this was by far the WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER USED. they dont even deserve the one star. I dont have enough room to tell all the things that went wrong but ill try to sum it up. Quoted me $1400 acutally charged me $2625, never informed me of the extra charge for tape, blankets, etc that they used in moving my goods, was told 3-7 days for delivery, actually was 10 BUSINESS days. Upon delivery movers didnt put the unassembled shelves back together, my childrens beds were put together half way...they left pieces needed to reassemble the bed on the floor next to the bed, and didnt screw the footboard on my daughters bed. My dresser was put in my room on its side, not even set on its legs, they left my box spring on the side of my house. I asked them to put all the boxes in the rooms in which they were labeled, which when i had to leave and my husband was there with my 5 year old, they just left all the boxes in the living/dining room. Also my bookcase was broken, to the point i can nolonger use it and they will not reimburse us for it. I filed complaints with the company and nothing was done. I have now filed complaints with BBB and will be seeking legal advice. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Worst experience of my life. They lied about everything they told me prior to booking my move. They delivered my things late. They broke several of my belongings.
But the worst was, the driver tried to demand $200+ from me for going up stairs, even though the contract states that up to the 3rd story is free (I'm on the 3rd floor). He was swearing at me and threatening me in my own home. After I refused to pay him and demanded he leave my apt or I would call the police, he threw his pen at me and demanded that I sign the papers then stormed out.
E-Z Movers has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. They should be ashamed that they have people working for them that would threaten someone and make them feel unsafe in their own home.

Held my stuff hostage at 9:00 at night until I gave them $400 cash! The driver said it was an additional carry fee and he wouldn't let me refuse even when I asked him multiple times to leave my belongings 75 feet from the truck (as is their policy), or just to take them off the truck.
It was the most horrific experience! I never write reviews and I feel so taken advantage of that I never want this to happen to anyone else! I would give them 0 stars if I could.
I chose this company initially, because I was really comfortable with their policies and everyone I talked to on the phone was really helpful and I thought I would be able to budget better since they charge by the cubic foot and not by the weight estimate. I really wish I had read some of the reviews on here and listened to them.
The driver arrived over 2 hours after me, after a one day, long distance move. This wouldn't have bothered me except I believe he did it because he knew that the office would be closed so I couldn't call to verify the additional charge he was imposing. I was in tears and had to drive around a new city at 9:00 pm searching for an ATM to take out $400 in cash. I feel completely taken advantage of. I was put in an unsafe situation and when I filed a claim with the company, they didn't take any corrective action.

I chose this company because of the cancer donations, and the responsiveness of the person with whom I spoke over the phone. The movers, while young, were very mature and professional. Words of advice for E-Z Movers, keep doing what you're doing. Buy more trucks so that a customer is not surprised when they don't see the in famous pink trucks. Other customers considering this company, I would say Do it! They're great!

What I liked most about them is that they were very professional and had great customer service. I was surprised that they had an earlier time available during the day of the move Use EZ movers, great work with packing and loading. Keep up the good work.

My experience with EZMovers has been a total "NIGHTMARE" I have had problem after problem with COMMUNICATION, PICK - UP, DELIVERY STATUS, UNDER QUOTING, ETC. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy!!! The under quoted me to gain my business and then don't want to fess up to it. I have filed a compliant with the BBB with them and found that they are rated a "F" for having over 138 bad reviews concerning customer service, delivery and etc. I wish i had done my homework and investigated this company before chosing them. I have gone on every site there is to file a bad review. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM EZMovers!!!

Beware hiring this company! I have several complaints regarding this company:
1. They got into an accident (their fault, I might add) with my stuff in their truck and broke two lamps. Not only where they unapologetic about the problem, but they charged me for the time that the truck sat around waiting to sort out their accident claims with the other driver and police!
2. They used a some tape during the move. I would estimate about 10 or so regular-sized rolls. This is the really cheap stuff - dollar store quality stuff. I got charged $150 for materials! $15 per roll? That's crazy!
If you are looking for a mover, look elsewhere!

