I'm planning on reporting them to the BBB. Took my car in for standard checkup. I was told I needed a new timing belt. Ok- $1000. Got the car back with new timing belt but my car that drove great yesterday when I dropped it off now shakes, groans, and has trouble steering. Also the car is revving all the time when I try to accelerate. After 6 yrs with this car I know that this is the first time its ever felt like this. Brought the car back. Was told that the new steering fluid needed to thicken. Took the car back, no changes except a few days later, the clutch won't engage. I had to have the car towed back to Mopac Auto. They insist that its just a coincidence that both of these other issues have just sprung up and are unrelated with the repair of the timing belt. They charge me another $600 or so for a new steering column and other repairs. Get the car back. Still groans, shakes, and had trouble steering. Did they even do anything? Took it to another mechanic who usually works on my car. I was reminded that they had put a new timing belt on last year. These guys at Mopac just ignored this fact and charged me $1000 for labor and a new part anyway! Also replaced my steering column with a used and defective NAPA part. What an expensive headache! I wish I had a recording of the phone calls which involved questions like, "Do you know how to spell Prelude?" and "What's your gate code and license plate # so the tow truck can find your car?"...hrs later, still no tow truck and they tell me "I thought you were getting the tow truck"..At this rate you might as well try to fix it yourself!

I am going to take them to small claims court ASAP. They did a good job on my van back in 2005 so I took it back to them to fix the stalling problem it kept having since March 2010. I paid them $631.07 on 6/16/10 for "fixing" this stalling issue. This morning 6/18/10 it started trying to stall on me if it went over 2 RPMs, which was the whole reason I took it in the 1st place. Obviously the problem was not fixed. I managed to take it back to them by driving 20-25 mph to let them know it was still not fixed. Gave them the keys to test drive it and without my authorization they had it back in the garage ready to do something. We get called liars by Robert because according to him in his 30+ years of doing this he's never encountered a vehicle that does what we told him was happening. Robert gets all defensive and according to him we were trying to scam them! They did NOT fix the problem which cost me money I cannot be wasting with 3 kids and the economy the way it is! We get the car back out of their garage, and 5 minutes later it is over-heating and the check engine light is on. I am taking it to another certified mechanic to tell me if they tampered with the coolant line while they had it in their garage this morning. A line was tampered with and it sprayed liquid all over parts that are now going to cost me $1000 to fix. I do not want this to happen to other hard working people that need their vehicle. I am not letting them get away with something so low and have filed a complaint with the Attorney General, BBB and sending them a certified letter to resolve this like civilized people before I file with small claims court. Please, please, please investigate before you give anyone your vehicle keys. This is the reason why people hate dealing with mechanics!

I've been going to Mopac Auto since I moved into the neighborhood. They've done everything from simple oil changes to entire engine replacements and I've never been disappointed.

If you're the kind that really likes to know what's going on with your car, ask for Dean. It seems that Dean has taught almost every mechanic in town at one time or another, and knows his stuff. He is very patient with my questions and can explain some pretty complex problems in a way that the layman can understand.

I can highly recommend this place.

I was referred to Mopac Auto by my mother. Upon pulling up, I was warmly greeted and immediately served. Before I could blink I was given paperwork to fill out for my state inspection which I barely finished by the time my new plates were put on and as they were fixing my mirror. Since I am a college student, any help and cost effective help at that is grealy appreciated. beyond words! All of the staff has been very friendly and helpful. A mechanic told me the different ways I could replace my mirror when finances allow. Thank you so much and I will definitely refer others to Mopac Auto

The level of service you provide is always beyond what anyone else would consider. Your staff is always pleasant and cheerful and willing to help with any problem, no matter how small!

It is also refreshing not to have to worry about trying to be sold parts or services we do not need. I have brought our vehicles to you on 4 separate occasions after being told by one of the national or big chains that we need extensive, expensive work performed. So, we brought our cars to you. On 3 of the trips we were told no work needed to be done and on the one occasion work did need to be performed, you beat their price by almost half!

My father is an auto mechanic and I trust you as much as I trust him. I grew up working on cars with him and for the most part know when I am being sold a lie or when I am being told the truth ?? and I highly recommend you to all my coworkers, family and friends.

Yesterday my car overheated and I towed it to Mopac Auto. Immediately, Ahmed met me and told me how sorry he was that my car was having trouble. He reassured me that they would take care of it in a timely manner. The next day he called me to give the estimate. The thing that impressed me the most was that he remembered I had AAA and was eligible for the discount! This is something I was completely unaware of and the fact that he was genuinely concerned about saving me money was amazing. This is the first year I am on my own, and times are extremely tough with the economy. Ahmed made a potentially devastating situation as painless as possible.
