Hancock Fabrics

I love the fabrics and notions. They are always very friendly and helpful. The store has been remodeled and looks brighter and more open. They now can carry more fabric; it is wonderful.
One small correction, the store is on Town East and Town Centre.

I went to Hancock's looking to purchase material for my son's class (I was informed that the material was on sale there); therefore, I needed multiple pieces of fabric so that each student would have his/her own. The first clerk nicely said that her supervisor does not let them cut multiple pieces of fabric so we would need to talk to her. The supervisor (who is supposed to be the store's leader in customer service) walks over and rudely projects loudly that she will not do my job for me. Wow, what a shock!! I was actually here to purchase a service and as far as I knew, I had just left from my "job" as she put it. I tried to explain to her that I am not a seamstress (even though I don't believe that should matter if someone is paying for a service and in a fabric store part of the job description should include cutting fabric) and this was actually for a group of young students. For whatever reason, she felt this strengthened her case that she would be doing my job for me and replied "well see, we are not going to do your job for you." At this point, I left the store and went somewhere else.

Tips: Shop here if you don't mind lousy customer service. If you risk it, you may leave feeling like someone spat in your face!
