Ashley worked well with the issue of my arm mobility and range of motion. She also gave me some good recommendations how to limit my pain.

The reviews for this place are all over the place but I will say that our experience was excellent. I have some very specific allergies and the staff were very attentive to this and very knowledgeable. Their expertise was reaffirmed with the execution. Perfect massages and facials. We were seen early. Everyone was very nice from the front desk to our masseuses. The spa was really pretty. Very charming. I will go back just over the attention to my allergies alone. They really do pay attention to the details and that makes all the difference to me in the world.

This spa seems to have it all. The reception staff were incredibly warm and gracious. My services (massage and facial) were perfect. It is beautiful. I was seen on time and there were plenty of refreshments. The windows overlooking Newbury Street with the antique furniture might have been my favorite of all. Truly great.

This spa should be commended for their great service and business practices. In my travels I have visited many spas and this was one of the better/best ones. My wife wants my back smooth and my stress gone when I return from long business trips. So, I had it all at Spa Newbury. Back wax, massage, pedicure, manicure and mens facial. The wax was the fastest, least painful and cleanest I have ever had. I have been a couple times to Newbury Street and this was one of the larger spas I have seen there too. The women were not young models but real people that could press hard and give a great deep tissue. It was a weekend holiday that was very busy and sold-out yet everything was still top-notch. My only con and the reason I am writing this posting here is because there was one lady ahead of me who tried to change her appointment and offered the spa more money to do so. She had some type of promotion but wanted something different. She was very mean to the staff but they held their composure and were pure professionals. She was told that it would interfere with other client appointments (I believe they were mine) so they could not accommodate such a last minute change. I thought for a second the spa would do it especially because she was behaving badly, offering them money for the "inconvenience" and threatening a bad review if she did not. I was relieved when the they did not cater to that bratty behavior. I felt really good about this spa when I left. My service was phenomenal and they did not wrongly "sell-out" my appointments to another like many spas would for the extra dough. They took me five minutes early instead of making me wait up to an hour like some could during "peak" times. While it is a bad economy this place deserves extra kudos for keeping good business practices in honoring their appointments and morals.

Cons: Promotions that bring in opportunistic & advantageous peopl

This was a great find on Newbury street amongst what feels like hundreds of salons and spas. I found this spa as a walk-in customer. They were able to fit me in and I had the best massage of my life. When I walked in my feet were killing me from walking around so much so I honestly could not have cared how good the service was as long as I receive one. I have returned several times for facials, had a few more massage appointments and purchased a gift certificate for a professional colleague. All were equally good experiences. The desk staff are always nice and welcoming. The spa itself is very charming and it transforms me back a couple hundred years and makes me think what it was like to live there in the 1800s or whenever Newbury Street was built. I have tried a couple different therapists and each one seems to be as good as the next. I would go here more often if getting into town was not so difficult.

This is the Spa to come to if you want it ALL!!!
I have never visited a Spa (and I have visited many) that offers MORE treatments than you can even IMAGINE! If you can imagine it, Spa Newbury can DELIVER IT!

I have been a client of Spa Newbury since it opened a few blocks up the Street. They have since moved into a beautiful VERY TASTEFULLY DESIGNED first-floor space further up the street in a much hipper section of Newbury Street. (closer to nice restaurants, shopping.) I really love what the owner, Selena has done with the decor of the Spa, as I have visited beautiful Spa's like this in Paris. Reminds me a lot of Paris! Merci Vraiment, Selena!!

I especially LOVE the fact that as soon as I came in for my Spa Treatment, I was offered something to drink (green tea, in fact) and a cookie snack. Little did they know that I had worked all day and did not have a chance to stop for a snack and was starving!!! This was such a "thoughtful" service that I had not expected at all... that little snack meant more to me than they could have possibly imagined!!

