The servers at this restaurant are very attentive and make good suggestions. The food is excellent, authentic, and served as generous portions. The prices are unbelievable - great value.

I am a vegetarian South Indian who travels a great deal on business. When I am dining alone on my travels, I often look for Indian and/or vegetarian places to eat locally. Invariably, I am dissappointed. The menu in Indian restaurants, both veggie and otherwise, is usually nondescript, the food forgettable and the service indifferent.

I happened upon Mysore Veggie quite by accident. I was blown away by the quality of the food as well as the exemplary service. The evening that I went (a Tuesday) they had a special on unlimited dosas from the menu. Usually quality suffers when quantity is on offer. To my pleasant surprise, the dosas (I tried three different kinds) were all excellent. The host and owner, Arif, was extremely helpful and courteous. He made recommendations when asked but did not push his opinions. The dosas were uniformly among the best I have had in North America. The vadais that he started off with were hot off the frying pan and delicious. What a jewel of a place!

This is definitely a place I will be returning to next time I am in this general area. It is worth a detour and more.

We tried a number of South Indian dishes served here - idli, wada, and dosas. We liked the food a lot. The dosas were huge and crisp - just like we like it. The chutneys were good too. However, the sambar was not very good. It was thin, lacked vegetables and initially served cold. However, once we requested it to be warmed up - it was then served hot. They did not have a number of dishes because they had already started shutting down the place even though it was near 9:30 p.m. and they close at 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The service was efficient and friendly. I would recommend this place - just make sure that you go at least an hour before closing time to ensure that you get all the items on the menu.

Pros: Good South Indian food

Cons: location - pretty far from Boston
