Little Children Schoolhouse

LCSH is fantastic. My son went through their pre-k program. The teachers are amazing, and he is completely prepared for kindergarten. In fact, he is already reading and I would like to say I had something to do with that but it was all them. My daughter will transition to the preschool program in the fall. They are truly like family, and I wholeheartedly recommend their programs.

Our son has been at Little Children Schoolhouse since he was 2.5 months old, and is now 10 months, so he has been in both the young infants and older infants classrooms. I cannot say enough about how happy we have been with this daycare. The teachers are so warm and loving to the kids, and it is a highlight of my day to interact with them when I drop him off. They just always seem to have the right priorities - the kids first - but they also show genuine concern for the parents feelings. I'm a new parent, and I sometimes have brain freeze moments or get stressed out, and the teachers are always so patient with me...it makes me think that they must also be very patient with the kids. They have helped us establish good routines for our son with their suggestions for us, but they are never overbearing. It just seems like everything they do is in an effort to make his life better. It's really nice, too, that the teachers from all the levels make an effort to get to know all the kids by name and interact with them as they pass them in the hall or go on their outings to the park - it made the transition between classes go very smoothly. I am so happy we found a good daycare so that I can do my work without worrying about whether my son is in a warm, caring environment during the day.

Little Children's School House is great place to leave your kid in, and it is a great place to be if you are a kid...
We just relocate to the Boston area one year ago. Both of us had full time jobs from day 1, so we looked for a day care that can start as early as 7:30 and have long hours (up to 6pm).
Our younger son is 5 years old, and when we arrived he didn't know any English AT ALL. We were concern about how he will handle the stressful situation, how he will communicate with the other kids, how he will survive the long days at the class, and how he will react to the weather...
Well, the weather is the only issue that those great, talented and sensitive teachers at the Little Children's School House couldn't resolve (even though they did their best)... He adjusted immediately, the stuff was very warm and friendly, and the atmosphere in the classroom was fantastic. We were shocked by the way our kid was happy to go to the class in the morning, and how many new and interesting things he learned while he was there. Even when there was a conflict between one of the kids and our son, the stuff handles that with respect to both sides, and a lot of sensitivity to the situation and to the kids.
I want to specifically say "a big thank you" to our stuff at my son's class - Karen and Loren - these intelligent and hard worker (you should see all the works and the projects that we get every day from our son) teachers make together the perfect teaching team by bringing up to the table their own best talents and a lot of enthusiasm and educational abilities.
Last, but not least, are the amazing sisters, Gladys, who runs the place in the highest standards available (you should see the classes, packed with new and challenging stuff, and you should definitely take a look at the clean and well-maintained bathroom), and the warm, sensitive, approachable and wise Lissy, whom we had the honor to see as a teacher and as an educational consultant and manager, and definitely was our personal safety net. She is the perfect combination of your "dream day care teacher" with the warm smile and trusty and smiley eyes, and your dream "EQ teacher" with her way to follow up any kid in the class (ask her to show you the folders and the albums...) and to push him above and beyond his abilities - while he is having FUN...
I love Little Children's School House! For us, as working parents, and as new-comers - It was a life saver!

Our son, now 7 months, has been at the Little Children Schoolhouse since he was 3 months old. We have loved this school from the beginning, and feel so thankful that he can be in such a kind, loving, and nurturing environment. We are continually impressed with the quality of care, the individual attention each child receives, and how much he has flourished in the last four months. Making the transition back to work is difficult, but it has been made exponentially easier by the staff at Little Children Schoolhouse.

Both of my children have loved Little Children School House. My son went there starting in 2005, when he was three, and continuing through 2007. He was a challenging little boy, and they did wonderful things for and with him. My daughter started at Little Children Schoolhouse in 2007, when she was 6 months old. She has been loved and nurtured there for the past two and a half years. She loves going to school, and comes home singing songs (in both Spanish and English) and telling us all about the activities she participates in. Some of her favorite times are yoga class, music class, library time, special Friday movies, and circle time. We also hear about her field trips for days after them, especially the trip to the puppet show and apple picking. The staff are loving, kind, and well equipped to help children learn how to be successful in school and social settings moving forward.

Little Children Schoolhouse is simply an extension of our family. The staff is exceptional. They clearly love their jobs and the children in their care. From the exuberant, warm and loving infant room teachers to the kind, gentle yet firm teachers of the pre-school, we are confident our sons' days are fun, safe and enriching. We are tremendously grateful for the consistent and outstanding care Little Children Schoolhouse provides our family.

We couldn't be happier with Little Children Schoolhouse. Our daughter absolutely loves it - we always find her smiling and laughing at the end of the day. The teachers in the infant room are loving and cheerful. They clearly enjoy all of the children in their care.

The Little Children's Schoolhouse feels like an extended family where children are nurtured and supported. The programs for infants up to pre-K are engaging and loving - this is not maintenance daycare. The staff clearly love their jobs working with young children.