My services have ranged from:
* Individual Massage and Couples Massage (including spa packages)
* Warm Java Body scrubs
* Express Facials and Full Facials
* INCREDIBLE "Pink" mud baths (OOOOOH MY GOD!!)
* Detox Treatments and Mineral Treatments
Including countless other treatments...

In my opinion, Spa Newbury is a top notch Spa with the best service you will get here in Boston and anywhere. The staff is professional, pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable.

The best thing that I actually learned from Spa Newbury was how to care for my skin at home as well as at the Spa. The products range from Clinical type products to your "better" Spa products. The staff really knows what my needs are and everything that I have purchased from Spa Newbury has worked for me without fail. They will also suggest products for special skin needs (in my case sensitive skin prone to all types of allergic reactions.) I also have hyper-pigmentation. The products that I got from Spa Newbury have been working to reduce the visibility of the brown spots on my skin. YES, they really actually WORK!!! And, keeping in mind that my skin is very sensitive, I can actually use the products without any skin reactions or irritation.

THANK YOU SPA NEWBURY for helping me put my best face forward!!!

Easily booked an appointment on-line. Took me right in for my appointment on time. Received a great facial and pedicure. Enjoyed some unique attributes to the services such as some type of mud ritual for my pedi. Spa Facial included face, neck and upper chest. Facialist was an expert. Pedicurist was perfection. Receptionist was warm and welcoming. Truly enjoyable.

I happen to love Spa Newbury. I have been several times and have found it to be a wonderful reprise. Then again, I have been to many spas so I tend to think I have a better idea of what is great - and what is not.

I love the fact that when I go in there is great food (and I mean real snacks not just an apple), there are great and plentiful magazines and the people watching in their first floor space and huge reception area windows are all superb.

Their services are exceptional as well. I mostly go for their massages and I remember Tina and Beth best. They both have MAGIC hands. I think I have always received a gift bag at the end of each visit and I love the "stress relief oil" packet that always comes in this. Its a really nice gesture after the end of any spa visit.

I love that I can now book my appointments on-line and that they are open 7 days a week so I can go anytime I want (within reason). I also love that they keep their spa tidy and well organized. While I love my cell phone just as much as any, I love the fact that they truly do not allow this in their spa which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Praise true ethereal peace!

While I have been to much larger spas, and if I wanted a relaxing time at a pool or another spa experience I would book elsewhere other than Newbury street, I will say, this is one of my favorite local Boston haunts. They always seem to have what I want and provide it effortlessly. It has been great every time I need.

Pros: Friendly, Knowledgeable

Cons: Have not found any yet!

.

At the beginning of my visit I sat in the "waiting" area that was extremely tiny. I received a phone call on my cell from my mother about funeral arrangements for my gm. Obviously I needed to take the call. The receptionist interupted my call and indicated there was no cell phone use in the waiting area. (which I can understand why since there was a person getting a manicure in the waiting area) However, she attempted to block my exit out of the building so that I could continue my conversation!
I went to this salon for an airbrush tan. The website indicated that the salon had experienced technicians to do the airbrushing. Turns out the receptionist is also the "experienced technician". However, when my tan "set" I discovered yellow/orange streaking on my elbows, shins, and underarms. This was all with the products they convinced me to buy and use before my tan. But that wasn't the worst of it! The technician while I was in nothing but a paper thong asked if I've had children and had I lost weight. Yes, I have stretch marks. But it isn't fun or appropriate to ask those questions when someone is standing in front of you in an already precarious situation. Not if you want to make money in this business anyway. If you have any flaws expect them to be commented on if you go to this place. If you're lucky enough not to, beware of streaking!

Pros: I'd Give This Spa a Zero Rating If I Could!

Cons: Rude Staff/Overpriced

.

