DiVerde Dental Studio

Like most people, I'm not a big fan of locating a new dentist. I am a recent transplant to Chicago, and I needed to do just that. After a little research, I went to a dentist near the Water Tower in downtown Chicago. After a full set of X-rays and a normal cleaning, I was told I needed several fillings and a "deep cleaning" (whatever that is!). That seemed odd, because I don't normally have such problems.

I asked some friends for a referral so I could get a second opinion, and they recommended DiVerde Dental Studio (specifically, Dr. Emily Gallagher). I went to the office, and I was greeted by several very sweet, high-energy assistants.

After a few laughs and very short wait (I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment), I met Dr. Gallagher, who led me into her exam room. She actually took the time to clean my teeth HERSELF! Then she proceeded to tell me that I needed 2 filling replacements...barely...and that was it! Right off the bat, I appreciated her honesty and professionalism, because she knew I expected to hear much worse.

A few days later, I was back in the friendly office for the work. Dr. Gallagher was so kind during the procedure. She told me exactly what she was doing every step of the way. She even used a technique I had never heard of to minimize sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures...and you know what? It worked!

Anyway, I can't say enough. Thanks so much!

Cons: Nothing, except you have to get into downtown to see them...but once you're there, it's right next to Millenium Park. How great!

I have just ended my relationship with DiVerdi Dental Studio. As far as I can tell the dental work, cleaning etc is professionally performed, and I have no problems with their dental competancy. What I have a problem with is the staff, and the lack of respect for the dental patient. In particular I have 3 complaints. I have a problem with lying prone on the dental chair. When ever I start a dentist patient relationship, I indicate that the work can not be performed while I am in a prone position, yet repeatedly, when I come in to the Diverdi Dental Studio, the dental technician does not refer to the notes and immediately moves the chair to prone. Respect for the patient, would include checking for any instructions included in the patient information. The second problem occured when the technician asked me if I wanted a complete set of x-rays taken on a partial set taken, since in the past I had only had a partial set taken. I responded partial, and the technician ignored my response. Respect for the patient should include listening to the response. The third issue, is when the doctor recommended that I have some work done. He told me to go to the desk and review my treatment plan. I assumed that the treatment plan would include information about the treatment including what type of work was to be done and how many appointments would be necessary, and how much time each appointment would take. Instead, I was given a document with the cost of the treatment, and the request to sign off on the charges for the treatment. To me, this is not a treatment plan but a billing plan. Respect for the clientele would include describing a billing agreement as one, not as a treatment plan.

I will no longer go to Dr. DiVerdi, but have already booked an appointment with a dentist who is recommended for both her work and the courtesty of her staff. Hopefully courtesty includes respect for the patient, not just smiling and talking softly.

Pros: Downtown, convenient to public transportation. Nice view of Millenium Park.

I was referred to DiVerde Dental Studio and I was not disappointed. DiVerde is extremely helpful and friendly. I always receive friendly reminders in the mail. I would definitely recommend DiVerde!

I have been a patient of Dr. D's for more years than I care to remember. He and his staff are the best! Couldn't ask for better care - especially if you have an emergency. They'll fit you in the same day (somehow) so you don't have to wait until the next day - or, as some of my friends have complained about their dentist - the next week! Those friends are now patients of Dr. D.

I have been with DiVerde Dental Studio for 5 years and I would't trade them for the world. Dr. DiVerde is absolutely brillante and is very caring about his patients. The staff is very professional and just as good to work with. I would recommend them very highly.

I love Dr. DiVerdi! I've been going to him for about 8 years and I have always had a great experience--yes, even when I had to have a root canal! How many people can say that about their dentist? Also, the staff is always friendly and very helpful. I actually look forward to my 6 month cleaning. I highly recommend DiVerdi Dental Studio!

DiVerde -- specifically Dr. Gallagher -- perfoms cleanings, scalings, and general check-ups so effortlessly, you may forget you're at the dentist. (I've come close to falling asleep during treatment several times; that's how comfortable it is...)

I highly recommend them to anyone working downtown that needs a walking-distance dental office! And the staff is pretty cute too!

I never in a million years would have thought going to the dentist to be enjoyable. Dr. Diverde is the best. He is kind, gentle, funny and a great dentist to boot. I owe my smile to him.

Do not miss having your teeth cleaned by real professionals who care about your teeth and how you feel!
Rarely is dental treatment found like this. I would never consider going to anyone else. Dr. DiVerde is ther for you, not many dentists ever give the professional service and care found at this office. DiVerde Dental Studio rocks...and takes care of your teeth!

I have been a patient of Dr. DiVerde's for over 20 years. He and his staff are very caring and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. I can't imagine going anyplace else!

I have been going to Dr. Diverde's office for years and I always got the best treatment. I love how the Doc and his staff continue to move forward with cutting edge technology/devices. I have a very large bridge ... with no metal - perfect match (thank you Sabrina!!).

So if you are looking for a wonderful team of dentists with a great staff (did you notice how gorgeous they are?) who happen to be very nice - then Diverde's is where you should go.

I was so pleased and well cared for by Dr DiVerdi that I arranged to have my sister utilize his services and had her flown to Chicago from Laughlin, NV for her dental work. She was so taken by his skill and personality that she still claims "he has the hands of an angel."

As for myself, a trip to the dentist always triggered an anxiety attack. My visit was the first time in forty years I had work done which was stress free. If you need dental care, don't put it off because you're afraid. This office is stellar!

Outstanding!! I was referred to Dr. Gallagher a while back with high regards and she managed to exceed my expectations. I've finally found a dentist who really cares about your comfort. Dr. Gallagher took the time to explain my treatment needs in a way that was easy to understand. She also helped educate me on possible risks and benefits so I could make an informed decision.
I am extremely pleased with the service and will continue to go back even though I she is not affiliated with my insurance as a preferred doctor. The out of pocket expense is definitely worth the comfortable atmosphere and quality service!!
Thanks Dr. Gallagher for changing my perspective of dental experiences!

I saw Dr. Emily Gallagher and she was excellent. I have never had a dentist that was so thorough. She explained everything to me in a way I could understand. She was kind an considerate. As opposed to most dentists I have gone to, she did all of the work and cleaning herself. I have nothing but great things to say about my entire experience.

Dr.Diverdi and Dr. Sabrina Cinqui are hands down the best dentists I have seen...and I have seen a lot (I have moved around a lot and inherited really bad teeth.) We all know how awful going to the dentist can be, but Diverdi dental studio makes the experience a million times better. Upon entering the girls at the front desk are so nice & know you by name. The entire staff is always laughing smiling so that bad feeling you came in with immediately disappears. I have seen both Dr. Cinqui and Dr. Diverde and they are both thorough and explain what they are doing and why. Rather than telling me what I "NEED" to do; they always work with you and give you suggestions to achieve the best results for both cosmetic and restorative procedures. The office is beautiful and does not have that icky dentist smell. If you are looking for a new dentist or want a cosmetic procedure definitely go to Diverde Dental studio. They are amazing!

I usually don't like going to the dentist but this place is great. I saw Dr. Sabrina Cinqui (I think that's how you spell it) and she explained everything and made me feel so comfortable. The staff was really cool too and everything could not have gone smoother. I send everyone to this place.
