Easy location although parking can be tricky. Great atmosphere with young, talented, friendly, well supervised staff. They are accommodating and I really like the owner's concept in bringing talented, young professionals ...have never had a bad hair cut and have the best color I have ever had...they nailed it!

I can't tell you how Happy I am with my experience at your Salon. In all my years of having my hair done (trust me it's been many years) I have NEVER experienced anything like it. From start to finish it was AMAZING.

Sandy did a super job on my color and Mellie my cut , and I look awesome; I've never looked this good. Where have you guys been hiding?

Just a side note... my cut is stupendeous, this gal Mellie really knows her sh#* when it comes to cutting!

I am so glad I walked in to Mellie Hair Salon....I am looking forward to a long relationship with your staff.........don't change a thing! Mellie you've got it going on!

I have already called my family and friends and told them about my wonderful experience last evening...looking forward to my next visit. I can't wait for the weekend to Show off my new do!!!!

Hello,

I've been to Mellie's about five times in the past year and a half and visited about four different hair stylists. I just called again today and was told that the last stylist I saw was gone too. Does anyone have any recommendations about the women that are still there? I'm getting pretty disappointed with having to see a new person each time I go and am considering trying some place else.

Pros: a trendy and modern edge to the place

Cons: stylists keep leaving!

Went here for the first time last week and have finally found "the one!" I moved to Boston a little over a year ago from Texas and have had the hardest time finding a salon - not in the city - that really caters to you and is up to date with the newest hair styles and techniques.
I went to Mellie (owner) for a cut, color and highlights and it turned out perfectly. I also asked for advice on shampoos and conditioners and I did not feel pressured to buy products (I did anyway) and that was a refreshing approach.
I love the massage shampoo chairs and the staff is very nice. The prices are reasonable considering it is in Milton and the stylist there are very good! When I made an appt, they were up front about the costs of my services and I knew exactly what I could expect. It's very unusual to find a place like this outside of the city.

Pros: Beautiful Salon, nice, friendly atmosphere, talented staff

Cons: parking is tough, though not impossible

I have been a faithful client of Mellie Hair Salon for 2 yrs.now,but i am getting tired of the stylist turn over.Almost 2 mos.ago i called for an appt with Erin,and all they would say was she is no longer working here.I saw Coco before Erin and the same thing happend.Well.this time i took it upon myself to call around and find Erin.On a whim i called her old salon and she was there!i am so excited,i have an appt tomorrow.I'm not a fan of changing stylist's so even though i liked Mellie's i'm sticking with Erin.

Pros: they serve wine

Cons: a little stuck up,and too much gossip for my taste

Well first i must say that i am a little BIAS When it comes to JACKIE at Mellie's hair salon she is not for a better word my baby sister!!! And i have been to a lot of stylists and i must say hands down that she is the best!!! "You know how they say you should never let a family member cut your hair because they will get you back for every thing you have ever done" i trust her 100% she takes the time to talk to you and ask what YOU WANT and doesn't just go ahead and start cutting with out getting your input .and for being my sister that says a lot cause she could just do what she wanted and thats that but she is great not only with cuts but her colors and foils are perfect and she makes it look so effortless..you walk in looking like the old you and come out new and improved... She has the best personality and loves to chat while doing your hair it's the best place to go for a color,foil,cut or just a wash and style she also does makeup and it comes out looking flawless and professional!!!!!!!so if you go to Jackie or if you already have get the word out..i must say the parking is so so but i do love that there is a coffee shop around the corner and the neighborhood is clean and this salon couldn't be in a better place.And like i said i know I'm Bias but i will recommend JACKIE anytime to anyone she really knows what she's doing and you will have a great experience and walk out looking fantastic and feeling like a a million bucks so if your in Milton and in need of a CUT.COLOR, OR FOIL give Mellie's a call and ask for an appointment with Jackie you will love it and will not regret it.

I'm kind of a haircut flake. I've never had the same person cut my hair twice...until April. I'd never trust anyone else! Every time I go, the cut is different, edgy, and totally me. Jackie is the greatest and will help adapt trendy styles to your face and personal taste.

I had been growing my hair for a while to donate to Locks of Love. I'm new to the area and hadn't been to a hair salon since moving to Braintree. I looked online and found that Mellie's had gotten good reviews. So I made my appointment for a cut and highlights with Erin. I went in without a picture or really any idea about how I wanted my hair to look. I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten since then. The cut is great and the highlights are perfect. I even had a discount coupon for being a new customer. I now have a new salon and have recommended Mellie's to all of the women at work. Thanks for my new look! I also would like to comment on how accommodating they were while I was waiting, they even took me early; on a Sunday during a storm.

I went to Mellie's for a wash/cut/blowdry. I wanted a specific haircut (A-line) and needed advice about what to do with my bangs. I've been to many salons and no one has ever cut my bangs to my liking. I saw Erin at Mellie's and not only was she sweet and easy to talk to, but she was confident and knew exactly what I wanted. I found myself relaxing and not being stressed out over whether or not I'd be satisfied. The salon is sort of small, but I found it to be a very relaxing, comfortable atmosphere that made for a positive experience. Also, their prices were extremely reasonable. The designers are willing to listen to you and cater to your individual needs, and offer advice and tips on how to style your hair at home. As an added bonus, it is literally right off of the expressway and parking is pretty ample. I have already recommended this place to all of my friends!!!

Pros: Experienced, educated staff that are willing to listen and work with your ideas

Cons: The salon is a little small, but not cramped.

I just want to say that I've tried more hair stylists than you can ever imagine over the years and have NEVER, and I repeat, NEVER been satisfied by any of them. That is until I tried Mellie at Mellie Hair Salon in East Milton Square last week.
She gave me the cut and highlights that I have been dreaming about forever. I have received nothing but compliments.
She is sweet, friendly, very confident, and willing to listen to how you want your hair to look. Best part is she can execute her plan. All the staff looked stylish and professional, and everyone there is friendly and wonderful, from the front desk staff to the people who wash your hair. The shampoo head massage is just the best! Great coffee too.
I will return to Mellie over and over.

I absolutely LOVE Mellie Hair Salon, and I owe that all to Mellie. She's a Master Stylist, and even that title does not even come close to an accurate description of her level of skill and expertise.

This boutique salon will surprise you. Mellie, the owner, really should be on Newbury Street charging $150.00+ per cut. But she's here in Milton, for us, charging very modest prices for a cut that you will not believe. She is amazing...I have never had so many compliments on my hair - ever. She is always willing and excited to try new things when I am up for it, yet she's awesome about the "just a trim" days too.

She completely understands what my hair will do and what I won't, and always has a nice long conversation whenever I want to do something that she thinks might not work the way I think it will (i.e. I have a terrible cowlick in the front, yet am always yearning for short bangs!). I love her, I am always so excited the week before my appointment, and I would NEVER go anywhere else in Milton, or even greater Boston for that matter Also, she is never pushy about products, but always has the best suggestions when I ask for them.

Mellie Hair Salon is a treasure, and I love it. If you live anywhere near Milton and travel anywhere else for a cut, you are wating time, gas and sacraficing quality. This salon is the best!

Pros: skill of stylists & colorists, location, prices, value

Cons: it's a bit small and crowded