I've never experienced more difficulty, or a more rude experience with any spa or salon! I had a gift card so I went for a pedicure and it was hard to get an appointment, then when i came they insisted on charging my credit card and refunding me which took several weeks because of "problems with their system". The pedicure was in this back room and seemed very drawn out. Definitely not worth the price! At this point I still have money left on the card, but was reluctant to even make another appt because of my first experience. I did try again though and this time the woman on the phone said that I have an older card so it will take them several days to verify my card and book me an appointment. Again, they're having "problems with their system". All of this may have been ok if the woman wouldn't have been so cold and rude over the phone. Definitely not worth it, I'd rather pay at another salon than get a free pedicure here! DON'T GO!

Cons: rude manager, inconvenient scheduling, over priced

I never had such a terrible experience at a day spa in my life! I will never never go back to this over-priced spa where they treat the customers like garbage. I actually signed up for City search just to tell everyone to avoid this pretentious place. The ower has absolutely no customer service skills, she was inexcuseably rude to me. I only treat myself to a beauty service once in a great while and I am horrified that I spent money on a terrible experience. I was upset for the rest of the day after the owner actually lectured me about tardiness (which was not the worst part, she was rude to me again later), when I was more than 5 minutes early! I had to fill out pathetic forms like I was in a medical office. They cut my services short and when I asked to talk to the manager, the owner blamed me, did not apologize and once again was rude to me! Who the hell does this woman think she is? Does she not know how much money we spend to Relax? I will not EVER go to this place again.

WAY to much money for poor service, loud background noise, and EXTREMELY RUDE manager! I can't believe that I subjected my mom to a surprise "girls spa day" that made us miserable.

I can't say just how badly I was treated at Spa Newbury. From the moment I entered the spa, I was not greeted, the chairs were dirty, they served ice water in thirty degree weather. They not only overcharged me, the beauty treatments I received were only so-so. The owner is a mean-spirited person not suited to running a day spa since her customer service skills are non-existant. She was horribly rude, impatient, and a complete and utter horror of a person. No one could pay me enough to go back there and be mistreated! I went there to relax and unwind after a long and stressful day! I was so upset for hours afterwards. I would expect in this economy that she would be nicer to paying customers.

Pros: the Owner

.

I can not express enough how horrible Spa Newbury is. The owner was rude and very unprofessional; while booking my appointment she was very impatient and condescending on the phone. As for the spa, it
appeared to be clean and organized, but that was not the reality. After sitting on a chair in the waiting area, I stood up to go for my treatment and realized that I was covered in some sort of animal hair...this truly disgusted me! I also noticed that the sheets on the table looked dirty, I was told that they were clean, just stained!! Please invest in some new ones!! The towels used in my facial were rough and hard and it felt like a brillo pad was being used on my skin. The rest of my facial was unejoyable, I could not fully relax due to all the banging of cupboards and the fact that my therapist left and reentered the room on several occasions. I also had a pedicure in a "new Euopean chair." That was the biggest joke of all...I paid $70 to have a pedicure in an uncomfortable chair, while sticking my feet into a plastic bag that was filled with luke warm water. When I asked if there was any way to warm up the water, I was told that they couldnt. Overall the Spa Newbury staff did not make my "relaxing spa day" enjoyable. I would never come back here again, and I only wish I would have read the reviews before going there. As for the good reviews this place has received, I have no idea what those people are talking about!!

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: EVERYTHING

.

I say believe the positive reviews of Spa Newbury and put the negative ones in the trash with the people who wrote them. I have been to this Spa over a dozen times. If you read the negative reviews closely you will see most who criticize this Spa do not use or have misused it. Rather unfortunate they would speak so poorly of something they know nothing about.

Spa Newbury is the most fabulous all-around Spa in Boston. They guarantee their appointments. They have a fabulous selection of services and they are economically conscientous for these "tuff times". I tend to run late (given my responsibilities as CFO). Every time I show my beautician is waiting for me, smiling, ready to go. I do not have to worry that if I show up 15 minutes late my appointment that I just sat in immense rush hour will be given to somone else. I have seen clients turned away and walking out the door before I arrive late. All of the spas on Newbury seem to have a lot of walk-in traffic. Most spas would take that walk in and dismiss my appointment. Not Spa Newbury. It is one of the few with Business Integrity.

