These "company" is a fraud! They will steal your money, pretend to set up an auto-draft from your bank account for monthly payments and the. Won't draft them. Leaving you with overages and unpaid insurance bills. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH

I had to leave several messages and finally received a letter stating that I was not returning their calls. It was a total lie! When I finally did speak to her, she was unprofessional and disrespectful. This is the worst company I have ever worked with. I was hit by someone insured by this company and it has been like pulling teeth to get anyone to assist me. The adjuster (Vickie Pike) will not return my phone calls (her voice mail states she will return calls within 24 hrs), causing me to call her several times a day. I was never even initially called after I filed a claim and was told the adjuster assigned to me would contact me in 24-48 hours. In one instance I had to call the main claim line and wait on hold for 15 minutes just to get someone to transfer me to her office (which I had already called and did not receive an answer. She said because there were no witnesses that they could not determine fault. I asked her what my next step was bc I knew the other driver was at fault. She said there was nothing they could do. I asked her if they could look at the damages to determine fault (he hit the BACK of my car), and she said yes (but did not offer this as an option). She even started yelling at me on the phone when I asked her why they couldn't determine fault since I was hit on the back end of my vehicle. I think I am going to just file with my insurance and have them go through subrogation to retrieve repair funds. I am so irritated that she is so rude an unprofessional. I do not recommend this insurance company.

Their insured "apparently" will not contact them to take a statement and I have the wrong phone number from the driver...hmmm

Nicole Mendoza being my assigned adjuster proved Empower insurance to be a very unreliable and unprofessional business group. First of all she called me only once and told me to fax some documents. I did so not knowing that she would be asking for documents one at a time as if she doesnt know exactly what's needed at a first glance. She never communicated back when she received anything, she never responded to voice mails and her phone line was never picked up. The only way i could get a hold of her was to call customer service and ask them not to transfer me to her extension but PUT HER ON THE PHONE!. still she acted like she was always on the right side and exchanged words over the phone.

My claim took over a month just to get everything lined up. I was not willing to get a car rental because in my mind i knew it would be hell to even get refunded as she told me it's only under reimbursement.

I DON'T THINK I CAN RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS COMPANY AND I AM DEFINITELY GETTING ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY WHEN MY CHAOS ARE OVER.

My claim began with your adjusters December 21. I hit a deer so it was a small comprehensive class of less than 4000.00. I waited to the 10th of January to take my truck to the shop to be repaired due to financial concerns since we just moved to OKC from South Texas.. MY truck was completed and ready for pick up by January 14th..
After going thru 3 different adjusters in your Ft Worth office Amber Stewart, Nicole Mendoza and Scott Miller all the while CC'ing the team lead Kelly Orr (with absolutely no response from her). I was being asked to fax, fax, fax and refax documents that were requested from me, in which I did as soon as I was asked to and many days went by with no response to emails requesting a status update for my claim. I have all copies of emails showing the lack of communication between the adjusters the team lead and non-response to me. After being threatened with storage fees holding my truck so long I finally reached Valerie Lane and repeated the action and non-action of her staff to get my claim paid for in a timely manner. I also requested of her to speak with her boss (she advised that she could not honor my request) and to let him know my situation and that I believe that Empower should cover the full 3 weeks of extra days of car rental expense that my truck sat there at the shop while the claims office tried to figure their mess out. I complied immediately and efficiently when asked, Empower failed way short of any compliance or business-like manner at all. I just paid $828.00 + to return the rental car.. I should have only had to pay just over $100.00 for 4days rental. I am aware that my policy shows a $20.00 a day reimbursement but I do believe Empower is responsible for the 3 full weeks.Empower acts like a person that tries to avoid paying a bill - Or one of those shady insurance companies you always hear about. I do not see how they ever were voted insurance company of the year. Must have been the only one in the race!!

This Insurance group can be compared to especially dishonest and lazy crooks. It has terrible customer service and does not mind doing all in its power to pay the least amount possible. I had a fender bender which damaged my headlight, hood, and other superficial details. I had also noticed at the scene of the wreck that there was a large puddle of fluid under my car. I know very little about cars so there was no way for me to know if it was windshield wiper fluid or something more serious. Empower Insurance hires independent appraisers, one of which appraised my car. He looked under the hood(in fact, I standed around watching him force it open and I should have taken pictures) and he couldn't tell where the spill came from...In his opinion the car was able to be driven. However, it turns out that the radiator was broken, which I found out when the car overheated, damaging the radiator head. I told an agent, who then asked the appraiser about it. The appraiser LIED to them, saying that he never even looked under the hood. On top of all this, we had to keep calling them back just to get any kind of answer, usually uninformative ones. Well, I suppose Empower Insurance Group only has its own interest in mind because they took his word for it, making me completely liable. For the record, I understand that the insurance company isn't legally responsible for damage done to the car after the wreck. But had I known it was the radiator and if the appraiser had a clue, I would not have driven it. So, now I am paying for the radiator head. This entire process has taken over a month, and I am just now getting the superficial damages fixed. Empower hires dishonest people, then seemingly works with them to make sure they do, at most, the bare minimum. I would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone, including my worst enemy. (There would be no stars in the rating, but I had to AT LEAST choose one.)

This Insurance group can be compared to especially dishonest and lazy crooks. It has terrible customer service and does not mind doing all in its power to pay the least amount possible. I had a fender bender which damaged my headlight, hood, and other superficial details. I had also noticed at the scene of the wreck that there was a large puddle of fluid under my car. I know very little about cars so there was no way for me to know if it was windshield wiper fluid or something more serious. Empower Insurance hires independent appraisers, one of which appraised my car. He looked under the hood(in fact, I standed around watching him force it open and I should have taken pictures) and he couldn't tell where the spill came from...In his opinion the car was able to be driven. However, it turns out that the radiator was broken, which I found out when the car overheated, damaging the radiator head. I told an agent, who then asked the appraiser about it. The appraiser LIED to them, saying that he never even looked under the hood. On top of all this, we had to keep calling them back just to get any kind of answer, usually uninformative ones. Well, I suppose Empower Insurance Group only has its own interest in mind because they took his word for it, making me completely liable. For the record, I understand that the insurance company isn't legally responsible for damage done to the car after the wreck. But had I known it was the radiator and if the appraiser had a clue, I would not have driven it. So, now I am paying for the radiator head. This entire process has taken over a month, and I am just now getting the superficial damages fixed.
