Horrible company to do business with. Had these guys out 4 times in 3 weeks to 3 different houses and got ripped every time.

1. My house-outside line was frosting up so we called to get service. THey came in and said it needed $300 start kit and 7 pounds of freon. The compressor is only 4 years old, but ok, I went with the freon since the part was "just to assist it". Then it stopped cooling again after they left. They came out again and this time, well it was the fan motor. Over $1000 later, the unit was still not working. A friend of the family that used to be in the AC business looked at the unit and told me that it only holds 7,6 pounds of freon from the factory to it was pretty impossible to be 7 pounds low!

2. Next house--they said it needed the same part that my unit needed to help it and this time we did it. It blew out the main fuse box the day after we had it installed and we called another company that came out, reinstalled the part and an electrician that replaced the fuse box.

3. Third home was supposed to be a "service" to the A/C unit. They said it needed the same starter part and a new capacitor--over $300 for the part it needed and servicing but they never even went into the attic unit to blow out the drain lines and service the coils. Then when they were called bak about it, they said that drain lines were not warranteed and it would cost an additional $80 to come service the drainlines again (again!?)

Please, since then we've had another A/C guy out that said he had been to 4 other houses that were all told the same thing as em...needs FREON and it wasn't even the fix for the problem. How do businesses like this keep going?

This is for the Absolute Comfort located 16840 Clay Road, Houston, TX 77084-4226... They also do a lot of advertising on the back of the neighborhood magazines (published by Krenek).