Spa Newbury offers a lot of promotions and I wish they would stop some of them. They are great. Unfortunately for every 99 good customers it always attracts some piece of trash with it. Anyone who goes to this spa reguarly will know what I mean when they see any of these negative reviews. It is embarassing that the people who booked $25 and $50 nonrefundable mini specials no show, cancel, lie about what was said or the service itself and then complain in all of these circumstances. Most of these "reviews" had different "facts" listed in them until they were changed (oops - "updated") over and over to remove all of their own responsibilities for their "issues".

I love Spa Newbury. Those girls work hard. They run a tight schedule. The services are perfect for me. No bad apples. They put their own twist to make everything different and their own. I will be a customer for life!

Pros: Fabulous services staff schedule. Affordable. Open 7 days.

Cons: Promotions seem to attract a low level of class clients.

Spa Newbury (249 Newbury Street) is a phenominal spa. I brought my mom who has cancer there. We were both incredibly impressed with their services and professionalism. We will never forget the experience. The owner took the time to learn about my mom's condition, make sure we got the right products, nothing that would be too strong or irritating for her skin and fragile condition. They went overboard with satisfaction, saw to our every need and simply did anything and everything to make us as comfortable and happy as possible. I could not dream of a better experience. I do not doubt that any customer who shows the slightest amount of respect towards this business will receive the same. Enjoy and thank you to a truly talented spa and staff.

Ok, you need to run away if you have to, just please don't come here. I'm disappointed that I didn't read reviews before going for my facial, but I had a giftcard, so I decided to just go. I had a really uncomfortable facial, I just couldn't relax at all and as a previous review stated, the towels are old and rough, but also smell moldy. I was rushed out of the room after because they were overbooked and needed the room ASAP. The owner barged in and I hadn't even put my shirt back on! Also, she does grab your purse, it's really true!! When I politely confronted her about not touching my property and barging in on me half dressed, she rudely stated that they needed the space and that I basically needed to pay and leave. When I tried to complain to the owner about my facial (and how red my face ended up being), she FLIPPED OUT on me calling me rude and telling me I was wrong. I asked for a price reduction due to the fact that I was having some sort of bad reaction to my treatment and she was dismissive and had a disgusting attitude in general. If you are lucky and smart enough to read these reviews, PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS SALON AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

I received a call from the owner this morning. Right from hello I could tell she was unpleasant. She asked me questions such as what kind of work I was looking for, my massage experience, etc. When she got to the question about my hours and flexibility, I told her I was looking for day and early evenings. She was "confused" by this and asked me if I was specifically looking for a day job. I said yes. She was very damanding about her workers being there 7 days a week for 8 hours a day or more, then she laughed at me and in a callus voice said, "good luck finding a day job" and hung up. If you are planning on applying here, DO NOT!!

I had a gift card from my mother in-law and I made an appointment to have a signature facial and a manicure at Spa Newbury. All stuff were very friendly....BUT I had the worst facial and manicure I have ever had in my entire life!!!!! As for manicure, I can do better myself. It was so bad that I wanted to get out as soon as possile. I can not believe, they charge more than $25 for that aweful manicure. I always go to "My nail salon" in South End and I pay $15 for it for manicure and they do such beautiful job. I was shocked.....I mean......you don't have to be trained to be a manicureist? Facial was not great either. The towels they use are so old and hard that they hurt my skin. I normally enjoy and fall a sleep durling the facial and massage, but this time, I couldn't wait to get up and leave. (and...may be I should have, because my face is SO red from this facial that I cannot go out today!!!!!!! Hopefully it will be fine by tomorrow) This never happens to me before and I am SO disappointed. I still have a balance ($50) left on my gift card, but as soon as I left there I through it away. I would never ever go back there AGAIN!!!!!!! This is a nightmare.

