The painters came in and had to paint over a hacker's paint job. They did a wonderful job. They prepared the house for the paint job, i.e.; plastic on floors, removal of wall switch plates and door knobs on all doors. The The site supervisor David Turk, was a very pleasant and professional person to work with. His three man crew, Robert, Cesar, and Jaime were very good painters. I'm very happy with the job. I would recommend them to paint your house.

Good professional work done by Phillips Painting on our gate. On time and well done from the top to the bottom. So far, it looks like it will last quite a while.

Philips did a fantastic job on replacing our roof with new shingles. They came in and had the job completed in one and half days. We have a large and very steep roof line. The crew was very courteous and did a great job keeping the area picked up while they worked and left the yard as clean as they found it. We are selling the house and had to replace a vent and Robert followed up and took care of the situation. I found working with Phillips a great experience and the roof is beautiful.

Needed exterior water damage repair and received a prompt response to set up an appointment for an estimate. A request was made to quote the cost to replace all exterior wood with Hardie Board material as well as installing new gutters and downspouts..
Chris Walker came out to the house right on time. Very professional and knowledgeable, he was prepared for the rain forecast for the afternoon so that he could work through it, and he did. That was the day of the tornadoes in Forney. He showed us samples of their materials including the guttering, downspouts, and guards as well as the paint they would use. He clearly explained the detailed line item format of their quote sheet as well as their warranties and insurance coverage, etc. He promised a quote and we made the proposal appointment.
Chris was extremely helpful in working with his management and the crew leads to help us convey to the roofing company what needed to be done by whom and in what order which worked out to everyones advantage. Excellent communication and understanding of project management on Chris part made it all go far smoother than it might have otherwise.
The start date for the renovation slipped a few days without impact to the overall schedule and for good reason. The winds were high and spray painting was being delayed at the preceding jobsite to ours. Edwin arrived as promised on a Saturday and we walked the job, checking the job description and making sure little details were clear to us both. Chris was able to help yet again with a series of emails clarifying the type and finish of the soffit material in response to my questions that arose after the landscapers architectural lighting consultant had been out to finish up their plans. Chris got answers through the weekend and on Monday right at eight as promised Edwin and his crew arrived.
We walked the jobsite again and discussed a few more details. His crew started work and were very responsive to requests and very helpful in explaining the details of what they were doing, what they planned to do, and what the issues with the original construction were at many times throughout the project which lasted four very long days. As surprises turned up during demolition they were again very helpful in immediately pointing things out and asking for input as to how it would be preferred to proceed.
Each issue was resolved quickly, professionally, and with detailed explanations. They were clear on what changes would require material not on the job sheet and were clearly ultimately concerned with customer satisfaction. I was surprised that stating that we had no problem covering any extras and overruns as needed since the repairs took precedence was an unusual occurrence. After all, its called an estimate for a reason.
Every person on the crew was unstintingly polite, diligent, clean in their appearance and work habits, very easy to work with, friendly, and considerate. There was no significant damage to anything in the flower beds even though theyd been told it was all to be dug out for upcoming landscaping. This concern for our property carried through every day, including painting. Phillips Painting motto is Workmanship Beyond Your Expectations often this is merely marketing noise. Not here. Not at all. If anything its an understatement. Seriously.
Why? Well, this house was built in the mid-late eighties and without foundation damage but it has settled a bit leaving a lot of framing just a wee bit off square and plumb. Not by much but enough to make exact replication of the exterior trim physically impossible in places. Didnt slow them down a bit although it did run extra hours for which we were happy to pay given the results. It takes skill and experience to redesign on the fly like this and they left a number of places quite literally better than new, both in quality of workmanship as well as the look of the house. Over a thousand pictures were taken before, during, and after making this demonstrably true.
They werent hired to do remodeling although in the end this was a good portion of what they did. When your neighbors compliment the work through the day, and most every day, something more than mere repair is taking place. No detail was overlooked and no prompting was necessary for them to add extra features that have honestly taken their work beyond beyond. And that aint hyperbole.
Having worked as an assistant carpenter for a remodeling firm, albeit a long time ago, it was easy to recognize the first class skills of every single person on the crew as well as the quality management behind them. Chris proved to be an excellent source of help and communication, and took personal concern for the job, dropping by a couple of times to make sure it was going well and if we were happy with the work. Would we use them again? In a heartbeat.

Worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. If you're a woman, take your business elsewhere. The quality of the work was poor, the customer service was worse, and I had to have a second contractor come in to fix Phillips' terrible work.

I love when you find a tradesman who does what they say they will do and even more! We were pleased with the exterior painting job they did and look forward to having them back when we need to have our roof redone. Once you find them, you don't want to let them go.

I had Phillips painting give me an estimate for exterior painting. The estimator barely looked over the house, and then gave me an estimate that was DOUBLE a previous one. Maybe the do use a little better paint, and brush some, but still. Not impressed.

I got an estimate for gutters from Phillips, and they never said anything about their power needs. I had arranged to take the day off following the installation so I could touch-up the house, but they canceled at the last minute because they couldn't reach the power outlet. I wasn't going to schedule with them again because it really messed up my own schedule, but they convinced me to follow through. The job was eventually done well except for the gutter straps. The were hand cut, jagged, applied slap-dash with the sharp corners exposed, and they insist it's up to their standards and the industry standards. It looks junky, frankly.

They have one person there who just should not be allowed to communicate with customers. When I emailed pictures of the straps from neighbors' gutters, he actually tried to obscure the issue by talking about how they were badly installed. I frankly don't care if they were drilled into the mortar instead of the brick, we were talking about the nice, smooth, professional appearance. I guess my caution would be if you're a woman, go elsewhere. They will definitely try to treat you like you're an idiot.

Pros: The gutters themselves look nice.

Cons: The straps holding up the downspouts look like garbage.

We were leaving our home in Fairview to speak at a conference in Franklin Tennessee, our flight was to leave at 11:00 that morning. I was awakened to the sound of alarms, a violent storm passed thru, blowing shingles off our roof, causing a major leak in an upstairs bedroom, our home was just about covered with water upstairs, all of this taking place about 3:00 am. I called Jason Phillips, of Phillips Painting. My roof was repaired that morning, along with some friends to help with the carpets, we made our flight and conference. These guys are awesome, they have painted interior and exterior two homes and our church for me, I can tell you they are more than just a painting company, thanks Jason.

I have spent the past four months extremely frustrated with having my pool built. I say that to say that having a company like Phillips come into the picture to do my gutters was a breath of fresh air. They listened to exactly what I was looking for in a guttering system and came upwith a fair price.

After job completion the followed up to make sure we were happy. Still waiting on that call by my pool builder... I won't hold my breath.

Spent less than 1500 dollars and was treated like I spent 25k. Well done.
