In ShortSally O'Brien's extensive menu includes everything from sizzling Mexican fare to dozens of sandwiches and burgers. An ideal spot to watch a game, the bar features several TVs, including a 42-inch plasma. Live music with no cover is featured nightly on Thursdays through Mondays (free Texas Hold 'Em games are held on Wednesdays). Live music, great food, No nonsense

Sally O'Briens has Live Music (and heres the important part) with NO COVER six nights a week! I've seen some really outstanding music down there. The bar food is top notch and the prices are less than most places. They have an outstanding pint of Guinness and the place had no pretentiousness about which I think I enjoy the most. Good bar, good music, good people.
Pros: Great Music, Great Guinness, Great People
Cons: Construction on Somerville Ave is a drag sometimes

Cool Hangout!

My first time here, there was a band called Tokyo Tramps playing. They rocked @ this really cool/chill/nice Irish bar. You could stand around the bar and hng out if you wanted or you could have a seat and order some food. Either way, you'd be chillin' to some cool live music. By the end of the night, and with enough drinks, we decided to dance and it was so much fun! Even though there isn't really a dance floor or anything, it wasn't weird to dance in front of the "stage" and everyone just had so much fun! Jen mangaes the bar and she's awesome!!