Owner, Rude, really Rude and Extremely Rude, there is not need to treat clients/people like that, if you're miserable then get out of the service industry.

a friend and i booked appointments here. The spa asked for a deposit of 25$ for my service, 50 for hers. We charged it on her credit card as it was easier instead of using two seperate cards. The morning of our appointments i couldnt get hold of my friend, i hoped we'd meet there. She didnt turn up but i went for my service. When i walked in, i gave them my name and was taken to my room right away. I undressed and the esthestician (jill) came within a few minutes. Jill was very kind, she began my facial and i relaxed. 5 minutes later a frazzled woman bursts in the room (the owner). She SCREAMS about my friend, i explain that i had no idea where she was. So the woman went off on a tangent about how rude and disrespectful we were. she leaves..slamming the door, but 5 minutes later, barges in again demanding that i pay extra for my facial and she was going to charge money on my friend's card to pay for the missed services. Not only was the way she screamed this at me totally disrespectful, but then she grabbed my purse, OPENED it and reached inside! (i could only peek as there was soap over my eyes and face). Then she threw my bag on my stomach (i'm 7 1/2 months pregnant!!) and said "get the money now". I was so stunned i didnt know what to say! it so out of line and completely nuts! i wish i had left but i felt sorry for Jill so i payed right there and finished the service..when it was over, i was pressured to buy products.. wow. I could understand if she was angry about the missed services, but i am in no way responsible for my friend and i did not deserve to be treated with such total disrepect. Sadly, I found out later my friend was unable to make it due to a sudden tragedy i wish to not include... please trust me, you dont EVER want to visit this spa. Its cramped, ugly, and overpriced, the salon manager/owner has a DISGUSTING attitude and is out of her mind. I had NEVER been treated so poorly! i'm still in utter shock and disbelief.

Pros: its on newbury st??

Cons: horrible customer service, this facial left scars and burns to my skin, very mean very rude manager (selina), cramped hot and musty space. RIP-OFF

Customer Service? I think not. Incredibly rude woman by the name of Linda answering the phone. Audibly huffs/puffs levels of frustration through the phone.
Owner, Selina, did not call back as requested to discuss a cancellation due to infectious strep throat.
Required a DOCTOR's note to exempt me from 100% cxl fee. How old are we? 6?
Absolutely will NEVER use this spa again, and will do my utmost to get the word out to everyone I know. Considering I am a Concierge, this should considerably hamper their future bookings....

I was excited for my first time to go to a spa. I saw the pricings for the spa and they are prices that I can't argue with. I got a facial and an "aromatherapy" massage. When I first went in the spa, it was busy, a ton of people, and they seemed so hectic (ironic for a place dedicated to relaxation). People did not greet you until they realized you were their customer. The facial I got was very relaxing, I was on a massage chair and the person did a great job. Later on, I received my "aromatherapy" massage. Notice the " " 's? That's because there was nothing relevant to any therapies of aromaaa... She gave me a painfully slow massage with lotion.. lol! And it was only twenty minutes when I should've gotten another ten.

Overall... the prices are pretty fair, but you will not feel relaxed after

I would not recommend this spa to anyone, and I will never return there. The service was nice, up until the end where they charged me more for the services then they repeated to me on the phone a week earlier. I booked a body wrap with them and a massage, and I asked the girl how much it would be. She told me a specific amount ,and I repeated back to her (not only the amount, but the services as well). I received the services I booked, but they ended up charging me more than the amount they told me on the phone. I had all of my money counted out and ready. Then they had the nerve to accuse me of not paying attention and hearing what I want to hear. They were EXTREMLY RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS. Some of you may be thinking I did not account for the tip, but I assure you I already had. The worker there messed up and would not admit to it.....HORRIBLE place...I would not recommend it. One can get better service at many other spas in town!!!

