Wow! we were there for 3 days, bought a 3 day pass for $15 and rode all around! What a deal! It took us anywhere we wanted to go! We almost also just walked to a stop and walked on a bus. Wait was very minimal. We don't have public transportation in our town but we learned very fast how to use this. The maps on their web site were very helpful, we could map out our routes. We used the computer in our hotel's lobby.

Pros: Rarely a wait

Cons: always seem to be crossing the road to get to a bus!

Not sure if this is the right location to review, but it's a good spot for general CTA thoughts. The El is fun to ride, as long as it's not too packed. The best thing for the most part is that you know another one is coming. The busses don't run as regularly. Why do the busses always piggyback each other, leaving a long period of time between bus appearances? I would like to thank the CTA bus system for encouraging me to walk more. I've become quite fit as a result.

Pros: rapid transit, alternative to car, cost

Cons: crowds, bus reality
