This is a poorly maintained building in the midst of noisy, ongoing remodeling. When I moved in, the apartment looked fairly clean, but the insides of cabinets and the blinds, and everything that was not a large, visible surface was filthy. The walls are paper thin, the neighborhood is not very safe, and despite the fact that this is a small complex, the management is rude and unresponsive. The property manager represented that the property is owned by a "funky Austin family." Funky (and not in the cool sense) is probably right, judging by the lousy quality of living here. Parts of the building are constantly being remodeled or repaired, so there are always workers in and out and hanging around out front, with little visible progress. Repairs inside the unit are hit or miss, and some of those that are completed are very questionable: one of the repairs in my apartment consisted of repairing broken blinds with moving tape, which did not hold, so I ended up just re-taping it together myself. Overall, it's a dirty, unpleasant place to live, so if you are looking for a less expensive apartment downtown, this place isn't worth it. At all.
