakes so I did not have to stand in line. While I was there, I decided to order a couple of extra cupcakes so I could do my own "taste test" with another well known local bakery. My extras were the black and white and the red velvet ones. Of the 3 employees I interacted with, I found 2 to be very helpful and one to be borderline rude. The two I spoke with were very pleasant when I was checking out and when I asked for directions to another store. The third seemed very put out when I asked to purchase a ballcap. I checked out quickly and was very excited to try the different flavors.

The cupcakes were so pretty. They really made an impact on my guests. I really must say how great they were. My absolute favorite was the red velvet cupcake (by the way, I did the taste test with another red velvet cupcake from another bakery and Sprinkles was hands down the winner). I have really never tasted anything like it. The icing was wonderful (though I didn't eat it all as it somewhat overpowered the flavor of the cupcake itself) and the cake was moist and delicious. My second favorite was the coconut one. I also took a taste of the black and white and the chocolate one. They were both fine as well, but the other two really knocked my socks off.

I am happy that I took the ride all the way down to Sprinkles and will definitely visit there again.

Cons: Price is on the high side and the shop is tiny.

I visited Sprinkles when it first opened and waiting in the 45 minute line was totally worth it. The cupcake is freaking awesome. Pretty much any flavor you try you are going to love (my favorite is the pumpkin...yum). My co-worker and I have tried many other hyped cupcake stores around the country and we both agree that none of them compare the Sprinkles. So, they are $3.50 a cupcake...you won't be disappointed!

NOT IMPRESSED! I was in Dallas for a few days and couldn't wait to try Sprinkles after hearing all of the hype from the media (news, talk shows and even one of my favorite HBO series, Entourage). Upon entry, I was surprised to see the place sooo FILTHY! Do they ever get the high school girls to come out from behind the bar to wipe anything down?
After ordering $88 worth of cupcakes (two dozen mixed and four for the road trip back home); I was confident I had just purchased something so perfect, they were going to knock the socks right off of my feet. WRONG!
The first bite was like biting into a ball of bitter sweet yarn that just grew and grew in my mouth. I truly believe there is bisquick in the batter. The chocolate was bitter, the vanilla was flat, and the cake was dry and ghastly. Needless to say, I couldn't eat one whole cupcake and I felt nauseous after trying to swallow the growing goo.
I am glad that I finally had the opportunity to taste the famous "Sprinkles" cupcakes but I am not happy that I spent my money and hopes on "pure, Hollywood Fluff"!
GROSS!

I tried Sprinkles right when they opened, and I was not that impressed. They did not taste bad, but they were not the best cupcake I have ever had. If you want to try a cupcake I suggest getting the Red Velvet. That was by far a better cupcake than the others. I am glad I tried them, but the next time I am craving sweets I will be heading to another bakery.

I wanted some for Mother's day. What a disappointment. It goes to show what marketing can do for a business. None of the flavors were good, and the icing was worse.

These cupcakes are insane! My favorite so far is the carrot and ginger lemon. You can tell their not made with artificial ingredients and always super fresh. The dark chocolate is a little too bittersweet for me but the vanilla cake is so moist and has an intense vanilla flavor. They are a treat and totally worth less than what I would normally pay for a cup of coffee.

I waited in line for 20 minutes to receive unfriendly service once inside. Served a cold, acidic cup of coffee after discovering that they were out of milk. Three of my four cupcakes were overcooked and extremely dry. Very disappointed after all of the hype, this place is a mess.

I ordered two cupcakes and spent my $6.50 to see what the fuss was (even though I had read on the California citysearch that the cupcakes were mediocre at best and over-rated! Well, my expectations were fulfilled. When I first enetered the bakery I thought the cupcakes looked bigger than I thought. Little did I know they are 50% frosting. The cakes is also extremely dry and tasted like sandpaper. Save your money.
