We purchased an 8' wooden fence back in 2004 with metal poles. We were happy with the work done, and the price was very reasonable. BUT before a year had lapsed, there was a high wind and bent the fence, poles came loose.(no other fence in the neighborhood was affected). The problem we feel was the metal fence poles were not buried deep enough or there were not enough poles used- using only pre-exiting 6' fence holes instead of digging deeper for 8' fence or use more poles. We called several times and left messages which were never returned.

This company (two brothers) didn't carry through on anything they promised. Showed up on time to do the proposal, a day late to sign the "contract" and then never called and didn't show up for our start date three weeks later (after charging the 50% to my credit card on day 1). The second date we set they didn't show up or call eithere. No utility call in and didn't obtain the proper permits from the city. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. When they did show up they cut off our old posts in the ground - not what we agreed to do which was to pull them up. They only dug theiron posts 11 inches in the ground and didn't use enough concrete for that even and thendidn't use water for the concrete-I had to call them back. We fired them. I have disputed the charge with our credit card company. DON"T PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS AGONY. I gave them numerous chances to fulfill the contract and they didn't do one thing promised.

Pros: Cheap price

Cons: No communication, Service and no follow-through at all

The price quote was competitive and the company seemed competent. Generally the fence they constructed is of good quality. My complaint lies in their complete inability to answer or return phone calls. Once our fence was completed we noticed a few minor issues and one major issue with a gate. I was told on multiple occasions that the repairs would be made on such and such day. After that day had passed, I was forced to call and inquire as to why no one showed up. This happened on at least ten occasions. My calls were screened as verified by the fact that the only time anyone would answer was when I called from my Austin based cell phone. Over a period of several months not one of my phone calls was returned. When the crew did finally show up to complete the repairs, they only completed half of them and we started the whole cycle of calls and unreturned messages over. The owner blatantly lied to both me and my wife in stating that they would be returning to complete the project that they had been paid in advance for. To date, no one from Mr. Fence has ever returned to complete my fence. Amusingly, after losing patience, I went outside with a hammer and nails and was able to complete the repairs far more successfully than these alleged professionals. I was upsold on pre-dipped boards with the promise of a seven year warranty. What a joke! This company clearly has no intention of honoring any warranty and has clearly opened themselves up to liability under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. I hope this review saves others from handing over ~$9,000 to a company that clearly does not understand how to do business and instead seems intent on fleecing its customers. Do yourself a favor and hire anyone else.

Pros: They did not steal anything

Cons: They sold me a worthless warranty