You need to be really, really careful if considering using this company for a long distance move. Actually, you need to be insane to pick this company!
First, you do your own estimate. They charge by cubic foot, so once the packing/loading crew arrives, they may inform at that time that you underestimated. And the price goes up quickly, especially their crazy charges for packing tape and boxes. Everything is based on cubic footage, so you may end paying $700-1,000+ for a couple of hundred dollars worth of tape and boxes.
The packing and load crew were nice guys, but very unskilled in moving and spoke little English. Took them about 12 hours to load a small house. Very disorganized and they very obviously expected a large tip in cash which we did not give them (by the way, if you expect us to give them a tip, tell us BEFORE the move instead of giving me a form to sign AFTER pack/load to say they are expecting a 10-15% tip. Just did not have that much cash on me at midnight!!)
After we got to our new place, it took us several days and multiple calls/e-mails until we got confirmation of our delivery date. Amanda O. was very helpful in getting us a confirmation on 7/12 of a 7/14 delivery date.
The delivery crew showed up on time. Again, they spoke little English and the first order of business was to get my check for the balance and to sign the inventory forms as complete BEFORE they took anything off the truck.
It began very obvious that the packing crew either had no clue what they were doing or did a bad shop on purpose. While the furniture made it okay (minus several broken lamps), most of our household goods were dumped into wardrobe boxes. Including all of our hanging clothes (dresses, suites, dress shirts). All of which are wrinkled and dirty.
It is going to take at least a week to unpack and assess damages and it was heartbreaking to see our personal items treated like trash.
I have been assured by Amanda and Caroline that our damage claim will be processed in due course and per our contract, which probably means I will get $20 after months of paperwork and phone calls.
Of course, they have no local rep to assess the damages, so it will be our word against theirs, and we will lose. Actually, we lost the moment we signed up with this company, and the hits keep coming.
As a final insult, the crew refused to set up our entertainment center (gee, they took it apart!) or to pack out any of their trash. "Not in your contract" was the one English phrase they were very good at.
So, we made a bad choice with this group. Amanda O tries hard, but what can she do when the crews break and/or trash your stuff? She must have the worst job in the world - professional apologist for the world's worst moving company.
Save your stuff, your money, and your sanity - use ANYONE but E-Z Movers
Pros: Amanda O in the office is very nice
Cons: Damaged items, poor packing, horrible customer service
I just wanted to say that I used EZ Movers for my recent move and being a senior citizen, I didn't know where to start and finish, I was thinking who's going to help me. I was referred to EZ Movers from a friend who saw them at the Breast Cancer Race in Chicago. I called them and they gave me a big discount for being a senior and told me they would take good care of my things. I'm glad I listened to my friend, my move went wonderful and there was no damage and now i am comfortable. I am so happy, thank you.?
Pros: Best Movers in town
I relocated from Chicago to California. I've never done a long distance move so I was very nervous to pick movers. EZ Movers were GREAT! They arrived on-time and had me packed up in one hour. The truck wasn't supposed to arrive for 7-10 days. To my surprise they arrived in 5 days. They moved my stuff in about an hour and I didn't even hear them! They were great!!! I would highly recommend EZ Movers for a long distance move. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and genuinely nice.
Pros: Certified Consultants
Cons: Haven't had any.
I was recently lost my job and had to move back to my parents place. After extensive research, E-Z Movers provided the best price for there moving services. The sales rep I spoke with provided me with a basic plan for getting my stuff to my parents. They even included some boxes too!
Pros: Very efficient
Cons: Nothing
I used E-Z Movers after locating them on the internet. I'm happy that I did, the movers were friendly and very fast. The estimate they gave me was right what I was looking for. Great experience, they handled my furniture with special care. I would reccomend these guys to anyone looking for an excellent move at a very fair price. Excellent customer service.
Pros: Great Pricing
Cons: Can't Say
Here are the facts: (1) The movers were extremely sloppy. After they left, I counted about 20 problems (ranging from a chipped coffee table and 3 chipped armchair legs to a torn piece of furniture tied together with moving tape - so I wouldn't notice). (2) When I pointed out a few problems that I did notice, the foreman told me that I shouldn't worry. The company will take the damaged furniture and fix it. This was just a lie. I can tell you what happened in my case: I filled out an insurance claim on the E-Z movers webpage and I sent various emails with pictures of the damaged furniture. Then a few days later I received a letter by mail with the settlement figure: $36! (keep in mind that my furniture was over $15,000 new). This is a total joke! (3) The Customer Service is another joke. I called them for 3 days in a row, left messages, all to no avail. In the end, all they did was to send me to the Claims department. They couldn't care least about the customer. (4) The initial estimate ($425) had nothing to do with the final amount ($1075). Bottom line: If you've got any brains at all, do yourself a favor and find another moving company.
Pros: Arrived on time
Cons: Everything else
I moved many times in my life. This is an unbelievable bad Company. The representative will promise you many things till they pick up your furniture. After they pick it up you will be directed to their bad customer service (Long waits, leaving unanswered messages?.etc) for any questions or problems. Things are changed now they got you credit card and they really do not care.
You wait and wait for the arrival of your stuff they keep changing the arrival date without any explanation (now you are sleeping on the floor in the new place) (they changed the arrival date 3 times and the furniture arrived 10 days late. (The truck was full we could not fit you stuff, there was miscommunication but we will correct it tomorrow?.
I will be reporting them . You will be smart to avoid them
Pros: None
Cons: almost everything
