To most Americans, the phrase "bigger is better" applies even to our museums. The Smithsonians are vertiable castles, and most museums in New York are nothing less than massive. That is why I adore the Harvard museums. They are quiant, tiny, and can entertain/ teach for as little as a few hours or for as long as a whole day. Not to mention, the admission is low, and you get to see truly antique museum pieces, as all of the museums are on the "deligtfully old" side.

This museum is WONDERFUL, as it is across the river in cambridge, never has too many people attending, but has a wealth of information that only Harvard could offer. On Sundays in the morning it's absolutely free (perhaps just for students), and the rest of the day on Sunday it's only a few dollars. The insects and stuffed mammals are well worth the trip across the river!
