I don't think I've ever had such a painless experience getting a car repaired; including from the "family" mechanic. The transmission doesn't feel any different from when I first bought my car. When Jeff told me the car was ready for pick up I couldn't believe it. They had me back on the road way sooner than I ever thought possible for this type of work. The Customer Service was outstanding and I like they way they talked to me straight and honest. Thanks for the great service. You have an outstanding shop and should be very proud. Thanks again!

I would like to take a moment to review A Best Transmission in San Antonio, TX. I have to say that I have never had a transmission rebuilt and did not know what to expect. It was really a very painless experience. Of course, I did not know that my transmission was going out, and it really caught me off guard. All I could think of when it went out was those commercials that talk about transmissions costing $3500.00. I got on google from my cell phone and searched transmission shops in San Antonio. I got several listings, including A Best Transmission. I was surprised at how polite and non-pressing they were when I called. The guy on the phone was very calming and reassuring. After explaining the repair process to me, they sent over a tow truck promptly. Once my car was at the shop they called me to let me know that they had started the diagnostic process. After a few hours, I got the call with all of the details from the diagnostic service. I could only wish that my doctor explained things as well. Not only were things clearly explained, he made me laugh and took the time to make sure that I really knew what they were telling me. They called me several times a day during the repair process keeping me informed on what was going on and what to expect. I never felt disappointed. I feel like I received exceptional value and quality, and they guaranteed the repair nationwide for 3 years. My Sable is running well and I have tons of confidence in it. Jeff even called me a few days after picking it up just to make certain that everything was going well and that I was satisfied. I took it back in for the two week check up, and everything was perfect!! I hope that I can recommend A Best to someone soon. They totally made me feel good about my choice for automatic transmission repair.

I give these people 5 stars, everyone in the shop were very friendly and help full. Roland, Brandon, Albert,and tony all were very helpful with me and even let me see the part before they installed them Albert, even let me see the break down and the rebuild of my transmission. Great job guys!!

I have known Tony Perez for years. He has built two other transmissions for me in the past and now on my 99 Chevy Truck. He has always been fair with me and does great work. Tony is a family man who treats his customers right. I recommend Tony to all my family and friends. Thanks Tony. God Bless.

I have a 97 jeep wrangler that broke down on me. Woried that I was in for a ride with local repair shops, I started hunting. I noticed the reviews online and decided to call. Jeff offered to pick up the jeep and diagnose the problem. I new it was needing to repaired so I said ok come get it. That was on a Monday morning. After agreeing to let them pull the transmission and transfer case. They tore it down and determined that it was my transfer case that failed. Also I had recently put a clutch in the vehicle or so I thought... Jeff informed me that it was not new, and was worn to 30% already ("Rats" the other guys got me!!!) anyway, the repairs were made perfectly, Jeff saved the old parts to show me what failed. They even offer a coupon on their website, so use it. I would recomend their service if you are looking for an honest repair shop.

What can I say I read the reviews on-line like what I saw and I called talked to Jeff told him my situation being self employed and my truck is my money maker and he helped get me financed and kept my Business running smoothly. Everyone at A-Best Transmissions were helpful.
I just wanted to say to A-Best Transmission. "THANK YOU" for taking care of my Truck. God Has Blessed with a Great Business and now I know why you guys come highly recommended and get great reviews on-line.

I have a student @ St. Marys University who had issues with another fine product from Chrysler which was a Dodge Magnum with a common problem with the "Shift Interlock" which has been considered be a "Design Flaw" that Chrysler will not fix. The shift interlock is made out of plastic which has a hook that breaks which holds a spring to re-tract the gate from the shifter base so that the car is now stuck in park. I was going to have to fly to San Antonio from Arizona to fix this since I did find the fix on many who came before me, but chose to find a shop. I shared my information with Jeff to which they were very receptive to. My daughter called to set appointment for today and was out of there in an hour and 1/2. My daughter was very impressed with there service and would go back again. I just wanted to say to A-Best Transmission. "THANK YOU" for taking care of my baby. God Has Blessed with a Great Business and now I know why you folks came highly recommended....Dan

A-Best Transmission is the best transmission shop in San Antonio Tx. A-Best fixed my Ford Taures transmission at a price that was very good and fixed it fast. Nothing beats a good priced Transmission with a good warranty.

Ever had a transmission problem with almost no money to spend?
I have - and it was terrible. I was terrified that I would be stuck on the bus. Who wants to rely on the bus with kids and places to go and things to do.
I searched the internet and found A-Best after having talked to the national franchise people... and they are less than helpful on the phone. Anyways, I talked to a lady at A Best and felt assured that they were capable of taking care of my issues and not breaking the bank.
They did just that, A Best fixed my car stayed well within my budget and repaired my transmission really quickly. I was totally impressed.
Sandy called me every step of the way, the price never changed AND they gave me a better warranty than the franchise company offered.
My hat is off the them. My Taurus drives great AND I feel even better now because I have a great warranty to boot.

I recently had a transmission failure on my Mercedes. The dealer wanted an enormous amount of money to perform a transmission replacement. The dealer had even told me that there was no fixing the transmission that the only solution was a transmission replacement - Mercedes transmissions are not rebuildable and that they are never the same.
I called A Best Transmission and was assured that not only could they repair my transmission but that they could back it with a nationwide warranty. I took my car to them, and less a week later, I had my car back on the road and less than 50% of what the dealer wanted to charge me for the repairs.
Excellent workmanship and a great cost.

My 99 Chevy Suburban was giving me problems so I searched for transmissions in San Antonio on the internet and there popped up A-Best Transmission when I called they were very knowledgable and made me feel good about leaving my SUV there they did the job fast and quoted me a reasonable price and my SUV is runnig like a stalloin.

I took my F150 into A-Best Transmission I was very happy the way I was greeted from the very start I felt very comfortable leaving my truck in their hands they did a great job at a great price I really would recommend A-Best Transmission to eveyone.
