I've been a student of Master Mike Johnson for 3 years now, and I feel much more confident that I could defend myself if the situation ever arose. He has the experience and knowledge to teach anyone at any skill level or age.

Not only does he teach taekwondo, he teaches safety awareness, beginners classes, advanced classes, weapons classes, women's seminars, kids classes, aerobic tkd, boxing, and even grappling.

Also, I've never seen any taekwondo instructor work the way he does with kids. He can really get the point across to the little ones, and communicate to the parents what needs to be worked on for their child's success.

Unlike other schools, Master Mike Johnson teaches most of the classes. I went to a couple of other shady taekwondo schools before; they would let just anyone teach their classes, regardless of experience. Not so at TBBA. You have to earn the title 'instructor'.

This is hands down the best tkd school in the area. I think he does a 'first week free' for people who are just wanting to try it out.

Pros: flexible class schedule, friendly people

Cons: you WILL sweat, which is only a con when you get some in your eye..lol
