I love this place because not only do they have a ton of beer, but they have my personal favorite Estrella, which I have only been able to find at Central Market.

Great place to go and grab a pint while you watch the ballgame. It is smoker friendly so if you are bothered by smoke this place might not be for you. I don't smoke but it doesn't bother me. The name draught emporium defintely lives up to its name, the beer list is quite extensive and they have different beers every month and you can get pretty much any type of beer you can think of. The wait staff is great and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beer and Brats, Beer and Chips and Queso, Beer and Pretzels...The best and most extensive beer selection you will find in the Dallas area with beer knowledgeable staff! Don't know what to try, just ask!

This is a true beer drinkers paradise. The selection of beer choices from around the world is amazing. Perfect place to meet some friends and talk over some great brew. You won't have an issue finding something to drink.

The beer selection is AMAZING! Servers in short skirts and knee socks are very helpful with selection and are usually very attentive. Food is mediocre, but what do you expect from a bar/pub? Popcorn is free so ask for it. Don't order the Queso unless you like Velveeta - not the melted kind.

If you like beer this is the place for you. It's a great place to meet up with a group of folks and enjoy the atmosphere. It can get really loud in there, but that's part of the wonder of it all. They have a huge selection of beer, so you can't go wrong. The food is ok, but go for the beer.

This is a great spot to come for beer. They have an amazing selection. We asked the bartender and he was very helpful. After a few beer I got lost on trying to remember what beer was what, so I stayed with the only one I remembered for sure.

I usually don't write reviews, but when I saw the two negative reviews below, I thought I should.

I know nothing about any driver's license scams, but as a recent import to Dallas from Philadelphia, I can tell you that the Flying Saucer is the best place I have found to drink 'good' beer. I realize that Dallas has not jumped on the micro brew/import wave the way much of the rest of the country has, but after going to a number of bars/clubs that only have macrobrew (Coors/Bud/Mich/etc.) swill and Shiner...I came across this one place that is an oasis in an otherwise beer deficient city. I've been there 6 times, and the service was always good. There are about 200 beers available, and the selection changes a bit here and there including seasonals. Happy hour specials are great. Check their website, but I go on Fridays, and it's a tall beer for the price of a pint. Good deal.
I would not recommend the food by the way, but you don't go here for food, you go here for good beer.
Cheers!

On nights when a Live Band plays here, the Flying Saucer charges a $3 cover at the door. If you do not carry cash (like me), you can leave your drivers license with the doorman and charge the $3 on your tab. DO NOT GIVE THE DOORMAN YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE!

I have been to the Flying Saucer twice this year, and the doorman has "lost" my friend's DL both times. This past Saturday, I know two people who had their drivers license stolen at the front door. How can ID's disappear when they are given to a doorman and stuck in his pocket? Be aware that this restaurant is either monumentally incompetent, or they have a SCAM going on at the front door where they are selling ID?s.

I've driven past this bar for a number of years until last Saturday when I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Well, I wasn't particularly impressed. It takes more than a 100 different types of beer to impress me. The atmosphere sucked. The patrons were cold, aloof and unfriendly. The barmaid didn't even look good through my beer goggles. There were maybe three girls and a hundred guys. I thought I had maybe strayed into an all **male** establishment. Sure it looks cool, nice decor, giant wall of beer etc. but man it just wasn't any fun. I left early. And the UFO "club" is a joke, it should at least give you a discount on beer, but no . . . you get a stupid shirt I woundl't give away and a card that will tell you which beers to try so you can imbibe them all. Well fruity tootie toot ... you can try them all, I like what I like and I don't need 200 choices.

I remembered the Flying Saucer from when I was in grad school in Nashville-- the Addison location brought back a lot of great memories. Fantastic beer selection, good atmosphere. We usually bring a group, and we have a great time!

I have visited this location several times now when traveling.

I am a huge fan of the Flying Saucer chain and I have been to many of it?s locations.

My primary spot is Houston, but San Antonio, Dallas and Fort Worth are also great locations. I hope to visit others.

A friend of mine living in Nashville, thinks that location is excellent too, I will have to visit one day.

What can I say? Of all the beer pubs and emporiums I have visited I have to say that the Saucer is the best of the best because of the breadth of variety they have. They truly give you a sampling of what is available from around the world. They really beat out the other notables like San Diego?s Yard House which has a great selection of California micro brew?s but is rather weak in global selection.

The saucer has great service and personal treatment for regulars, we still have great people at the Houston saucer like Jake, Javi and Adam to take care of us. Over the years many of our favorites have moved on but are not forgotten.

Anyway ? If you like beer, then you have to visit a Saucer if you have the chance. So far each one has it?s own character and uniqueness to atmosphere and clientele, but the core remains through out.

Pros: Beer, Beer, more Beer

Cons: none, none, no Sugar Land Location
