I received a mysterious charge on my debit card for $79.77 from Allen Daniel Associates in Waltham. I never authorized any such transaction. I never even heard of Allen Daniel. So, I called them up and they didn't know who I was either. They couldn't locate me by name or phone number in their accounts. Interesting. Then they asked for my SSN! No thanks.
I moved on to my bank to dispute the debit. They said that my debit card itself (16 digit number) was actually used. Wow! I should really start shredding my receipts. So my bank reversed the charge and issued me a new debit card. Hopefully that takes care of that.

Pros: they were pleasant enough on the phone with me

Cons: either not thorough enough or dishonest in practices - I'm not sure if a client or their own employee used by debit card info

The first conversation i had with representative of these company happened 8:30 am on Saturday morning. He was extremely rude, rude, rude, and unprofessional. He claimed that i own money to Fidelity and had no attention what i had to say. It is not possible that i own the money to Fidelity. I have no business with them! The person hang up on me while i was trying to say that and was rude, rude, rude. I was trying to get ## and complain. My local phone company-- could not track the call. Then I've started researching the internet and returned the call. I've got them. And this time I've explained that it'd like to complain on a way i was treated by their representative on 8:30 on Saturday. Then they promised me that the representative will call me back and apologize . Like is that going ever happen? I'll get my words back if it ever will. They promised to call Fidelity and find out the Details. OH>>>>>
What is going on? Does it mean that anyone can rue your credit history stating that you own them money and get away with it? They for sure should be abusing the law.
I do not trust them and will dispute any deeds to Fidelity and sent it by FAX to both of them. Now my weekend is in sh... b y this .... oh..

The representatives at this agency are rude, rude, rude, and extremely unprofessional. If these people contact you, HANG-UP. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! They will attempt to collect an amount higher than the amount that may be due. Do not deal with these rude, unhonest people. Instead, contact the agency or organization that referred your name to them and clear matters up with them. These people will lie and call you names (a Mr. Riley called me irresponsible).

If I could give this company negative stars I would. As in my case, not every account sent to a collection agency is the result of someone trying to skirt his or her obligations. After being called names and being treated extremely rudely, I contacted the agency that had sent my name to this unprofessional collection agency. I found that The Allen Daniel Associates, Inc. was trying to collect an amount that was higher than the amount actually due.

Again, if these people try to call you, HANG-UP. DO NOT deal with these people. You will regret it.

I got a bill from them but I knew it was a misunderstanding. I moved my gas service and thought my $100 balance would have transferred over to my new address but it didnt. I called immediately after getting my 1st bill and tried to explain. The guy representing this company said he didn't care and kept interrupting me saying "MasterCard or Visa??". He treated my like I wasn't going to pay it. I gave him my number but I wanted to know if this little misunderstanding was going to affect my credit and he kept interrupting me asking me for a phone number where I could be reached if my credit card wouldn't go through. I felt like a second class citizen. It was awful!!
