A backwards hat... Really?

My friends and are always looking for a good place up north with a good happy hour. We go there and are enjoying their happy hour specials and we have an appetizer which was pretty good. We had been hanging

I recently visited Spa Reveil in the Domain, and had a very relaxing experience. The atmosphere and background music is so soothing, you can forget the outside world. Ann gave me a pedicure and fabulous massage for my feet and legs. The water they serve has a hint of refreshing cucumber. I would highly recommend Ann and Spa Reveil for a manicure/pedicure massage. I hear they also give facials. Think I will try that next time.

Pros: Relaxing, Pampering, Nice and Professional Employees

.

I just had my first spa pedicure at Spa Reveil on Thursday and it was worth writing a review for. Anna, the nail technician, took her time to make sure I felt truly pampered, and I don't think I have ever had a polish job that looks so smooth. From the ice cold cucumber water to the mint exfoliating scrub followed by hot towel treatment, I really felt like a queen. I highly recommend this spa, and Anna for a truly indulgent pedicure!

I visited Spa Reveil for a second time and highly recommend it for manicure/pedicure services. I requested the same technician I had the first visit due to her professionalism and exceptional service and care. Not only is she knowledgeable, it is obvious that she truly cares about providing a positive and beneficial service for clients of the spa.

From the moment I walked into the spa I was pleased by the great smell and very cheerful staff. I was offered a drink right away that included tea, coffee, and water. The manicure and pedicure was wonderful! The technician that worked on me had already made a hot cup of tea waiting for me as I entered the room, I felt very welcomed. The level of professionalism the technician held was very impressive as is she was very well spoken, eye contact was made, and she seemed to care about the conversations I had with her. I must say I was very impressed with my technician, she had spoke about school, work, and short-term and long-term goals she plans to achieve to benefit her children. Overall I am delighted with my experience.

I recently had the Morrocan Bath at Spa Reveil. I had no idea what to expect. I wasn't sure if this is the kind of thing you do in a swim suit or in the buff. Well, answer is...in the buff. However, every step a long the way are done to make sure no one ever really sees you completely in the buff, including your therapist. Susan Deebert, LMT, performed my service and she was so warm and welcoming, I never felt embarrassed or weird about getting this luxurious treatment. The room is specially designed just for this service which includes full-body exfoliation with a coffee scrub followed a cleansing vichy rinse. The service is finished off with a warm body cream and a scalp massage. You'll want to clear your calendar cause you'll need a nap after this one. You'll be sooooo relaxed!

I'm a pretty regular spa-goer (especially for a man) -- my guilty pleasure in life is getting regular massages. I'm also one of those people that's always willing to try the new place even though I have my favorites.

Milk + Honey has always been a favorite (if by "always" I mean since the 2nd Street District location opened). Spa Reveil is a very similar feel to the downtown M+H location (I haven't been to the Galleria), only conveniently located for those of you that may live in North Austin (which is seriously lacking in good spas).

Spa Reveil is gorgeous. It's biggest upsides are free use of the steam room in each locker room and nice, big showers to take a few minutes in. It's nice to be able to steam for a few minutes before a treatment just to get your body centered and relaxed. The whole treatment is better at that point. There's a beautiful waiting area once you get your robe on with large chaise lounges separated by screens -- very private even though you could be in a room with a few other people waiting.

Oh, and the massage -- there is that. Again, I've had hundreds of massages in my day and Melissa was in the top 3 or 4. I'm a tough person to work on because I have an incredibly tight musculature, but Melissa took it in stride and I felt more rejuvenated after this particular massage than I have after 95% of the massages I've had.

It's not fair to rank one spa over another, but I'll say that if you love Milk + Honey, Spa Reveil will give you a very similar experience. It's an urban feel (which for me I list as a "con" but that's the sort of the point of an urban day spa), lots of clean lines, great service and great services.

This spa has an affordable and wide range of services. If you ever get a spa lunch the food and the setup is excellent. The lady who did my facial did a great job, I got several compliments when I got back to work and nobody even knew I had gone to the spa!

This place rivals Lake Austin Spa! (True, it doesn't have the grounds, the pool, the overnight accommodations or the restaurant. But for day spa treatments, look no further.)

I won a gift certificate for a Moroccan Bath Treatment, and really had no idea what to expect.

The place is gorgeous, with their signature design elements incorporated into the facility, the website, the marketing materials. Really beautifully done! All little details are fantastically presented, from the tile work to the towels.

Adrianna, the receptionist, was accommodating and patient. Kristie, the message therapist, was warm, friendly, professional and approachable. Really top notch, IMO.

The Moroccan Bath Tradition treatment was AMAZING. I had no idea what this was going to be, and I was really impressed. The room is warm and comfortable. Laying on a massage table draped with a foil blanket, in a tiled room, the Lime Body Wash was applied with a washcloth in a circular motion. My favorite part was the gritty coffee exfoliation that followed. Kristie goes the extra step and applies it with a light pressure massage, paying special attention to heels, knees, hands and elbows. It was wonderful! The vichy shower is basically a long pipe with 6 rotating shower heads. (The pipe is waved over you, and the showers heads are adjusted to rinse off all the soaps and creams. The temperature was perfect!) Flip over, and repeat.

Next, Kristie asked me to dry off, and then had me sit out of the way, while she pulled all the wet stuff of the massage table, and uncovered dry sheets and towels. After returning to the table, Kristie applied a light moisturizer (which smells delicious). This wasn't just a covering of lotion - it was a full body massage, with great pressure! Kristie is my new favorite!

Lastly, the treatment ended with a relaxing and yet invigorating scalp massage, which was the icing on the cake.

After regaining my senses, Kristie walked me back to the lounge, and offered me a glass of water with lemon. Then I retreated back to the steam room for another 10 minute steam, before leaving on a cloud.

WARNING: This treatment is not for the shy. (It occurs in the buff, although every discretion is implemented.) This treatment is not for the ticklish. (The water jets kinda tickle.)

I had to do it - I booked a hydrotherapy bath for the end of the month. I just have to check out that fancy tub! Oh, and I need to make sure I ask for Kristie.

From the moment you step into Spa Reveil, you can feel the soothing energy. The staff are wonderful, and kind. We had the couples massage, and it was everything and more that you would want out of a couples massage at price you can't beat. Spa Reveil is the perfect mini-vacation for yourself or with that special someone. I also love that I can spend the whole day at the spa pampering myself. Thanks Spa Reveil!

If you are looking for a wonderful spa you found it! Kim, Katie and everyone at Spa Reveil will make you feel welcome, relaxed and special. From my very first phone call to Kim to plan an office spa party to our final goodbyes when our special day was over, I happily give my highest recommendation. Give them a call, you will be very happy that you did!
