In Short
Fans of this successful catering company's gourmet approach fill its self-service cafe area to dine on grilled salmon wraps and intense chicken soup. Popular breakfast items, served weekdays, include challah French toast with pure maple syrup, black forest ham steaks and blueberry-buttermilk pancakes. Local residents pile in for a weekend brunch that features table service and is served until 3pm. Fresh coffee and exceptional cookies and tarts are always available for those on the go.

The Inside Scoop

  1. Know Before You Go - Just in time for the holidays--Bakers offers menus for the following festive days: Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.
  2. The Extras - Busy moms and worker bees can stop in right before closing to grab a couple of prepared meals (grilled salmon, chicken piccata), resulting in an easy at-home dinner.

Ratings_icons Bakers Best Incorporated is a great place for lunch!

A great lunch spot! Baker's Best has enormous sandwiches that are perfect to share. If you do share I would highly recommend having a cookie or sweet after. I love their hermit cookies. They have meals to go & a catering menu.

Ratings_icons More than a bakery!

Shannon S. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,632

A great lunch spot or dinner to go! This shop is so much more than a bakery. With a full menu, prepared foods and amazing baked goodies, you can't go wrong here. A little more expensive than your average deli, it's worth it for the gourmet food you're coming away with!

PROS: the food!

Ratings_icons Very good pastries, food is pretty good as well

This place was packed. I had already stopped up the street for some light stuff to hold me over and I'm glad I did. By the time I made it to a chair I was starving all over again.

The food selection reminds me pretty much of the deli/prepared food section at Whole Foods. That's a good thing because it's tasty. Problem is that it's overpriced for what you get (reheated stuff really). The meats aren't exactly the best quality either. The soups didn't taste much different from the stuff I get at Au Bon Pain close to where I work yet it's much more expensive.

Service is average but again, not good when comparing it to other places where you'd spend this kind of money. It's not that they're rude, just very busy, and therefore kinda aloof. Don't get me wrong, you're not paying Ritz Carlton prices here, just more than what I would expect for the quality of food you're getting in the decor that you are enjoying also.

Pros: The pastries I did try were very good

Cons: Overpriced, service is too busy to pay as much attention as they should, decor is very average, noisy, crowded, long lines

Ratings_icons Amazing Brunch!

When you go there for a weekend brunch, prepare to wait a little while. It's definitely worth the wait, though! Their food is fresh and tasty. Everything is also aesthetically pleasing. I definitely recommend this place; one of my favorite places to brunch at!

Pros: great food

Cons: long wait
