Fantastic club. The instructors are aspiring gymnasts who have taken lessons for years. They can teach the children the right way to land a jump so less likely of a chance of injuries occurring, the right poses for judging in competition and how to work as a team. The owner is a former competitive gymnast and graduate of UNH, you cant find a better director who also cares so much about these kids. Their classes are set up into age groups so everyone learns the same things and yes that mean starting with the basics. They all take turns, no one gets to do more in a class than the next. If you do good, you can advance sooner than others, no one is held back and there are many levels to aspire to. To be a "Star" gymnasts you must work hard and learn over many years, it doesn't come in one season of classes. The outstanding kids as was mentioned by Karen is a crazy quote as they are all outstanding, the higher level kids practice later in the evening by a higher level instructor- as it should be. The "Team" is at competitive level. The rest of the kids get to perform in a show at the end of the year that they are so proud of and you can clearly see the difference and progression from these children as they progress and advance in levels. As far as the money, it is reasonable. You get to make up a class if you have to miss one which I think is great so no one misses what they taught that week. No one that I know of offers this. No other facility around, that I have seen, takes as much pride in their students and teaching them the right way to learn a sport. Maybe Karen's granddaughter is just not cut out to be a gymnast.I give my daughters a choice every year about what sports to try and they pick gymnastics yearly- I work full time so the variety in class times are great for me.

woah, woah, woah, Karen. How could you think of the gym like this? The staff cares equally about their students. And the reason the staff is made up of older High school students is because their good and they'll teach the students good. I go here every summer for the summer camp and I think the staff is great and I love going there. Well my opinion is, Meridian all the way!!!

Also, Meridian won an award for business of the year so I wouldn't be talking.

My granddaughter took gymnastics training at this facility for many years. Unless you were a star gymnast (which most kids aren't), you got the basics. Much attention was paid to the outstanding kids, but not to the average ones. The prices were pretty steep also. Not much for the $. The staff was mostly made up of older students in High School. Every now and then you'd see a real instructor around. I'd really look around for another facility.