My sister and I went her during spa week--I got the deep pore cleansing facial and she got the massage. They were quite good. Selena gave me good facial. I did come back for a second time about a month afterward and had another facial done by another person. She was ok too. However, as some of the reviewers had said, the place was not quite "spa-like" --a bit noisy from the street below. And I felt like they try too hard to sell you their products. But all in all, I was happy with the services and would come back.

I was so annoyed at my treatment at this spa that I took the time to join CitySearch. My initial contact in the morning was with a receptionist who took until 5 p.m. to determine whether an appoinment was available. I was about to call another spa when she finally called. The practitioners were fine, but I was situated in the room immediately next to the street. I was about to ask that the rather loud "soothing music" be turned down when I realized that the volume was up in an attempt to distract from the backup whistles, emergency vehicle sirens and general street noise below. It was impossible to relax! As I was preparing to leave the room, I stopped to put on eye liner when the owner entered abruptly, grabbed my purse and said the room had been overbooked and hustled me out! She smiled while scolding my daughter for not wanting to buy their products. ~ New in Town

This place has the best brazilian in Boston. Having been waxed at Bliss NY for many years, I was accustomed to a quick, sanitary wax that was as painless as a wax can be. When I came back to Boston, I tried a half dozen places based on user reviews and referrals from friends. I found places that double dipped the stick (one place that left the stick in the wax after I was done) and most experiences were very unpleasant due to the quality of the wax. I never got in growns before and I was getting them every time and found out later this is mostly caused by bacteria...great. I visited Spa Newbury based on their website and they were great. It was less painless and they used a new stick with every dip. It was relatively quick but not too quick that she left any stray hairs. They are pretty expensive ($75) and their cancelation policy is tough but I would not go anywhere else in Boston for my wax again.

I took my boyfriend there for his birthday to get the Men's Spa Special, which in retrospect is too pricy. He did not enjoy it, the message therapist was too gentle and his manicure looked horrific, they didn't even cut his cuticles or cut off dead skin. I could've done this for him myself. The "Spa" looks like a big restroom, and I basically wasted my money. The room he was in was so tiny, there was no room for movement. The entrance was so unattractive, I wish I had drove to location and checked it out before I took him there.

I went there recently for an open house and they gave me a makeover treatment. Everthing was looking good until the girl put some "blush" on my cheeks. All of a sudden my face was burning hot and I look in the miror and my cheeks started to get red and sting and puff up like I'd been stung by a jelly fish.

I looked over at what she had put on my cheeks and it was lip plumper! So the spa owner put me in another room to wash my face. In the meantime, she went to ask the girl what happened. My friend was there and overheard her tell her boss what she had done, but when the spa owner came back to the room she told me it must have been a reaction to something else. Bullsh*t.

On top of that, I won a free treatment there through a raffle: a spray tan. The spa owner called me 2 weeks later and said they won't give me the prize! Her excuse was that she was worried I would react to the chemicals in the spray tan. I told her I would only have a reaction if they sprayed me with lip plumper. And then I told her that I knew she had lied to me and wasn't happy about it. Rather than apologize and offer me something else, she hung up on me!

For the sake of the health of your skin, please don't waste your money on this overpriced Spa Newbury when there are so many other quality places right next door for less. The girls there are sweet but very dumb and they don't really know what they're doing and the owner is outrageous. Go somewhere where you know your money will be well spent and your face won't be on fire...

you mention Spa Newbury as one of the best spas out there but in reality from my own experience I think that the customer service in that place could be much more improved.

This is my story:

Even though the staff members do an excellent job. They have very poor customer service skills. After using their services twice before, I called to cancel an appointment a day before due to family emergency, I was told not to come back again to the place. I was called irresponsible and pretty much hung up on. It was not a pleasant situation. Some politeness and customer service would have been essential here. They have lost me and my partner as a customer. That is for sure.

