Wish I had taken the negative reviews seriously. I don't think they are by competitors or imposters. After a year in this school I find them totally true ( the negative comments). The school is only for the kids who already know the basics and with some help can be advertised as "skipped grade" "got into GT" . For the rest of the kids it is only a daycare nothing more. Run like a business and not a place of education.

Great school. My daughter's teacher is great. She has learned so much while attending this school that I am constantly amazed. Prior to attending SCMS, she was enrolled in a daycare program and I was less than impressed with her academic progress (daycare's fault, not her's). This school is relatively new (I think its 4 years old) and clean. I have heard some of the teachers do not even live in the Katy area and make quite a drive each day to teach there. Wow. I personally recommended it to my friends - although I heard there is a long wait list :(.
I did not know about it right away, because it is kinda hidden inside Seven Meadows, but personally I'm happy I found this "diamond" in the rough. More importantly, it is the best place I could find in the Katy area for her, and we toured at least 5 other places!

We recently pulled our kids out of this place and enrolled them at another school in the Cinco Ranch area.I am disappointed by the staff and management of the school on many aspects. I used to recommend it in the past but its gone downhill.

After being unbelievably persuaded by the Director on the fabulousness of the school, I feel the need to voice our true experience. The staff is friendly, however, the curriculum will not prepare your child adequately for kindergarten. Please don't make the mistake other parents are warning of here in the reviews. Great daycare for toddlers but nothing more education wise. Truly disappointed that we discovered our mistake way too late. I am only writing a review that I wish I had read before enrolling our child.

I want to say first, that I am a first grade teacher with many years of experience in public and private schools. My daughter went to SCMS for two years in PP3. She had a wonderful teacher, Ms. Sandy Jackson. SCMS provided everything that she needed, and more. She learned so much and was more than prepared for public school kindergarten. She had mastered all of her kindergarten objectives before she started. But, most importantly, SCMS and her wonderful teacher built her confidence and self esteem. When she entered, she was so shy she barely spoke. Now, she sings and dances on stage, is loves to be a leader of groups of children. She also qualified for the gifted and talented program in kindergarten. She will be in first grade this fall and loves school.

My child has been going to pp3 class for 2 years now and now will be in 1 grade this year. He was selected in the G.T.program or bonnie holland. We are ARE VERY HAPPY AND PROUD OF HIM IT IS ALL BECAUSE OF THE SCHOOL, we both are working parents and spend a lot of time at work we wish we could give more time to our children but now it feels good that we don't have to worry about their education. WE COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY FROM THE SCHOOL. THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF.

This is in response to the poster who represents himself/herself as "Erica J." I work at SCMS and checked enrollment records and we have no parent with that first name/last initial combination.

Based upon communication with parents of students who attended our Kindergarten program, we have been informed that not only do many of our past students go on to do extremely well in the future schools they attend, most students that went through our Kindergarten program have actually been accepted to Katy ISD's "Gifted and Talented" program. We invite any prospective parent to contact the school for more information and to receive references to actual parents of students who have attended our Kindergarten program.

Thank you.

My daughter has been going to this school for 1.5 years and I'm very disappointed. I'm pulling her out as soon as I find another place. I have spoken with other kids parents that are now in elementary or kindergarten that were in sugar creek and they said their kids were lacking preparation when entering kindergarten or elementary. Oh and DO NOT make the mistake of sending your kids to this school instead of public kindergarten they will be really unprepared for first grade.

My daughter has been going to Sugar Creek since she was 1 year old, she is now 3 and can read three letter words. Its has been such a delight to see her grow and I owe it to the school. Both my husband and I are very happy with the school, the staff is great and very loving. Soon our second daughter will be starting Sugar Creek :) .

My child has been attending this school since they opened. I am in touch with a number of other parents of the school via email and outside activities. I have NEVER heard anyone say that management is rude, or that children with special needs are not treated with respect. I think Annie B and M.C. have an axe to grind. Another school perhaps? Insider-pages needs to be more responsible in verifying the background of these anonymous posters. I am very pleased with the school.

Some of the teachers are great but the majority of the others and especially the management are completely rude and totally unorganized. If your child does not fit within what they believe is how a child is to be then they are an outcast and are treated that way. They can do no right and you hear about it all the time. They like to have a classroom of robots, anyone with a different personality or leadership tendancies is frowned upon.

I pulled my kids after too many times of frustrating results. In addition: the school he is currently attending (which is not Montessori) he has learned more in 4 months than he did at Sugar Creek in a year.

My child recently switched to another location (due to hubby's job transfer), but we really enjoyed it here. Great academic programs, beautiful school, and warm atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Very unfriendly atmosphere! Kids are forced to finish their tasks. Very improperly designed curriculum. Teachers have little or no experience handling kids. I would never put my kids there again!

Highly Satisfied the way they responded to few of my concerns...The explanation and the time they took to address my concern was simply great. The teacher had even given me her contact information to inform her of any concern / issues if I come across any in future, so that it will be taken care of immdly
