Had the best experience getting my clothes washer repaired. From the intitial phone contact, which was friendly, informative and helpful to the repair person coming within 3 hours, part in truck, machine fixed in a few minutes and did not find the cost too high. I would highly recommend them!

Best Service I ever had. Called them yesterday morning and my Washer was up and running by afternoon. They were very polite. An older gentleman came out and really seemed to know what he was doing.
I will use them again when I need them.

As a partner in this business, I would first like to thank those customers who have posted kind reviews. People are much more likely to post reviews when they are upset, so the effort to post good reviews mean that much more. Thank you!

I would also like to respond to the negative reviews. I wish I knew who these people were to address them individually.

The biggest reason for delayed repairs is getting parts from the manufacturer. Parts usually arrive within 1 to 3 business days. Our company policy is to say just that. Parts are never "promised" as there are factors outside our control such as availability from manufacturers and distributors, and delivery issues. If we are informed that a part is backordered then we inform the customer.

Some manufacturers have completely separate inventory available for retail customers that businesses like ours can not access. So people get very understandably upset when the manufacturer says they can get a part right away while we tell the customer it is on backorder. It makes us look bad and is equally upsetting to us.

We have never "refused" to repair an item. That is just not true.

Our prices are based on what it takes to stay in business and are below national averages. Repair prices have nothing to do with the price of an appliance. We can't charge $30 for a repair like we did 15 years ago. A $250 washer is probably not worth fixing, so you replace it instead of calling for service. Same thing with $50 vacuums. However, most appliances are worth repairing, especially the older ones that were better made, built in units, and more expensive appliances.

We are licensed, insured professionals with a fleet of trucks, keep a huge inventory on hand, and pay taxes, unlike the amateurs who try to do this on the side. The costs of running a legitimate business are very high.

As far as the comments that we are not friendly, I take offense at that. I used to run the office and now my husband does. He is one of the most patient people I know. I have heard him get flip with irrational people who come in angrily ranting and raving, taking out their lives frustrations on him, but that is rare.

I sound defensive because I am. We are honest and hard-working, and make every effort to serve our community to the best of our ability.

And yes, I rated my own business with 4 stars. We are not perfect, but we try to attain that goal. And we usually come pretty darn close.

I have been around to see them go from a home run business to one of the larger stores in downtown Athol. My Miele vacuum was purchased there and I just love it. Over the years I have sent many of my friends and family to see Jim and his wife.

This is the worst company and ruins the phrase "buy local". I bought an new Oreck vacumn that broke down within the first year. They have had it 2 weeks, refuse to fix it, don't return phone calls and now I must pick it up still broken.
The service is incomprehensible!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Cost of service call 1/3 of dishwasher. Over a month of calls and to not have parts delivered. Called manufacturer 3 to 7 day delivery. If you need timely service do not use. Over priced and lied about parts in a warehouse on follow up call stated parts were not ordered.

I called to have my dryer fixed and they came the next day. They checked it out, went back to the store for the part (yes they already had it) and fixed it that day! What a relief, the laundry was hanging all over the house drying! Thanks for the help.Will call again if I need a repair.
