I chose ARC @ S 1st because I wanted a female primary care physician, a conveniently located clinic, and an office that offers patients after hours appointments.

My doctor, Dr. Sanchez-Ellig, is amiable, competent, professional, and she answers all of my questions. I can tell when she's rushed, which is often at ARC, but she manages to imbue all of our visits with what seems to me to be a genuine concern for her patient's health. Her nurse (don't recall her name...) is also really nice and she reminds my doc about my concerns or relays questions to her if necessary. Just a good nurse, in other words.

Don't expect your appointment to begin on time at ARC. Neither should you expect great service from the front desk or the lab room. I've never experienced rudeness, per se, so much as feeling ignored or like I'm just not a priority. When I had blood taken, I felt uncomfortable. A needle was stuck in my arm, blood gushing into this tube - and my tech was sitting next to me, turned away and gabbing on with the other young techs. I felt like saying, "I'm not getting my nails done here, jeez. This may be routine for you, but that doesn't mean you should treat this time like a slumber party!"

Pros: Dr. Sanchez-Ellig is nice; easy to make app'ts.; after hours

Cons: busy waiting room; impersonal; rushed visits at times

I have used ARC for years and at least once a quarter I am utterly disgusted by the lack of caring shown by the doctors and nurses. Out of the 8 different doctors I have seen between two of their locations, only 2 acted as if they really wanted to help resolve my medical issues. And it's impossible to get an appointment with the two good ones. So, to the other 6 doctors and their nurses--get over yourselves--you are not god, in fact you're more like demons. You make me even more sick than I already am.

Honestly, this is the wortd experience I have ever had at a new doctor. I am new to Texas and wanted to see a doctor and I felt very rushed and talked down to. I had a very bad experience.
