5 Stars: The Tap (by Michael O.)

Since i don't drink, i cant comment on the booze. But the food is pretty good here. I used to go more frequently when my friend worked there, but still is a good place to hang out. The patio has nice view and refreshing breeze in the summertime.

3 Stars: Beyond "Pub" Fare (by Ana C.)

My husband and I have been here several times, and love it each time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with warm wooden walls, beautiful tin tile ceilings, and antique books and artwork that adorns the walls.

The make their own microbrews there, and they are fantastic, offering a special brew at a reasonable price, or a sampler, which is what we start with. Our favorite is the Haverale. It's similar to a wheat beer, and is perfect in the summer.

The clam chowder is one of the best I've tried, and having had a chance to try others, we love this. By far, their fish and chips are my favorite menu item. The fries are cripsy, not greasy, that accompany large portions of freshly battered fish.

The burgers are amazing. They've been pretty accurate as far as getting the doneness every time, and the portions are generous. One doesn't always get the "pickle" as mentioned on the menu, and service is slow at times. The appetizers come out with the entrees, and doesn't allow one to space a meal out. Service has
removed plates from our table, without asking if we were done, that we were STILL working on, but had put aside.Overlooking that, the food is great, and they have a bread bar that helps pass time while we wait for service to hopefully catch up to the par of the menu.

3 Stars: Ok place for dinner.... (by Daphne F.)

We like to meet friends at the Tab during the summer. We grab some tables on the deck and catch up over dinner and drinks. The food is decent and drinks flow. My favorites are the blue cheese burger and apple martinis.

4 Stars: Cool atmosphere and good food (by Kate G.)

I had heard a negative comment about the food here before I went (i.e. go for the beer, not the food) but I was pleasantly surprised. I like to sit at the bar when I go to a pub, and the bartender was personable but not overly friendly. My friend and I each had margaritas, which were good, but not particularly memorable. (I've heard that margaritas are "so 90's" but fortunately, I'm always a little behind the trends, so I'm still enjoying them like it's 1999.) The people next to us were chatty which was cool, and they recommended the nachos. They were big, but delicious. We both ordered a turkey burger and were quite happy with them. My brother and sister in law have been there on a Friday night and have told me that sitting outside in the summer is awesome because there's a band. We'll have to try that soon. For me, the beer is a little bitter (I tried the red-headed something or other) but people who like a lot of hops would probably like it better than I did. Overall, I would definitely recommend it. Loved the atmosphere and I love a bar where I feel at home.
