I especially appreciate Dr. Walk as he has been for me an expert diagnostician. He was able to solve a painful tooth area quickly and efficiently. Most of all, Dr. Walk's kindness, availability during an emergency plus his concern after a procedure has made him the perfect dentist for me. He as well as his office staff has made going to the dentist a good experience.

If you want the people "helping" you to yell at you? This is the dentist for you.

My dog ate my retainers (sounds like a bad excuse for missing homework, I know), and I called the dentist's office to order a replacement set. I asked that the retainers be sent directly from the company to my house, since I've moved across the country. No problem, according to them.

Everything was fine until I got a call several weeks later on a Monday morning asking if the address taped to the order is where the retainers were to be shipped, because the retainers had been mailed to the dentist's office. When I asked why they hadn't been sent to me, the tech replied that the retainer company wouldn't allow that. No apology for the confusion, just fact. So I told her that yes, that was the address, and asked when could I expect them. She said Thursday, but I could pay for FedEx shipping if I wanted them overnight (just FYI, this runs in the neighborhood of $85). I said no, just please mail them via USPS as soon as possible.

As of Friday, I had received nothing, so I called the office (which is "open" until 5pm ET). Everyone had left for the day (prior to 5pm), so I left a message asking for a phone call back. When I received a call back on Monday (6am central time!), I got nothing but justifications of what was happening - no sympathy, no apologies, no suggestions. And I was interrupted repeatedly as I attempted to ask questions to find a solution for my problem. All I was told is "I'm sure they'll be there today." This is day 7 of waiting for the retainers from the dentist's office after 2 weeks of waiting for the company to make and deliver them.

Now it's eight days later, I call again to ask that the retainers be re-ordered and shipped with some sort of tracking to me. Again, no sympathy or apologies, I'm told that I have to wait 15 days for them to order another set of retainers and I'll have to pay for both shipping and the 2nd set of retainers. What makes this a double slap in the face? When I say that won't work, my teeth are moving every day undoing the work that they've done and nobody there seems to care, what I hear back is "I don't like your attitude." And then a barrage of justifications and insults like I've never heard in my life. Never have I been spoken to this way, and I was on the receiving end of customer complaints in the financial services industry for more than 5 years!

Bottom line: if you need any sort of compassion in your treatment, avoid this office like the plague. The staff here is more concerned with justifying their own behavior and shifting the blame from themselves - including you, potential customer - than solving your problems.
