Gentle, intuitive, creative, personable, and kind; in Stephanie's hands you relax and get the care you can only dream about. She loves what she does and this shows in her work. I've never had so many compliments in my life as I've had

I had been to this salon many times before and never had any problem. I always came back happy. But this was my first time since the store had a new manager, Ms.Toy.
I made an appointment for a conditioning treatment, head massage, hair cut and styling. Since the salon manager, Toy was the only one available at that time, I had to make my appointment with her. I was also told that she is an expert (well, I still do not know if she is an expert). I walked in a few minutes before my scheduled appointment. After waiting for a little longer than my appointment time, Ms. Toy finally showed up. I explained to her what cut I want and she started the conditioning treatment first by washing my hair and putting the conditioner. She asked me to sit under the steam for 10 min and that she would massage my head in 10 minutes. I waited for 10 minutes but she did not come. She went outside spoke on the phone for a little while and then a gentleman walked in. She started cutting his hair. I waited for 25 minutes and still she did not come. When I went to ask her, she came and said that I had to wait and that she would stop his in the middle and come back to work on my hair in 5 minutes. She said since she is an Asian, she was being very nice by not rushing and making me wait more than 30 minutes when I was only told that I had to sit under the steam for 10 min only because I am an Asian as well. When I asked her if she thought it was professional to make a person wait during the person??s appointment duration and work on another person??s hair, she replied back very arrogantly that she does not care if it was professional or not and that in the past she had even worked on three people simultaneously. She said she would come back in 5 minutes. 15 minutes passed by and she still did not come. I was so helpless, I just did not know what to do. I could not walk out since she put conditioner on my hair. I went to her and said it was way past 5 minutes. She was very rude and started arguing with me. She just washed my hair without actually massaging, which she initially said she would do. She said she would neither cut not dry my hair. She just asked me to leave with wet hair. When I went to ask another stylist if she would dry my hair, Ms. Toy started speaking and said that the other girl was very busy and that I should just leave. She started making fun of me and laughed at me. I obviously could not walk out with wet hair. When I started blow drying my hair myself with the dryer that was on the table where I was sitting, she called the security. I spoke with the security and even the assistant manager of that mall and they said it was very bad for that woman to behave in that manner. They advised me to complain at the mall customer center and also to the actual owner of that salon. I spoke with the woman at the customer center and since the manager was gone for the day, she advised me to contact the mall office later. I am yet to see how the owner of the salon would react.
I truly do not recommend this salon to anyone. I was given an appointment, she started working on my hair, stopped in the middle and started working on another person??s hair. In spite of apologizing for the delay and her actions, she asked me to leave in the middle of my services with wet hair. She made me feel helpless and humiliated.
It was very rude and immoral for her to behave that way. I would have expected a salon manager to behave in a professional way.

I found Stephanie by getting a coupon in the mail from Regis and I will say I was skeptical because I never used a salon in the mall or went to a salon that was a chain, but decided I was tired of driving to the place I used to go since I moved here and gave it a try. I can honestly say I NEVER had a haircut/color done so awesome in my life. I have been going to her ever since (~3 years) AND here's an even better review - EVERYTIME I come home from seeing Stephanie my husband says something and has lOVED it too! She does a great hair cut, color, waxing and is such a warm and inviting person you don't mind getting all that done at once. I have also referred many people to her and they have all been just as happy as me!

I have also been told they are planning to renovate the salon, and that will be nice when it's done.

I love going in and just letting Stephanie do what she wants or try something new - no matter what; if I bring in pictures of ideas or I let her do what she feels will look good it ALWAYS comes out GREAT!

Pros: Easy to get to, open late because its in the mall, easy parking since they are located near Lord & Taylor, Great job every time, stylists seem nice and happy to work there, they offer waxing as well

Cons: The only thing I can think of is they do not offer manicures and pedicures

Ok... This may not apply to every stylist there... but I just got a hair cut, and I said I wanted one inch and the girl took off like 3 inches. Then I said with the angle around my face I only wanted the dead ends off, and that would leave the shortest piece around my chin, and now the shortest piece is at my cheekbone. I might as well have gotten bangs. Then there was a piece in the front that was apparently left out of the free for all chop shop because I have one little strand hanging in the front that is like 2 or 3 inches longer than the rest of it. Not at all what I wanted and not straight or even. One side is longer than the other. I want my 30 dollars back.

Pros: Um... the girl was nice?

Cons: The girl couldn't cut hair to save her life

This is a great salon with a nice relaxed friendly environment. All the staff are really nice and they actually "listen" to what you want. Much better than the other "downstairs" option in the mall. Myself and three friends all go to Regis and we always love our hair! The place itself is a little run down but staffers tell everyone that they are waiting to be remodeled for the new mall expansion at the Natick Collection.

Pros: friendly and talented staff....can usually get a last minute appointment

Cons: mall parking......all of the mall is under a major renovation
