I went to the Men's Wearhouse at the Emerald Square Mall with my fiance looking for tuxedos for our wedding. We found out about MW Tux rentals through a bridal show and they had a great deal, so after numerous phone calls from the company, we made an appointment to pre-order our tuxes. When we got there for our appointment, we were sent to the back of the store where the tuxes were and someone came over and plopped a binder of tuxedos in front of us and asked us what we wanted to order. This was our first experience looking for tuxes for our wedding and I thought it would be a much better experience than it was. The saleswoman was not helpful at all and it was disheartening to have to flip through pages of a binder to find what we wanted (with no direction from the saleswoman.) When I asked to see the vests, and I told her I wanted the groom to wear ivory, she asked me if that was the color of my dress. I'd say it's fairly common knowledge that brides like to keep all details about their dress a secret to their fiance, and to have this woman put me on the spot about my dress in front of my fiance was not acceptable. When she did hand us samples of the vests to choose from, they were once again just plopped in front of us and they were all so filthy. For the prices we would be paying for those tuxedos, we expected MUCH better customer service. They need to have someone who is knowledgeable about tuxedos there to actually help brides and grooms prepare for their special day. Needless to say, we did not order our tuxedos here and we will be looking for another place to order them.

I'm writing this for my father. He and his friend and friend's wife went to look for suits to buy. They had a buy one get one free sale.

The first part of this review is in regards to the Warwick, RI store.

My dad might not be the best dressed person, in fact, he's quite the opposite. He has his family buy his clothes and he'll just wear whatever as long as it has a front pocket in the shirt. He also, is so-so with his English. That is why he brought his friends with him who were born here. The sales person treated them all unsatisfactorily. He kept yelling at them when they were just looking at some sale rack items and yelled at my dad and said.... no no no that is not for you. This person also had an accent of his own so that didn't help. In the end, he ended up ditching them and going to help someone else. So my dad and his friends left quite disgruntled.

My fiance and I at a later date went with my dad to the North Attleboro store in Emerald Square Mall and was treated 110% better. Two salesperson helped as well as the tailor. They were quite friendly an patient despite it was closing time (I'm from out of state so, this was when we had to go).

The store manager went out of his way to help us feel comfortable about my dad's decision to buy a suit that resembles the tuxes that the my fiance had planned for our fathers. Apparently, there isn't much difference between a dress suit and a tux. They primarily use different accenting fabrics, but the styles are basically the same.
