This was a close drive to a lot of activities--maybe 3 miles to the waterfront where Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower are located. Another advantage was you could walk to a dozen restaurants! Made it nice if you wanted to have a few drinks and not drive.
Also close to train stations for a great day trip to Boston. Takes about an hour if the train stops at each stop. And we took the boat from Plymouth to Provincetown. Saved us driving.
I was very surprised by the rooms! Much nicer than I expected. We had 2 queen size beds--very comfortable with big, fluffy comfortors. The room didn't look 'hotel-like'--big granite counters in the bathroom. Very clean.
Indoor pool--a bit warm--and hot tub. There is a fitness center with a couple of pieces of equipment. And they have a coule of computers available to the public. The hotel is all wired for wifi so it was great for those laptops.
Breakfast is complementary and had a lot of options. Some muffins, bagels, bread, sausage, french toast, hot and cold cereal, and fruit.
Staff was helpful, woman at the desk knows all the Pilgrim history and directed us to some fun things for the kids and some incredible restaurants!
Don't miss all the freshwater beaches too! State Forest was AWESOME!
