I had a chance to get out and relax a bit with some friends during a fundraiser in the area, and we were recommended to try Cedar Crest. Great experience! Nice, old style course with friendly and professional staff. Glad we chose to take the advice!

Nice old course. I believe it was the home of the 1927 PGA championship. DA Weibring came in and updated the original Tillinghast design and did a nice job with it. Worth a play. Very fairly priced course, don't let the neighborhood scare you off.

You have to go through some rough neighborhoods to get to this gem, but to play this course in the fall is absolutely a divine experience. The rolling terrain and fall colors are just beautiful. Hole #1 at one time was a Par 6 for the women -- the course was home of the Dallas Open in 1927 and the PGA championship. Driving up to the beautiful clubhouse makes you forget it's a public course.
