AURA has opened its doors and is nestled in the Township Square in Missouri City. Owning and working in restaurants in New York City and Houston, Chef Perrier has been widely recognized for his creativity and inventive nature by introducing Southwestern, South American, and Asian influences to his cooking. Though renowned for his mastery of French classical and bistro cooking, his vast ability to interpret dishes for the local region has garnered him a fierce and loyal following. AURA is the perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion, for a night out with friends, or simply to enjoy an unforgettable meal. We cater! Ask us to be a part of your event that will leave a lasting impression on all of your guests. We look forward to seeing you at AURA!
My husband and I eat here every Wed. night! Everything on the menu is exceptional! I love the daily specials, you never know what Chef Perrier is creating! We are so lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber in Missouri City!!
Pros: Great food! Great Service
Cons: Not open on Mondays (except for Wine Dinners)

My spouse & I eat out often. We look for new venues every Friday. Food here was just okay and a bit overpriced. We were also rushed to turn the table. Needless to say, 1st visit is also our last.

After wandering into this rare gem on a rainy evening, I have been a regular. The food is beautifully cooked and the wine list reasonable and well-selected. Each evening sports specially selected appetizers and entrees in addition to the regular menu. I try something different every time, but, I have to admit, my favorite salad is the Lyonnaise, with that perfect poached egg. The owners are warm and welcoming and the waiters friendly and accomodating. If you're looking for a restaurant that has perfectly cooked French fare and provides an intimate setting for quiet conversation, this little jewel is it.
Pros: Quiet; intimate; simple, but beautifully crafted, haute cuisine; friendly; boutique wine list
Cons: Don't expect to wait at the bar!

This restaurant was everything we were told it was. They had a great menu with a number of specials. We had the lobster bisque which was good, but not great (next time we will try the onion soup) The AURA salad we had was fabulous (nuts, cheese, great dressing). We also had a sea bass fish dish and it was FANTASTIC, very flavorful sauce and the staple of Coq Au Vin. The waiter suggested one of the specials in leiu of the CoqAuVin, but we didn't budge. We later wished we did, because as the CoqAuVin was good, it was not as fantastic as the fish.
The cappucinno was really THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. There was so much thick froth that I finished the coffee before the froth disappeared.
We shared the chocolate fon dant with pistachio sauce...another excellent menu item!
We will definatley go back again!

I had dinner at Aura on a Saturday evening with a fairly large group of friends (9 of us). The service was excellent even with a large group from the moment we were greeted by the hostess all the way through desert. Because we had such a large group, we odered a variety of appetizers- all of which were very good. In particular the Surf and Turf (beef short ribs and scallops) was OUTSTANDING. I also had the Aura salad which was very fresh and the mix of fruit (apple), nuts, and leafy greens was spot on. As for the entrees, I would have been happy with any of the 6 different entrees we ordered (one benefit of a large party... you can sample more of the menu). The presentation was very nice- nothing over the top but very nice. Most importantly, the food was delicious, prepared just right, and the portions are sized properly. Everything was cooked perfectly. The waiter also made some excellent wine recommendations that perfectly complimented the meal. We also share a few deserts but I didn't indulge... but it was very tempting! All in all, it's one of the best restaurants in the MoCity - Sugarland area and one of the few that offers the perfect mix of good food, local flavor (not a chain like everytihng else out here...), and a nice atmosphere. Perfect for just about any occasion.
Pros: Great food, excellent service
Cons: Some might find the entree selections a little limited if none of the specials are to your liking

My husband and I tried this restaurant from reading a 3 stars (excellent) review from the Houston Chronicle. We really love french food and has been searching all over Houston. We loved the pate, escargots and foie gras. The wine prices are very reasonable. They also have wine tasting and wine tasting dinners.
Pros: Good food and great wine values

If you're looking for an intimate environment and a remarkable dining experience Aura is the restaurant for you!
Great cuisine and a fantastic staff combine to offer what to me is the best dining experiences that we've had in Houston. Chef Frederic Perrier and his wife Michelle have created a gem that shines brightly in Missouri City. My wife and I have been fortunate to have lived in Europe (and even attend several classes at the Cordon Bleu school in Paris) and dine at some of the worlds most reknowned restaurants- Aura offers a combination of the wonderful tastes and quality of that food without the pretentiousness of some of those establishments.
The food is a wonderful combination of American cuisine with a French influence that brings to the table a remarkable blend of only the freshest ingredients and exquisite preparation. The set menu offers a strong variety of dishes and the daily specials serve to augment that selection. It's great to understand that Chef Perrier personally selects the best products that local markets offer and creates his dishes from those.
We have dined there on numerous occasions and never been disappointed with the service or the quality of the food and the experience- that includes attending a party that was catered by Aura. If you're looking to truly enjoy a lunch or dinner, Aura is a great find!

My husband and I visited Aura early (6:30) on a Friday evening. The crowd had yet to arrive - there were only two or three other tables seated when we arrived. The service was great as was the food. One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. They also have a nice wine list for such a small restuarant. We did make reservations which I would recommend.

My husband and I love to try new restaurants and were very excited when Aura was featured in the Houston Chronicle. The first time we tried it we loved it and told all our friends about it. The food was out of this world good and compensated for the long wait. The second time we were very disappointed. Once again, we waited over an hour even though we had reservations. Everything we ordered was overcooked and dry. We wish them luck and hope they improve on the consistency of the food. We will not be returning.
Pros: Hostess was very nice
Cons: Food was overcooked and dry

My husband and I went for Valentines Day. The staff very personable, we were treated like millionaires.
They had a pre-arranged menu for the night, with several great choices to choose from. My husband and I had the filet. Cooked to perfection, and the meal was served piping hot. What a treat. The waiter helped
choose a lovely cabernet. My only complaint, the sea bass was farmed raised, not so good, it should have been wild.
We are looking forward to a return visit, just to experience the regular menu. This will become a staple
for us. Finally a nice restaurant in the Sugar Land area. With Perry's falling short and Amici's so so, this is a welcome addition.

Perfect Girls Night Out spot! The food was excellent, service was excellent. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but the recommendation rocked! Can't wait to dine with the hubby.
Chef Peirre, you've done it again!
Chao!

Pros: Ambience; Parking; Romantic

I am familiar with the Perrier's because I had been to both Cafe Perrier and Perrier Seafood. This restaurant is true to the Perrier tradition. The food was wonderful and the service was perfect. The owner himself came over and checked to make sure our food was to our liking. He actually sent over a sample after our meal to do an additional taste test. The specials were wonderful. I had the stuffed pork loin and my fiance had the duck. The prices are reasonable. Welcome back to the food arena Mr. and Ms. Perrier...You were missed!
Pros: Ambience, food quality, attention to detail, service
Cons: Unusual wine list, not familiar with wines but waiter made excellent recommendation