I have heard many other stories like this one from former customers of the specific spa that I would be willing to share if you guys are interested in a story like that.

This place was TERRIBLE!! The girl that did my facial was lovely... too bad she's at this place. Check out the cancellation policy -- 48 HOURS (twice what the better salons require). Also, they give you the HARD sell on products, and the lady at the desk actually called AND emailed me to tell me it was rude that I did not buy products!! Plus, the specials on their website are a sham... once you get there, you find out that you have to pay full price because the specials are only actually (fine print!) for a certain set of existing clients! But, you cannot even cancel at that point, because they will charge you!! Small space, not that well maintained, and terrible management. Too bad for the estheticians... i hope bella sante picks them all up!!

I dropped into spa newbury with no appointment late in the afternoon, after being told there were no openings at my original spa destination. They took me in right away, even though they were in the middle of an event, and I got the most amazing deep tissue massage. I rarely get massages and spa treatments for myself, so I was a little aprehensive walking in, but I left feeling AWESOME. Tina, (the woman who took care of me) was so skilled, and found areas of tension that I had been living with forever, some that I didn't realize had been there until she located them. The staff took a few minutes to warm up, (they seemed a little distracted and distant when I walked in) but I think that may have been a side effect of all the action gonig on with the event they were holding. All in all, a positive experience.

I am not from the area and I was still treated like I was the most important person in town. These girls really know how to roll out the red carpet. I booked my day at the spa because my hotel (that I am staying at until I get my apartment) would not allow an early check-in. I had several hours to burn without sleep so what better way to spend Boston's housing shortage than at a spa? I had the works and everything from the massage to my nails to the facial and all of their skin care products were tremendous. I was served tea and snacks and pampered all throughout my treatments. They have a very large spa menu but I stuck with the more traditional services. I had three different staff members and all of them were equally fantastic. These girls were a great savior in a real time of need. Thank you very much for such a beautiful and needed day.

I just attended a party at Spa Newbury last Thursday eve. They were celebrating their expansion and grand reopening. I went with a couple of girlfriends of mine who are clients and love this place. That is how we got the invitation. These people really know how to put on a party and treat their clients. Their facility is gorgeous. I had a foot soak in one of their new pedicure chairs that floats up and down and a chair massage. Both were out of this world. Can't wait to be back! With friends!

Pros: Nice facility. Friendly Staff. Great service. Clean and well organized.

We find new spas with spa week. Spa Newbury was new this year so we tried it. GREAT FIND. They had more services than anyone else and they also extended those specials for the whole month. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and excellent at their specialities. They had something like 4 or 5 skin care lines to choose from. They effortlessly went overboad. We left with loads of samples and free stuff. Our services were incredible. My friends and I argued about who had the best therapist - it was that good. Perfect place for girly girl parties. Extremely accomodating.

We spent $150 plus tip per person and enjoyed three quite different spa services which lasted more than two hours in total. Spa manicure was almost an hour, half hour back neck and shoulder massage made my back feel incredible and a 30 minute express facial which was done in a massage chair and only prolonged the effects and results from the massage I Had just had from the therapist. We tried to upgrade to a full spa facial but they did not have the availability - they were sold out. I will definitely be back for the full spa version. I wish the express facial was longer but have to say - I got what I paid for if not more. Tina and Kristen were especially helpful and the owner was actually there/present and had all of our services nicely coordinated and running smoothly. If you have short money but want a nice or good variety spa experience you can get it here. Enjoyable A+++

This place IS the best. They have the best skin care, the best massages, the best manicures and the best pedicures. My pedicure was an hour. My manicure was almost an hour. AND I got a full 60 minute massage and hour long facial. Exactly what I paid for. Quite refreshing. My girlfriends and I love to spa but often come up disappointed when we go to Newbury Street. They made us to happy and were so accomodating - I'm surprised we were even able to get in or have appointments. They are very very busy on Saturdays. When we go back it will definitely be during the week.
