Avoid them like the plague! These people teach nothing, rob students of their money, and completely fail to follow-through on anything once they have your money.

I wish there was a 0 star rating. That's what I would give the San Antonio Motorcycle School...a zero!

I forked over almost $200 dollars for the course. The San Antonio Motorcycle School instructors were just like any other instructors for these courses (I took one about 8 years ago).

I had some questions about riding after I took the course with the Motorcycle School and Kathy and Regina wouldn't call me back or email me back. I finally talked to some kid that pointed me back to Regina who yelled at me on the phone and told me I wasn't welcome at either location of the San Antonio Motorcycle school again!!??!!

Wow....once they have your money....they're through with you. I talked to another school and they were incredibly helpful. Sent me to a website, pointed me to a couple of dealerships AND told me about a Bike Night they go to so that I can meet some other riders.

I would only recommend people that file frivolous lawsuits to this school. Maybe they'll shape up.

Regina was helpful and informative while helping me sign up for the course. Our course material was accurate, helpful and complete. We had two excellent instructors Robert and Popeye, for our class of 8 students. The experience levels for the students ranged from some who had never ridden a motorcycle to one who had ten years of dirt riding experience. All eight of the bikes we rode were lined up and running, and waiting for us when we arrived at the riding range. They all performed flawlessly throughout the course. All of the students successfully passed the written test and the final riding evaluation, which was administered by both instructors as well as the owner of the school.

The Motorcycle School San Antonio has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I've ever worked with!! The Motorcycle School San Antonio also LIE so that you sign up for their motorcycle operators courses (MSF, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Beginning Riders Course) so that when you try to cancel, they screw you out of $35!

The Motorcycle School San Antonio lied to me through an email to pressure me into giving them my money and signing up. Then when they actually told me the truth about the certification, offered to refund all of my money because of the "mix up." After a few days and not seeing anything posting to my account, I emailed a few times and finally called The Motorcycle School San Antonio. I spoke with the person that first offered the refund who acted like we never spoke. He then directed me to the owner, Kathy.

Kathy turned out to be bi-polar and self-righteous. She was very polite, just as the other rep had been...at first. She put me on hold after about 30 seconds because she had to file her taxes. Then instantly turned into Mr. Hyde! She was rude, told me that I wasted her time with countless emails and hours on the phone with her and her staff (up to this point, I was approaching ten minutes in talk time with The Motorcycle School San Antonio over the course of a week through two phone calls with the rep). She told me that she would refund all of my money and to do more research before calling The Motorcycle School San Antonio. Even then, she doesn't want my money and told me to never contact them again. Then hung up on me before I could speak.

After being completely confused, I emailed her to make sure she was refunding all of my money and said there might have been a mix up.

These are quotes from her email "Please do NOT contact us again , as you are not welcome to attend training at our site.... We apologize for paying to maintain a website for you to access and a phone system for you to use...This is called = Integrity, I have it- you don't."

At one part it seemed like she bragged about paying commission (ie. my $35 fee) to the person that lied to me.

This is the type of treatment that The Motorcycle School San Antonio offers to the public. They just want your money and could care less whether you learn. I spoke to some former students who called to complain about something minor or ask a couple of questions that were met with the same type of hostility. Read the two bad reviews.

There are other schools that are MUCH nicer and MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE and actually know what they are talking about. I needed this course for a ticket. She claimed that it was up to the judge to determine which courses qualified, when it is actually up to Texas Education Agency and TxDOT. The staff at The Motorcycle School San Antonio and her had no clue what qualified for ticket dismissal. EVERY other school I talked to, knew the hours required and which courses did and did not qualify. It seems like this school does not do the training and ongoing education that's involved with their TEA licensing. Again, see the other review.

There are cheaper and MUCH NICER schools. One school had all their calls forwarded to the owner's cell phone and he answered no matter what. At one point, he said, "I'm driving, hold on while I pull over." To me, that shows class, responsibility and true customer service. He was busy driving, but stopped what he was doing to answer questions. AND they were less expensive!!!

After moving due to the military, I lost my MSF card. I called my instructor who has since moved and they contacted the owner. Appearently the computer that had all the data crashed. So there is no way to get the information the easy way.

The office manager offered to let me get up in the crawl space to find my card, but every time I call they are unwilling to assist me. I know its a business, but per the Texas DOT Motorcycle Safety Unit, they must maintain the card for three years. I'm guessing that they dont even have that.

I my instructors were still there, I would recommed this to everyone, but now......Find another place.

I just completed my class and I found the owner and instructors of top quality and highly supportive of their students. I had the opportunity to view some instruction at a MSF site near their headquarters in Southern California and the instruction here was as close as it comes to what occurs near their headquarters. I made a few mistakes and one "big" mistake during my training, but the coach I had was positive and helpful and it made all the difference.

I'm not sure why someone would make a review that they did not train their students and that it was a "scam." From what I observed, nothing could be further from the truth and they DO NOT pass you if you can't exhibit passing skills. In fact, if you are not progressing and you exhibit habits that are a danger to yourself or others you will be cut from the program. Your safety, the safety of others and of the general public once you are licensed is their primary concern (I don't think anyone could argue with that policy). I feel the other positive reviews are more reflective of the quality of this school

Although no student in my group raised their hand when the instructor asked if we had prior experience on a motorcycle, five of the eight in our group (I would later learn during breaks) had experience, and of those, five had extensive experience on motorcycles (a woman in our group rode a motorcycle "all the time" on her ranch). It distorts the perceptions an instructor has of the progress of individuals in the group, since he assumes everyone is starting at the same zero base. This is not the school's fault and I don't know how you can stop that type of behavior.

Pros: 1) Professional, caring and supportive staff. (2) Multiple types of equipment to learn your skills, including motor scooters. (3) Flexible times, including a site in Victoria, Texas

Cons: (1) Per MSF standards the students' progress is determined by schedule and not skills mastery. (2) Students lie about their prior experience with motorcycles.

Good instructors, and thorough. I would recommend this course to anyone that has a motorcycle that hasn't been. There is always something to take away. This establishment had great instructors, and a fast paced curriculum. The instructors were knowledgable, helpful, and patient. The facility itself, while dated in design, where adequate to accomplish the task.
The only downside I had was they did not have more than one type/style bike to choose from, and the ones provided I didn't care for....but that is business, the nod goes to the lowest bidder.

what a scam! They just wanted our money, they rushed through everything and didn't give us enough time to practice. We got our license, though, because they lady didn't make us test.

In the amount of time you have to learn to ride a bike the instructors are very helpful. The information you take away with you is useful. Don't go out before taking this class you will be out in the heat.
