The food was tasty. The atmosphere gives you a down home feeling. There is an ice cream/candy shop attached. Prices are extremely reasonable.

This place has a great bakery. It's really a nice, clean place and the dining atmosphere is good. I love their ice cream. You can dine in or carry out. Their soups are very good too.

I love this place!

Monday's Soup of the Day, the Corn Chowder, warms heart and soul.
I frequently have Hilltop Salad with mixed greens, nuts, cranberries, blue cheese and a vinaigrette, My co-workers ask for it at potlucks.
I have to limit myself to one Turkey Panini per month or I would have them every day. It is sooooo Tasty!
My mother drives down from the North Shore for the Chipotle Meatloaf sandwich.
And the baked goods! Traveler's did my parent's 50th AND 51st Anniversary cakes, and several nieces' birthday cakes.
The Annual Christmas Cookie Walk is a crowd pleaser and life saver! A big assortment of homemade cookies which I can arrange on my own platters and gift trays....with no bowls and beaters to clean up after.
I also appreciate the WiFi connection so I can catch up on email, crunch some numbers, or check the news and weather during lunch.
I have observed several book clubs meeting there. Hmmm, someday.
Terry just started making omelettes on Sunday morning. Better than any I have had, excluding mom's, of course. :)
Thanks, Teri and Terry!
Keep of the great work!

Three strikes and you are out! I tried earlier in 2008 to get a cone of ice cream there--the server tried to make my cone from the crusty ice cream at the bottom of the container. When I protested, since she had another container, I promptly left and went to the ice cream shop down Cass avenue for a nice fresh chocolate cone that was cheaper than Travelers. Later in the summer my hubby and I went to try the cafe for dinner. Well, it sucked. The pastry on the pot pie was hard and not tasty, the food was bland. I stupidly tried this morning for the third attempt to try their breakfast pastry. I waited unrecognized for a few minutes while employees walked by. I turned around, walked across the street to La Petite Sweet for my second visit. I was greeted cheerfully and got my morning snack, pumpkin bread for my hubby and ordered a cake. I won't be traveling to Travelers again. It is definitely not worth the trip! PS: I live in Westmont and I try to buy local.
